Wow!!!! Fantastic looking wood! Would love to visit your mill and work your green chain like I used too way back when! Thank you for sharing another great video!
I believe I noticed your "mistake" you started a new log then started to cut at what looked like maybe 8x4 then backed out rotated and returned to making 4x4 passes. Great video btw! Really memorizing! Thanks for posting! 😊
You found it! I was hoping someone would be able to see it! I had just split my cant block and didn’t switch my set back to 4/4! Something I always have to remember to do!
So the buyer is a large lumber distributor and they’ll grade it at their outfit! I look at all the reports to see if the avg. grade was comparable to how I thought it sawed out!
It’s possible just one of the sawbits just isn’t sitting right in the saw A lot of times with higher dollar wood when setting the sawbits should set them from the side as well It’s rough sawn lumber it will likely get plained to 13/16 or 7/8 or 3/4 as a finished product
Yahoo it's tuesday and helmsburgsawmill has a great video out ànd you answered my question by me reading the comments, thanks for the video and keep them coming

Others that are more expensive I can't afford....😃
Love the fast pace!
I can go quicker with the F pattern saw when I’m in poplar!!

You’re a bit odd !! I like it ! Have a great week!
I would fully agree😂😂
Maple being finished for house cabinets or?
A whole semi load will get shipped out to a finished wood distributor! They’ll finish the lumber and decide how it gets used up
@@Helmsburgsawmill I had the same question but read first and found answer thank you
It would be nice to see the down line procedure including what happens to the off cuts and bark thanks Peter W Melbourne Australia
Thank you for watching!! I’ll do one with the grade lumber soon! Did you by chance watch my last video?
Great action video. About how many board feet of Maple did you produce in that run.
Just in this video? It was over 1500 bdft!
what do you do with the drop off waist ?
Bring back the split screen
I plan on doing more!!
With the lumber do you have all grades in the same bundle just sell it for a straight thru price??

@@Helmsburgsawmill yes sir the big distributors put in a claim if the can If we buy lumber we re grade it as well
Love your channel! 👍 However, too many ads on "🖕tube!" 🤬
Nice video, Ian, but it seriously strained my attention span....
I hope you don't mind if I split it up and watch it over a couple of days...
No obligations sir!!:) I appreciate you watching period!
Why such deep groves ! Seems you have a bend or mid sharpened teeth?

Yes what you said is correct! Also the video kind of highlights those groves😂 In real life, they don’t look near as aggressive
@@Helmsburgsawmill ya they don’t look that bad to me but I run the same saw I’m use to it
