Lovely fly I’ll tie some and use them on the rivers in the Austrian Alps. I like conversations and observations around the tying. Some little things like the wax on the finger a la Dave McPhail and the thread control championed also by Vladimir Oholi stood out for me. The most valuable part was about tight dubbing to give longevity before saturation and sinking. Thanks you both for taking the time.

Thank you for sharing this pattern. New to me so I tied some up in 14s and 16s with olive dub for the BWOs out here in CO. Looking forward to letting them run soon. Great video!

Great Instructional video. Thank you for that. I was always wondering. Do you two utilized floatant at all? If so, what do you use, if you don't mind sharing? Thank you again. Truly appreciated.

I appreciate your videos. I fish only warmwater and have changed my keys to fishing panfish. Simple is my go to anymore. I have dismissed the thought of a magic pattern. I do carry many patterns to the creek but generally fish 2 offerings. For the surface i fish a yellow craft foam spider. I am convinced thst the color matters not except for my sbility ti see it in all light conditions for these old eyes. For subsurface i tie a pattern called a Blind Squirrel. Color here does matter and squirrrel tail wing is the correct color and i tie in size 10. The smb also like this and i believe carp would eat it as well. Just none here to test that idea out. I do use many other flies at times to break up the boredom.

The Found Link is popular and very successful here in Scotland especially on the Lake of Menteith during the mayfly hatch. Always have a few in my box.

I realize there is knowledge and skill in tying these bugs, and I do love fishin'em, but, for me, watching someone tying'em, even Kelly Galloup, is as exciting as watching grass grow.

Would guess that 40-50% of all customers here have hats on as well. Brian has worn one every day, for 35 years, and has worn one in every video he has ever made. This is a fly shop….not a church. Very strange and rude comment.
