    I have the 986s and need 5,7 seconds from 0-100. It feels amazing in a 20 years old car.

    718. Not an ounce of the classic flat-6 left in that engine. Travesty.

    It might have the edge on times, but the latest Boxster doesn’t have anywhere near the great sound that the flat 6 engines can produce.

      I hesitated to put it in, but I didn't find a video that was good enough so I didn't put it since there already was the phase 1 even tho that's not the same engine in the phase 2

    To me the 981 narrowly beats the 987, just because it revs a little faster and is slightly more aggressive. 718 might be faster but it sounds like ass.

    The 718 can do 4.7s with the sc package. I myself did a 4.2s in my 718 boxster 2.0L with PDK

      Have driven in both, a manual 260bhp 986 S would be similar performance to a 981 non S, but you’d need absolutely perfect launch and gear changes. The auto however on the 986 s is atrocious and adds pretty much a second onto the 0-60 time, and would not even be close.

      Yes. In fact for the line "986->987-> 981" 982 would be the correct use. Because "718" was introduced as a n attachement to the name (like panamera, macan, cayenne) not for the generation code. the official name is "718 cayman" as used with the 911s in "911 carrera" or "911 turbo". so you are very correct sir.

    Should have featured the 3.2 liter, 6 speed 986 Boxster S imo...
    Mine is modded with a Fabspeed Maxflo exhaust, Evolve CAI, IPD Plenum/TB, catless headers, Numeric shifter etc. And it sounds absolutely vicious in comparison to everything in this video...
    Next step is the Fabspeed "Spec Boxster racing" exhaust and that 'should' completely satisfy my desire for constant flat 6 music at its finest 😂

    Your numbers have been off for quite a while the 718 came out some years ago the only thing nee for 2022 is the 718 gt4rs. And the last one you used the 2.5 for the 718 at least keep it consistent by showing the same motor type

    • @carsaccelerationstv484
      @carsaccelerationstv484  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the feedback ! I'm sorry if the numbers are confusing, I do not display dates when the car is release but the year of the car I'm showing. Regarding the last one, I thought I used the 2.0 litters while doing my research but maybe I took the wrong one, I'll see more into it and if I'm wrong then I'll try to correct it !
      Edit : I just went to check the video I used for the 718, and it really says that it is the 2.0 300hp 718. So maybe it's a mistake from him.
      Regarding being consistent by showing the same moter type, I displayed here the base model boxster in all generations. The 2.7 for the 986, 987, 981 et the 2.0 for the 718. I didn't want some boxster S in here.
