I’m 70 years old I was only 19 when I first heard this song hard to believe it’s been 50 years since I first heard it I was still living at 🏠 home 🏠 the years sure do go by quickly grateful to still be alive and recalling old memories

I heard this wen it came out in 73 I was in 11 grade and I bought it still love it to day ❤
I used to love this as a young kid. No idea why. It is incredibly dark. The B side in the UK was a track called Put The Bone In, which was also quite dark about his dog dying because it was hit by a car or something, I cant quite remember but not a happy tune that is for sure. Great to see him again. Thanks for posting.

"First live performance in 25 years" - in 1996 that special song Yerry recorded in '73 had barely been out 23 years and he certainly supported its release in concerts for sometime afterward.

I LOOOVE this song, and have done so growing up! I'm actually having trouble to find a better and more timeless song, to be honest! But I'm also having difficulties with the math here; Withdraw 25 years from 1996, and we end up back in 1971...right..? So Terry did not perform live with this song since 1971..?? When it took off as hit Number 1 on Billboard in march -74..?? I find that very hard to believe. Don't you..?
