    Hello Scott, simultaneous move refers to moving two sources at the same time, for example you have Brian as a source, and you also have another source (i.e. MainCam) Then you set move filters for Brian (such as Brian1 and Brian2) and the same for your MainCam (MainCam1 and and MainCam2) then you can set Simultaneous Move (in Brian2) to activate the move transition for MainCam2, so when Brian2 (filter) becomes active it will also trigger MainCam2 then both sources Brian and MainCam will move to what you have set for each corresponding Move transition Filter.
    Also another tip, if you have MIDI Controller (i.e. Xtouch mini) you can trigger the move transition filter using the OBS-MIDI plugin and setting a midi key to trigger the filter by hotkey name, this works even if you don't define a specific hotkey combination for the filter. This is great for DJs because they will probably have a MIDI Controller laying around, and it is great to replace something like the Elgato Stream Deck or the use of Touch Portal since the midi controller has physical keys and there are some MIDI controllers cheaper than a stream deck.

Now, I haven't gone through all your tutorials yet, but it'd be great if you told us how you produce these divisions in your screen with the yellow lines and the blue circle with your image going up to the right corner!

    Hey Scott. I love your channel. Very informative and entertaining. I don't know if this was mentioned but the reason you would want to use the show/hide filter instead of hotkeys is if you use something like Touch Portal. You can make a button on your Touch Portal that will turn scene filters on and off. Basically the command is "Turn for scene (choose scene) filter (choose filter) (on/off)"

    Thank you for the video. I have a question; Is there a way to set an interval? Example; an image pops up every x seconds automatically.

    • @Shadow9T
      @Shadow9T 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found a way to achieve this. @Scott Fichter, you wanted to know where you could use the Start Delay for;
      I have a pop up that starts/shows every x second (the interval trigger I've setup with Lioranboard). By delaying the start response I keep the animation out of my screen for x amounts of seconds. If I don’t use the Start Delay the image keeps popping up immediately. I hope that makes sense, it's difficult to explain via words. There’s probably another way to achieve an popup image like this, but this works for me. If you have another idea, I'd like to hear it.

    Hey! I'm using your suggestion for switching sources inside a scene to try and show two different scenes by pressing a hotkey. (basically switching from program a to program b and back again). But the problem is, using your settings, the Sources just climb up my source list, they don't switch back and forth. I put them at the bottom of my list of sources because they have to be under my overlay, but they keep climbing the list and putting themselves above the overlay.
    Is there a reason for this? Does it have to do with the position number? If you could let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

    Hey Scott, I am trying to get this to work with nested scenes. I have a scene set up with 25 images that were exported from Powerpoint. Depending on the image I have it set up to where my camera resizes and moves to a different location automatically. The problem with this is it is always a hard cut. So I am trying to get the move transition to work on this setup so that the cuts are smooth, maybe even animated. Any thoughts? Should I apply the filter to the scene with the images or to the main scene where I have nested the images scene?

    • @ScottFichter
      @ScottFichter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nested scenes throw a monkey wrench into the mix because all the sources are under the umbrella of the parent name. I suggest not using nested scenes.

    • @mcgamerdad
      @mcgamerdad 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottFichter Thanks. Unfortunately the reason I use nested scenes out weighs my desire to use "move".
      I set up 4 live streams a week for a different channel and each live stream will have 10-30 different graphics and using nested scenes along wit touch portal commands is a major time saver on the preparation.
      I wonder if the ability to do transitions on the sources in the coming update will work...

    • @ScottFichter
      @ScottFichter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      MC, you can move the camera source automatically within a scene but it sounds like you need that auto camera motion on all scenes. Right?

    • @mcgamerdad
      @mcgamerdad 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottFichter First let me say how impressed I am with you taking time to respond and trying to help me. I am floored by your kindness and commitment.
      So, here is my set up:
      I have a Nested Scene with 20 Images. These images are either "2 Panel" or "3 Panel" The nested scene also has 2 camera configurations. One with the camera cropped and centered for the "2 Panel" graphic and the other even smaller in the top left for the "3 panel" graphic. All of these sources are set to "hidden"
      I then have this nested scene placed in my main scene at the top. This places the scene over my full screen camera.
      Now I have buttons programed in Touch Portal that will "show" the chosen graphic along with it's corresponding camera configuration.
      At any given time I can do the following:
      1. Just have full screen (no graphic selected)
      2. Press a button and have that graphic with it's camera configuration
      3. Press the same button again and go back to full screen
      4. Press a different button and automatically turn off the previous button as well as "hide" the graphic and its corresponding camera configuration while simultaneously "showing" the new graphic with its corresponding camera configuration .
      The only issue is that the "cut" between these changes is a hard cut and sometimes appear as a flicker or flash. So it would be very cool if the "transitions" could look smoother. Even a simple fade would be better.

    • @ScottFichter
      @ScottFichter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Raman, you want "window capture" then when you presented with properties you will see a "window" pulldown. The pulldown will list every program running on your computer. If you're using Brackets or Notepad ++ select that program or equivalent. BOOM! You should be good. If you don't already have two monitors I highly suggest it. It's the best investment a live streamer can make.
