Hey Scott! You can actually use the "shape tool" and make the shapes transparent. In the upper part of the Window there's the toolbar with "undo" and the "zoom" function. There you can change the colour of the border of your shape as well as the filling colour. There you can set it to "transparent" :)

Hey Scott, great little tutorial, love the channel. I've used Jamboard for education now (thank you pandemic) and you CAN get transparent fill in shapes. Just go to the top bar (under the title) while you have the shape tool selected in the left side bar, and then go up to the paint can icon and click it, you'll see a range of choices for color fill, one of them is "transparent". I use the shape tool to annotate photos for my students, but I'm going to give this OBS tie-in a try. Should be fun. Keep up the great work, your energy is contagious!
LOVED THE TROUBLESHOOTING as part of the tutorial. This is so overlooked by people doing tutorials, and is a source of authenticity that is helpful when actually trying to get something accomplished. I wanted also to mention that sharing Jamboard (blue Share button) and making the link public for anyone to view can address the "having to login to Google" problem in the Browser Source. You can also run the Jamboard from a second browser(!) and have the Browser source just view what gets put up on the screen. MUCH EASIER to manage so that you don't have to use the interaction window. Finally, if you size the browser source up a bit more (I don't have the exact numbers, but you'd make it wider and taller) you can actually have the green screen be at 100% while the left side tool bar can be off of the jamboard frame, then you're left with a glorious full frame Jamboard to work with. Again, excellent tutorial, you're doing great. Cheers!
Hey Scott a tip for you. After you use alt resize and remove the white part of the webpage you can the right click go to "transform" then to "fit to screen". This will then t your green screen will fit exactly. I hope it will help you and others. Keep up the great videos and tips.
Hi!! Yes, I'm a teacher and have been using Jamboard for a while and it can made interactive with students (audience). The same can be done with Google Slides and others.....and each student can have their own...just copy and paste several times. By the way...anyone using "Firefox" well, it rarely works.
As I was watching the section on the note I thought this would make a great item for the downkey streamer. Your note has a list of what topics you are covering on the stream.
You can chroma key out other color backgrounds as well. I’ve been experimenting with black background powerpoints with good results. A easy way to make the green, or any other color, background you use is to create a blank PowerPoint slide with the desired background color and export it as a jpg or png with 1920x1080 resolution.

@5:45 actually you can use Window Capture and then just ALT-drag the border in OBS to crop out any unwanted content of the window and then drag the size to whatever suits you. Maybe I misunderstand what you're aiming for but it seems to do the trick. When you drag the border handles of an object on OBS you change size but if you ALT-drag (in OBS for Windows 10 anyway) you crop the object (image, video, window etc)
