Hi matey. What a great kit. It's quite involved isn't it? All very well explained by yourself as ever. Can I ask how you have set up your camera and is it in between you and the kit or is it above? I'm trying to work out how I could do this type of video without the camera being in the way. What I have is the camera on a tripod in between me and the desk which is good in that I can see the screen but it's really in the way and I have to reach round it. Anyway I look forward to seeing more of this kit and especially that lovely body shell. Hope you are having a good weekend. Is it back to school for you tomorrow? Hiya Pete! Yeah it's a lovely kit to build, lots more parts than a standard Tamiya to get your teeth into! The front suspension is particularly cool, you should see it with the shocks on - works so smoothly, it really is clever. As for the camera, above the desk is a storage cupboard, with LEDS under lighting the worktop. I mounted a bit of wood to that and attach the camera to it with a rubber band, My Sony has a movable screen, so I can swivel it so I can see what the camera does, It's above me so it doesn't get in the way, I just have to be careful not to bash my head on it! I've tried the tripod method that you describe, and yeah, it's a real pain working around it! Any help you can give me would be appreciated! ☺️
Hi there! Glad you are enjoying the build, it's a great chassis! The reason you have different thicknesses of bushing on each side is because one side has the lock-nut and spring in the output drive cup, the other side only has the allen (hex) head of the bolt that goes through the middle. Hai Mark ! Nice to know you .. i want ask you .. Which better tamiya TT02 or tamiya ff03 ? Thanks before :)
Hi - Nice to know you too! Well, they are very different cars, and the FF03 is more expensive, but you do get more for your money. With both cars, stock out of the box, I have to say the FF03 is a better car, it drives so nicely. But the TT02 is cheap, and with a few upgrades it is very good too. They are both very different cars to drive, but the FF03 just feels a little special! Best regards from Mark... :)
👍
Cheers my mate! :)
Eventually that neoprene piece will wear out. If you drive the shit out you ff03 civic, you can replace them with a 3mm o-ring!😊 Later!
Hi again Jason! Yeah, the neoprene feels very flimsy! O rings at the ready my friend! I will definitely drive the shit out of it!!! Cheers! :))
@@MarkBryanRC , almost pulled the trigger on that kit! Tamiyausa has it for 160usd. I got both my evo4's for 250usd back when i was racing! Love me some tamiya! Might do some restoration's this year. First will be my original TA-02SW!
Oh man! I love the TA-02SW! Awesome kit bro - I recommend this FF-03 though, at $160 it looks like a good buy! :))
@@MarkBryanRC , it's the kit that got me into touring car racing! Has Hpi after market double deck graphite chassis and shocks! MCI racing has sticker sheet, may have to remold spolier because the re-release looks different! Looking forward to re-re of ta03 Porsche! Have to F-pros. One's a DJE. Also still have original body set! I'm excited! Later, looking forward to next video!!😊
