Great that it worked Ben. Saves the back for sure. And having two makes picking up those rounds easy. Stand straight up and go with two rounds if you’re moving them from place to place. And with two round you are balanced as your carrying them.
Thanks for the mention Ben 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋.
Just a thought, maybe a little more hook on it on the end. But if it works. Don’t fix it. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋.
They are a great tool. I’ve never seen them for sale any where.

Ben, I never saw Noel's homemade pickaroon. So, it's good to revisit topics so that new people can see what is possible. Now, after I watched you make your pickaroon, a thought came to mind. Your picaroon looks a lot like a fireman's axs. While not exactly like a fireman's axe, maybe you can do a search of the interweb for images and that will help you with version 2.0. BTW, I think you are onto something. Plus, now I need to check out Noel's pickaroon. Be careful and Enjoy the Journey - Cheers

Nice supply of wood Ben. That's the exact reason why I don't buy those aluminum oxide cutting wheels anymore. They explode way too easy. I only use metal diamond cut wheels nowadays, so much better and worth every penny. Glad you had worn your PPE and hopefully others will too. Nice job on the pickaroon. It looks to be working well for you and it cost you next to nothing and only a few minutes to make, nicely done. Many years back I changed over from a pickaroon to using handheld log tongs. Many tools to do the job, all good, thus it comes down to preferences. Have a great week Ben!

Good evening Paul, yes 6 cords delivered and another 6 coming. We love having it in the yard and we love working with it. The pickaroon I built in the video worked great today. I built another one this morning and it doesn't work nearly as well. Not sure why?? I have been fiddling with the point but no success. If I can't built more pickaroons as good as my first one I may follow you and get handheld log tongs. If you have a favorite pair I'd love to hear about them. Have a great week, Ben 👋😎👍🪵🪓

@@whenworkisplay I don't have a favorite but rather a few for different size log rounds, small, medium and large. There are so many brands out there nowadays with some made well and others not so well. It's one of those tools you want to hold before buying. They don't all feel of the same quality or comfort.

A pickeroon is a handy tool for moving sticks of wood. One false swing, though, and they can cause injury. Be careful with it. I find that a guy can overestimate the size of log they can move with them and can lead to over exertion. They are best for smaller rounds and odd size pieces but not for really big rounds.
