Don't know how to get the redeemer/hanger document (the gold & black gun) but it details that those who pick it up have a urge to put the gun to their head and shoot for the stars, the "Apparition" has a knife and will begin stabbing you to death if you don't shoot the gun at yourself or it in time, but other players can be stabbed by it if they get too close. (Also it's not limited to one appearance as it can appear multiple times within the same run.)
