Olly is amazing with all of his work for charity. Thanks for taking us on the ride, Tom. And the parlor is looking fantastic! You'll be milking in there in no time!!
Tom, you and Olly need to have a regular TV show! You are great. How open and real you both are. Thanks for not only sharing the progress on the parlour, which is great, but also sharing this important time with Olly.
@@James27Simko I never really thought about that, even with Tom and others showing things pretty truthfully. To me it sounds like bliss, to be honest, but I can see people struggling with isolation. I think I told colleagues of mine how nice it'd be to have some sort of job rotation to interrupt routine and monotony. That might help with isolation, as well. Not too feasible, though. Will have a chat with a farmer next time I meet one. Least thing I can do, I guess.
@@VintageProjectDE yeah when youre stuck in the big machine you wish for a lonely life but imagine 20 years doing the same thing in the same field with nobody to talk to whilst working 16 hours a day, then, you've got 40 more years of that until your body fails and thats if you're lucky. We as humans forget just how social we are when there are so many others around us
@@James27Simko Fair enough. We know so little about others' lives and struggles. Every opportunity to take their perspective is invaluable. One of many aspects why I chose to deviate to OHS.
I have to say thank you for the mental health awareness chat!! I am so glad people are talking about their mental health and checking in on each other more! I am about a 80 % today and went outside for a walk that was so refreshing. The parlor is amazing!! Great team work !! We love your videos and all you do❤
As a retired dairy herdsman working on my own for many years always busy never realised contact with people so important now as 73 year old on my own lost my wife of 43 years 5years ago and now recently disabled no family to ask for help ,friends and other relatives never make contact now so those few minutes just passing time of day with anyone so important. I would like to thank Ollyblogs for the great work of raising awareness for people like me who have worked in the farming industry people of all ages who never realised that mental health affects you in later life awareness is out there and hopefully help for those who are affected just a phone call, someone to pass the time of day so important so again thanks to Ollyblogs and the crew for doing something for us lonely people
Tom, if you and Joanna do launch a podcast, I hope this side is shown there. The honesty and humility is so important. Farming is hard, it’s not shown enough.
I am at 85%. I have sleep apnea and don’t get as much sleep as I should or need, even with a CPCP machine. Farming has got to be one of the hardest and least appreciated jobs. You are at it all day long..no matter what day of the week, no matter what time of year, no matter what the weather! Animals depend on you for care. As does your family…and you need care also! It is not an easy life! Although, nowadays I think to some extent, we are all under pressure! From all sides! So let me just say to you, your father, your family, farm workers and all farmers out there, that you are all appreciated. Thank you Tom and Ginger Andy for sharing your lives with us and letting us see a side of farming a lot of us don’t get to see! 🥰🙏🏼🚜❤️
The fibre glass is a great job for the parlour it will he so easy to wash down everytime,i use it alot in the building of cruisers for the river shannon in Ireland its a fabulous material and so so strong, wrll done to Olly and his team he is a remarkable chap doing all this work for charity fair play👏👏👏
What a amazing team for spreading the word of mental health. I had a nephew who took his own life and no one in the family ever even expected he was struggling. It’s so important to take the time to really take the time and listen to them showing them you care about their feelings and what’s going on in their lives.
Cracking that you got to catch up with Olly. What you both do with these videos every week makes a massive difference to people. Keep doing what you're doing both of you!
70% today The parlour is getting there👍🏻 And great to see Ollie and the team with an important conversation about mental health. I think a lots of people out there like to see the good and bad day it’s nice to know that this is normal part of managing or running a business. And I would think it affects self-employed people more as they are the captain of the ship. So even when life is going well you’re trying to plan a route round the next storm. So not always concentrating on the good. ❤
Wow Tom I love the colour of the parlour. Don't worry about missing things on video, we're just grateful that you share your life and dreams with us. Love to Joanna Ginge and Mumma Ginge 💙💙♥️♥️
Kudos to Ollie, depression is a horrible problem. Robs you of your life. I've struggled with depression all my life. I've found the weather has big effect on me. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it is cloudy and rainy a lot. My genetic pool is Scottish, Irish, German and Norwegian, all places of minimal sunshine. I got a Sunlight Lamp and it helps me feel better. Just an inexpensive, easy trick. I think you could use them driving, working in your office, eating a meal, most anytime. Not a big thing, but every little bit helps. Thanks for caring and helping. And blessings on you and your family, and the new baby Tom. And blessings on you too Ollie. Thank God there are good people like you in the world.
Olly hats off to you. I have been feeling low this last couple of month. If it wasn’t thinking of my 11yrd boy and seeing his face in my head. Great video as usual Tom, thankyou for airing Olly's challenge. Parlour is starting to look like a milking parlour. Fantastic news from Sunday. Now the fun starts in the Pemberton household.
My son did something similar. He long-boarded across Canada to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and for childhood cancer research. He survived cancer at 2 and had 2 strokes. He had his 3rd stroke while doing a fund raiser approx. 1500 km from finishing his trek. He was told he would never walk again but he did! He re-learned to long board again and 3 years to the day of his last stroke, he finished his trek! He published a book ( Long For Life) about his experiences and disclosed his mental health challenges along the way. He wanted people to know that there are people willing and happy to help, and no matter your challenges, there’s a way to get through it! Thank you for fund raising in the UK! ❤️❤️❤️
What olly is doing is amazing for mental health and all the charities I’m disabled and some days I really do struggle and I think back to eight years ago I could climb a mountain and now I struggle to walk 50 yards and people don’t realise what goes around in your head when you can’t do the things people take for granted and you’re videos are amazing they keep me on a high because some times I could sit and cry with frustration not being able to do things .
Best of luck for the journey Olly and crew! It's ok to not be ok, take care of yourselves. I've had my fair share of ups and downs, hit a bad spell about 7 years ago, and fortunately I'm more up than down these days. Hi Tom! This is one of the most importent videos you have mad and i´ve seen them all. I´m not a farmer, but your YouTobe channels helps me and probably mann others to Get through the day. Mental Awareness is realt important and it concerns us all. Thanks guys you Are the best…
Congrats to Tom, olly and the other lads for doing such an amazing job of showing the value of talking to people. As someone that has suffered with mental health for many years now, seeing this level of support from pure heroes makes someone day better and can save a life 👏👏
I just want to say. Tom watching your videos inspired me to bring up the courage of owning my faults. Even accepting someone's anger while keeping calm enough to come up with some solutions. I mean some! That's amazing to have choices when in the past I have reacted too shocked to say anything in fear of beeing punished, emotionally burning in fear and shame/resentment against myself for making a mistake. For being a burden for someone. For bringing me in danger to trigger cruel reactions in others. (Childhood learnings) It's healing to watch you. And it's awesome to rise the awareness for depression. My way of thinking, feeling and making descitions includes some tendencies to depression. It's easier when it's no taboo. Thank you 🌞
Excellent stuff Tom, parlour coming along 👍 Absolutely fantastic the fund raising Ollie does year round. Myself and 18 others did a charity moped run from John o groats to lands end a few year’s back for Alder-hay hospital and steps charity , raised over £40 which for a few farmers on mopeds was amazing. We’ll done everyone involved
An amazing cause that deserves all the attention in the world. Thank you for joining them on this trip and raising awareness. My day has been great, but I've had bad days and I'm glad that I am now surrounded by people that I am comfortable sharing those bad days. This hasn't always been the case and I'm grateful for people taking the time to see to really see you and ask that follow up question. Small things change lives, they save lives.
60% day, which is good for me. A life of pain for 19 years now. The parlour is looking great. So glad you were able to meet up with Olly. I’ve been tracking him the whole time. I saw he was going to be near you this morning. He’ll be passing Farmer P and The Funkey Farmer late today or early tomorrow.
been watching Olly and saw you seeing this via the drone brought tears to my eyes well done I worked in London for 25 years in a very stressful job went through a breakup and think I had a break down, had so I thought no one around to help me, I was close to life changes and managed to make it through - no idea how but please talk to people well done guys xx
That was so well said. I have had my own issues with my Mental Health and the best thing is to be honest and talk about it because I find most people open up about their own issues. I had hoped to catch up with the convoy but something came up that prevented me from going but at least I am following through TH-cam. A brilliant challenge and cause.
❤ It makes me happy on a very personal level that you guys are bringing awareness to mental health issues, talking about it, and erasing the stigmas. I suffered with major anxiety for years and didn't know what was wrong with me because NOBODY talked about it back then! The worst thing about anxiety is if you don't know what it is, because that just makes the anxiety 100 times worse! You truly do feel all alone, crazy, and you learn to mask it so that no one realizes that there's something wrong with you. So Bravo!!! Keep talking! Keep learning! Check on your friends! Share your experiences with them, so they know they aren't alone! ❤ Understanding my anxiety at long last, helped me to conquer it!
Great video, the Parlour is coming along, but more importantly what a great part where Olly and yourself spoke openly about mental health, 👍👍👍Kudos to you both, along with the three other guys taking part in this challenge ✊️
Love the colour that's my favourite colour green Well done for supporting Olly and well done guys for what your doing mental health is such a huge issue and it needs to be talked about
Well done Olly and Tom. You are quite right about the need to communicate, the hardest part is finding someone you feel you can talk to and not feel you are imposing / burdening them. I feel the effects of this topic is are going to be with us for some time to come. There is a sea change coming in agriculture. Frankly our government is sleep walking into it, a rabbit in the headlights comes to mind.
The parlour looks wonderful Tom, the brickies did an amazing job and the fibreglass and paint look so fresh. Sure it'll make milking so much more pleasant and comfortable for you, Luke and of course the girls. Many thanks to Olly and friends for their efforts, well done lads.

Because of various stuff going on in my life, I'm currently being treated for depression and anxiety. I often get stuck in my head, but I've found that watching (and in some cases, rewatching) your videos helps break the cycle of negative thoughts and gives me something else to focus on.
Thanks very much for sharing Tom. Well done to Olly and the other lad's, fantastic reason to hit the road together. Unfortunately I've had more dark days than I'd like to admit. But I know they happen so when they do I try to lift the phone and phone one of my closest friends. They always know when things aren't right with me,I'm lucky to have them. It's a terrible feeling but it does pass, the hardest thing is believing it will. Keep up the good work lads and we'll be tracking Olly from Éire ☘ Safe journey to everyone.

Spending the currency of your life helping others is a noble gift. Good on you!
Well done everyone involved for focussing on the importance of asking really how are YOU doing😊
Tom can’t wait to see the parlor done all the way from beginning to end . Looking real good so far . And Congratulations to you both a new baby coming . When is your wife due to have the baby? And what do you want a boy or girl ? Or our you going to do the balloon color to tell us what the gender is going to be? That would be cool to see. The combine convoy is a wonderful thing what they our doing to get the message out their . So people will know we have not forgotten about them and sponsor their charity . Thank you for taking us for a wonderful ride.
Hi Tom! This is one of the most importent videos you have mad and i´ve seen them all. I´m not a farmer, but your YouTobe channels helps me and probably mann others to Get through the day. Mental Awareness is realt important and it concerns us all. Thanks guys you Are the best…
What a service to all your viewers. To you, all your family and Olly great blessings.
Congrats to Tom, olly and the other lads for doing such an amazing job of showing the value of talking to people. As someone that has suffered with mental health for many years now, seeing this level of support from pure heroes makes someone day better and can save a life 👏👏
Thank you for putting out this video to help raise awareness.
(Childhood learnings)
It's healing to watch you. And it's awesome to rise the awareness for depression. My way of thinking, feeling and making descitions includes some tendencies to depression. It's easier when it's no taboo.
Thank you 🌞
Excellent stuff Tom, parlour coming along 👍
Absolutely fantastic the fund raising Ollie does year round.
We all love Olly's "rants". Mint green on the walls? To give a minty fresh look each day.
GOOD MORNING TOM,LUKE,HIEDI, AND THE GINGER WARRIOR WITH A MUSTACHE! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Understanding my anxiety at long last, helped me to conquer it!
60% today but that is an improvement. Every day is a new chance. Congratulations to you and Jo, take care of yourselves x
Great video, the Parlour is coming along, but more importantly what a great part where Olly and yourself spoke openly about mental health, 👍👍👍Kudos to you both, along with the three other guys taking part in this challenge ✊️
Well done to olly and the team for raising awareness to a great cause and good luck for the rest of the journey (70%)
Since I have followed Olly, I’ve always replied as a percent to him. Love it. 👍👍🇬🇧
Love the colour that's my favourite colour green
Well done for supporting Olly and well done guys for what your doing mental health is such a huge issue and it needs to be talked about
Well done Olly and Tom.
Great job Ollie is doing if it saves one life it will be worth it .Keep her lit lads and keep talking to everyone.
The parlour looks wonderful Tom, the brickies did an amazing job and the fibreglass and paint look so fresh. Sure it'll make milking so much more pleasant and comfortable for you, Luke and of course the girls.
Many thanks to Olly and friends for their efforts, well done lads.
The parlor is quite a process! Thanks for raising awareness of mental health, I’ve battled it my whole life. Love and prayers 😇💜
Hats of to Olly…. parlours looking good to🤗
I am very thankful for olly and yours work, i work on a farm myself in Austria and i really can relate to the stories you tell. Your videos really can help through tough days, thank you

Well done mental health is hard for people that don't understand it .I suffer myself myself with seasonal disorder it is really challenging at time and you both prescribed it perfectly 🥰
Well done Tom and especially Olly. We all need to talk more and help each other out.
New parlour is starting to look the business Tom, and well done Olly and the Team, Fair Play💯👍🙏😎
Well done to olly and the team and for the charity...Tom you are awesome for sharing this video ❤
"Our best" is different every day. Good reminder for those "unproductive times" when we perhaps judge ourselves or others too harshly. Love harder than you work... 💗
when i was younger i had a breakdown , i was then spending hours everyday alone in a tractor and milking and had been working all the hours i could do for years , it all came to a head and i tried to tale my own life , lucky enough i lived ,it was very close , what Olly is doing is fantastic and so good hearing you talk about what you Tom and Olly feel and let others know you go through it too, Fantastic work guys , Thank you
A problem shared is a problem halved…… always good to talk. My son has helped in setting up some men’s groups in West Lothian.😊
The parlour is coming along nicely Tom ,I'm 95 percent today.
Lots of work going on getting the parlor prepared and ready to begin Milking the cows. Mental health is very important and thanks fer your time and effort.

You guys are so freaking cool! What you do to help better others lives is amazing. It brought tears to my eyes to hear Ollie say people need to know they're not alone. ❤❤❤
Some great time lapse videos of Mark smashing it. Reminded me of the start of the programme brush strokes. One for the oldies like me!! 😂
Cracking video Tom, some days life can get me down but since I’ve found yourself the ginger guy, Olly and Charlotte I love watching you all and it gives me a laugh thank you. 85%
This is a massively important topic, Tom. Thank you so much for bringing it more into the light.
Good to see you catching up with Olly and raising awareness for mental health!
Tom i have to say I'm about 90% today, What a brilliant thing Ollie is doing. Your palour is starting to come together nicely
Thanks Tom for filming the charity. I totally agree and follow you both. Thanks again
Because of various stuff going on in my life, I'm currently being treated for depression and anxiety. I often get stuck in my head, but I've found that watching (and in some cases, rewatching) your videos helps break the cycle of negative thoughts and gives me something else to focus on.
Cracking video Tom!! Great progress on the palour!! And fantastic to see you visit Olly and his team on their trip!! Great awareness going on!!! 😍😍😍😍
Nice to see Tom and olly talking trust me it helps to talk well done team combine
Watching your videos makes my day and really helps my mental health. So a big thank you Tom
Keep up the good work lads and we'll be tracking Olly from Éire ☘
Safe journey to everyone.
Well done Tom and your dad for showing support to Olly and the charities his combine challenge represents! Lovely cab conversations - respect ✊ The parlour is looking cool in its mint green!
Nice drone shots of galgate and the west coast mainline. Was good to see the red vehicle "giving way" to the convoy as you tried to leave the plough carpark. Pretty much the standard of driving I deal with each day when trying to use the next two turnings on the right each day.
Parlour looking great that you are talking with Olly about mental health and wellbeing in the farming community. Great insight into team Pemberton as usual #98%
Hello Papa Tom !! Yes, you've gained a new title now. As a member of the You Tube Papa Club !! Parlor looks great. Coming along nicely. I am following Ollie's channel as well, for the Combine Convoy.
Hey Tom!!! Mate I’m heading over from Ireland 🇮🇪 for a camping trip around Wales and was going to make an effort to come up and see you and the farm. It would probably be end of this week , perhaps the weekend. I do hope we get to meet you. We are massive fans and it has been a goal of mine to one day come and meet ye all ❤
Thanks so much for all you are doing. We all suffer but just remember “it’s Ok ,to be not ok sometimes” x ❤
Brilliant conversation between you both Tom and Olly! Only when you've lived in the rural community, can you even begin to understand this ... I got into the same situation 50 years ago through contacting brucellosis which was and is another farming risk! 🙏👍👍
Great idea! I'm a farming groupie... and as I travel & stop at small farms I always tell them how I appreciate their work & products. It's an endless job that is under appreciated.
That chat you had with Olly was Great, just nice seeing the two of you chat like that.
that was a super video and for a really good cause
I have to say Tom, watching your videos never fails to make me smile. Thanks for just being you and sharing your life with us.
