That's how I describe Energon and Superlink. It's not THAT bad, but a lot of people hate it just because someone else does. Granted, a lot of Energon haters blindly hate the show as much as they blindly worship Transformers Prime or G1, so I doubt they formed these opinions on their own
because energon was the opposite way around, it originated in the west and got localized in japan. this is also why the western version has worse animation in the giant galvatron vs giant optimus fight, the western release was rushed and half finished, by the time it got localized to japan they actually finished the animation.

Well this was the sequel series for Armada (Micron Legends) which had Megatron evolve into Galvatron already. While in dub he apparently got resurrected as Megatron and then evolved into Galvatron again, in japanese version he was resurrected as Galvatron Hyper Mode and then evolved into Super Galvatron.
Idk about that, majority of the Japanese cast sounds exactly the same, with exceptions like optimus and galvatron, while wheeljack sounds bored as hell

Despite how bad the animation and CGI is at least it's better than Ex-Arm. Come to think about it Ex-Arm is so bad that Energon/Superlink looks like a Jujutsu Kaisen/Kimetsu no Yaiba Animation

Always found it odd that the show originated in Japan, so optimus prime here is “grand convoy” -- but his super mode limbs have “OP” on them.
