Yesss I've been waiting for this. Thanks for listening to your community! This is one of those products that really stood out to me. I applied this to my brother's truck that he never washes and regularly takes it offroad. It's still beading strong since I applied it on Christmas day.
You also get more control with consistent application pressure for more complete and even coverage.. 👍👌✌ I would not recommend applying with an application pad on paint that isn't already very clean. The short knap and small contact area don't provide a lot of safety, so check your pads frequently..
Allen Maestas I’ve been using it full strength as a drying aid and switched to Bead Maker, because the Sonax was streaking. I guess if I was using it properly, I wouldn’t have been have troubles with it. This is by far the best detailing channel on TH-cam
This BSD blew my mind when I first used it few years back in terms of gloss and durability. Used it purely as a drying aid and it never streaked. Only reason I stopped using it was because of the neverending flow of new products! Great reminder of what I have sitting dormant in my cupboard. Only thing I didn't really like was that it lacked slickness that other products had.
Thanks Brian!! I just ordered like 12hrs ago and was looking for the best way to apply and get the best out of it. what a product! thanks again keep up the great content!!
I've been using BSD for a few years now and really can't praise it enough , it's a product that gets used and doesn't end up sitting in the cupboard like some "fad" products , my wife's Landrover has BSD on it and I rate it better than the Fusso that my car has on .Great info as ever Brian .
BSD is a great topper for Fusso or as a drying aid over Fusso. I've been doing that for over 6 months and the car looks better now than on the day it was fully detailed back in September.
Hey Brian. I got very excited when I saw this video. I knew you would give an honest practical review of BSD. I also do painting in my shop, and not having silicone is a BIG tick for me. I also have diluted it with deionised water, and used it the way you just showed. I'm glad I'm doing the right thing, as it was just to extend the last bit I had in a bottle. Ticks all the boxes for me. A brilliant product. Look forward to your next vid brother. Kev KP Daly Automotive UK
My daily driver needed protection for the winter. I did the Sonax Polymer Net Shield, Spray & Seal and BSD combination recommended by Brian in another video. Gloss is just as good as a ceramic after the 7 day cure time but without the wait. Can't wait to see how it holds up to our winters.

I really do like BSD and I think, as you highlighted when used as a drying aid or even when spread with a damp cloth it's the perfect all round QD. Using it this way I get no issues with application and the protection is 2+ months with great hydrophobicity. My only issue is the rinseless wash method. For me I wouldn't go near anything other than light dust with BSD, even diluted like this. It just doesn't have enough lubricity for me and used on that amount of dirt I personally don't believe it would clean the paint safely. Only my thoughts Brian and not saying I am right.
Brian, Big thanks for all the great tips for product use as you always do in your video's. I always check in with your Apex channel for lots of helpful reviews.

What's your take on how the Sonax Spray and Seal stacks up against the BSD! :-) Hey I went by autozone today and picked up a box of the "Astro Grip" 7mil nitrile gloves and they are a very high quality nitrile glove and have the texture surface which is nice to have! These gloves are made by "SAS" safety corporation which is a big industrial supply company! Thanks for the recommendation! Hi Brian, 9 minutes onwards: by coating do you mean only ceramic coating or anything sealant & wax? Thanks
Hy Brian, can this be used as a clay lube? And if can, at wath dilution? Thanks!
So Brian right now my SUV has been coated a few times with Mother's cmx ceramic coating. Applying BSD as a gloss enhancer would that affect or remove some of the protection that the cmx affords?? Thanks!
So just use reload on ceramic coating?
On CarPro coatings....Premier on IGL, CanCoat on Gyeon, OverCoat on Kamikaze....and so on.
If we use it as a drying aid, we must wipe again with a dry towel?
yes of course.
@@FandyMSaputra I don't mean the drying towel. I mean once afterwards
Wonderful tips!!! Thank you !!! God bless you !!!
I am just happy to help a bit. Thank you!
@@apexdetail85 Brian! Great video demo of the Sonax BSD! I used the Sonax Spray and Seal on my next door neighbors silver Camry! I did a basic strip wash, no claying and applied the Sonax Spray and Seal and damn if it didn't get great beading and a really nice slick gloss on the Camry! I used my little "Metrovac blaster sidekick" and the water sheeted and blew off effortlessly in a very short time! I was really impressed with the Sonax Spray and Seal! I've heard that the Spray and Seal can last anywhere from 1-2 months and if you layer it everytime you wash it will obviously longer and extend the shine and gloss! What's your take on how the Sonax Spray and Seal stacks up against the BSD! :-)
Hey I went by autozone today and picked up a box of the "Astro Grip" 7mil nitrile gloves and they are a very high quality nitrile glove and have the texture surface which is nice to have! These gloves are made by "SAS" safety corporation which is a big industrial supply company! Thanks for the recommendation! They are a tad pricey at $19 for the box of 100 but they are a very high quality glove that you immediately notice and feel when you put them on! I like the bright orange! :-) These are standard inventory for all the Autozones!

@@macbaker8477 They are fantastic! Enjoy good friend!. Enjoy the IK Foamer!!
@@apexdetail85 Brian I should have the IK foamer by Wednesday or Thursday of next week! :-)
Great video ! Can you clarify when you say diluted 3:1, is that 3 parts BSD to 1 part water ? Or other way round ?
It is 3 parts water and 1 part BSD
How would you say it compares with CarPro Elixir?
Would you recommend this or meguiars ceramic wax over the top of powerlock?
As a topper for the Soft99 Fusso Coat, would you use the Speed & Barrier or this Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer?
wow. ive never tried this product. my most versatile product is ONR. would you compare both ?
can u use it on glass?
Fantastic video! Do you mix this with normal water or distilled water? And how long would the protection last on a 3:1?
Would you be able to use this as a rinseless wash for wheels also? Also what gsm/ pile towels do you use when doing this process?
Would you also be able to mix this with say 1/3 rinseless wash, 1/3 BSD, 1/3 water ?
500 gsm or higher...Use something more suitable for wheels.
@@GBxDynamiicZz Just half ounce rinseless would work.
Thank you so much, I really needed this video.
Hope it helps a bit.
great product review video again buddy. 🍻🍻
I use this as a drying aid mostly. PNS, then bsd when it gets a wash. That's what I usually do to my mates cars.
Wise choice good friend!
If it has to be applied with an applicator the 'detailer' or quick detailer aspect goes out of the window. Just bought 5 litres, will see how it goes as it's well reviewed everywhere
A lightly damp MF towel will work fine.
@@JWL-UK I have since used the product several times , it is EPIC. I have even applied when the vehicle is slightly wet and just dried the car , then used a full dry microfiber to give a quick buff over. The gloss levels and hydrophobicity are impressive
