Awesome that your doing these videos on the chieftain I have the same car a 53 4door bought it for 1700 here in Northern Cali straight 8 still runs 3 on the tree. Use it as a daily, Keep up the vids not many videos & knowledge out there for these rare cars. ✌🏽
I'm thinking 5 to 6k considering probably not too many parts are reproduced for it. I still think it's very cool. Interior in it be a cool cruiser.

You will be able to sell it faster and for a little more if it was a factory color! True enthusiasts will pay up for one with nice paint provided they aren't going to have to take it back down to metal to put it back to the original color that the vin plate states it was. i can't really see someone paying the kind of dollars you're expecting with it being Barney purple. i mean it could happen but someone that's not going to just turn it into a rat rod or something will be quicker to buy it for more if the color is the original color.

Hey TK, your Pontiac Chieftain is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay you for it if you are willing to sell. Value is in the eye of the buyer. If they want it, they will come. Then again if you don't want to sell the worth to you drives the price up.
the purple is ok I guess but I think it looked better with petina. If the purple was an original color I could see it.
