4x4 Astro Van Adventure To Meet Up With Wonderhussy At A Death Valley Hot Spring

- The beginning of this video is at the South entrance off 190 in Death Valley - The beginning of that road is pretty easy then you take the Y to the right and when you start climbing the road gets worse. THEN as you get into the canyon and the 9 water crossings it becomes evident that 4x4, high clearance and larger LT AT tires aired down are needed.
This was an epic trip filled with serious off road adventure along with meeting great people, yes, including Wonderhussy, she invited me out. it's an off-roading mecca for people who've been journeying here, many for decades... I was able to connect with people who also built their custom rigs who really dug the Astro, so much so they convinced me I could do Steel Pass on my way out, which I did AND I had Wonderhussy as my copilot on that epic adventure - stay tuned for that video and check out Wonderhussy's page for the videos she shot of my van and Steel Pass...!!

Bro, we used to hammer that road in our 93 civic hatchback. Three guys. When we got stuck, two guys got out and pushed. Second gear, 3000 RPM.

For the back country of Death Valley, KO2's is the only tire I'll trust.
Seems like a great first trip to "you know where". I've been going there for the past 15 years. Didn't make it out as much last year due to "life" getting in the way. One of the best places on this blue marble. Beware the wind, coyotes, and burros. All three can wreak havoc on your camp.
Oh and Sem;er Fi...that was a great story from your youth. Similarly did those things when young, dumb, and full of creativity. 😂

if you go back, make sure to hike beverage canyon. It is hands down the most beautiful hike ive done in my life and im not saying that lightly.

Check for traffic at the water crossing. Also good to know there is a source of water if needed.
