The longer I listen to the interview and Petty's replies... I am so proud of her. She is a prime example of the REAL peoples of South Africa who are wonderfully friendly by nature. South Africans are NOT racist in their hearts, not like in USA , UK or Canada.. it is the SA gov who created the laws and not the citizens.
I went to school near Piet Retief .. Standerston. The ANC has badicall reduced it and Puettetief to rubble.. there is zero infrastructure to even the rosds are crumpling back into dirt roads. Its shocking.

She's an arrtist but what if she would have be anybody?
I'm not proud of my country at all.
I was complaining at how American police welcome foreing people sometimes.
But now must realise that my country is not better at all.
And i fear this could even be worse in the future with those many extremists and racists people.

And let's not forget about the corruption & evil of SA government also. Sadly they have done nothing to help our black citizens become educated in basic schooling as well as how to improve their lives. Or, how to become part of a 21st century world. I guess ANC keeps them living in the past, to keep the poor and build hatred for any European life styles. It's easy to control people when you keep them uneducated and in poverty.

The presence of BlacaMoors in ancient Europe explains the history of classical arts incepency. Stradivarius , Guanari etc
, does not exist withput the BlacaMoor, consider Bheethoven, Mozart Alexander Pushkin. The truth is Outhere

To be frank. Opera is a "white" Culture. All of the classical peras (and also classical) Music have been written more or less by white people. If "you" want to make a race-problem out if it, then it is your approach. I also think, (as Pretty Yende) that this is a gift to all humanity. If you don´t like it, you can live without it.
I have been at the Vienna State Opera yesterday. (Walküre ... Richard Wagner ..., so more the heavy stuff ... and a plot,. where a German God (Wotan) has the major role. Guess, who performed the role of Wotan? Eric Owens ... a person of colour. Did he get good rewards? Yes.
So ... Pretty Yende may have had problems in Paris. This is sad. But we also have problems with illigal immigration and crime. So ... what is the conclusion? That we are all racist? I don´t think so.
