That scene of Optimus leading the charge against the Decepticons is one of my favorite moments in Transformers. People tend to forget Optimus is soldier who must do what must be done to save the universe from the Decepticons. Does he enjoy it? No, but it's something he must do for the sake of those who can't defend themselves.

  • @jacobealy3572

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) story is mostly based on the three parted episode The Ultimate Doom which funny enough had a human villain working the Decepticons and Doctor Arkville the main human villain was voiced by Casey Kasem (RIP) the same voice as Cliff-Jumper. The only difference here is that Dylan Gould played by Patrick Dempsey wasn't turn into a cyborg and was killed thanks to Sam hitting him behind one the pillars that he was trying restart so that Cyber-Tron could converted or, transported with earth. Also, Dylan is a wealthy car collector and Carly's employer and just like Arkville was working with Decepticons with some differences. Also, Carly was a character from G1 which is why she's in the film and the reason why she's with Sam (Spike) and in the cartoon has Daniel. Also, Optimus Prime has his trailer because it was in the cartoon as well with Roller even though he doesn't appear in the film is mostly based off Jet Convoy from Armada or, later Transformers cartoons combined with other transformers with Optimus Prime having an open mouth mask removal before the first Transformers movie in 2007. So, give Michael Bay created at least he got some things right despite not being a big fan of G1 cartoon. Also, if Michael Bay wasn't born you wouldn't be talking shit about films right now and that's just disrespectful even if you don't like him instead of hating him. Basically, what I'm saying this film is the most G1 story you're going to get in these films despite now Hasbro and Paramount Pictures are now focusing on that and Beast Wars with the newer films, but in a modern day setting since both G1 & Beast Wars are almost 30-40 plus old by this point. Anyway, just somethings that some of you people may not know about or do.

I don't have a problem with him killing, I get Sentinel attempted to commit genocide, and so must go. What I don't like, is Optimus not even feeling a little bit sad about this. Well now every movie studio overuses CGI but critics and people don't realize that if they watched the behind the scenes footage for these they would be surprised by how much practical effects Michael BAY and his team used for these movies as supposed to say the star wars Disney trilogy where I know that they used practical effects but it's not impressive because they use more CGI than the prequels where people don't realize that those movies used more practical effects than digital effects when it was necessary just like the transformers movies the only thing that is constantly CGI are the robots that's it the rest is practical effects and real stunt people doing amazing things in camera

    ### The Battle of Chicago: A Perfect Example of Action Filmmaking
The climax of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," particularly the Battle of Chicago, stands out as a prime example of action filmmaking for several reasons:
    #### 1. **Visual Spectacle**
    - **Stunning CGI:** The visual effects are top-notch, seamlessly integrating massive transforming robots into a real-world urban environment.
    - **Epic Scale:** The scale of destruction and combat is immense, with buildings collapsing and robots battling in the streets and air, creating a sense of grandeur and urgency.
    #### 2. **Tension and Pacing**
    - **High Stakes:** The fate of the world hangs in the balance, raising the stakes and keeping the audience on edge.
    - **Building Tension:** The scene builds tension expertly, starting with the initial invasion and escalating to a full-blown war, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
    #### 3. **Choreography and Dynamics**
    - **Dynamic Action Sequences:** The action choreography is fluid and dynamic, with a mix of close-quarters combat, large-scale destruction, and aerial battles.
    - **Character Movements:** The unique fighting styles of different Transformers add variety and keep the action fresh.
    #### 4. **Emotional Engagement**
    - **Character Stakes:** The battle focuses not just on the spectacle but also on the characters, making the audience care about their fate.
    - **Human Element:** The involvement of human characters in the battle adds a layer of vulnerability and relatability.
    #### 5. **Sound Design and Music**
    - **Immersive Soundscape:** The sound design enhances the impact of every explosion, transformation, and clash, making the audience feel the intensity of the battle.
    - **Score:** The musical score underlines the epic nature of the conflict, adding emotional weight to the visuals.
    ### Experiencing the Events of "Dark of the Moon" in Real Life
If we were to experience the events of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" in real life, particularly the Battle of Chicago, it would be a chaotic and devastating scenario. Here’s a breakdown of how we might respond and fight back against Sentinel Prime and the Decepticons:
    #### 1. **Initial Impact**
    - **Mass Panic:** The sudden appearance of Decepticons and the destruction they cause would lead to widespread panic and chaos.
    - **Evacuation:** Authorities would attempt to evacuate civilians from the city, though this would be hindered by the scale of the invasion.
    #### 2. **Military Response**
    - **Immediate Deployment:** The military would deploy all available forces, including the National Guard, Air Force, and Navy, to counter the Decepticons.
    - **Heavy Artillery:** Tanks, jets, and drones would be used to engage the enemy, though their effectiveness against the advanced technology of the Transformers would be limited.
    #### 3. **Strategic Alliances**
    - **Collaboration with Autobots:** Human forces would need to coordinate closely with the Autobots, relying on their advanced technology and combat capabilities.
    - **Tactical Planning:** Joint strategic planning would be essential, focusing on key targets like Sentinel Prime and the control pillars.
    #### 4. **Technological Warfare**
    - **EMP Weapons:** Deploying EMP (electromagnetic pulse) weapons could disable Decepticon electronics and level the playing field.
    - **Advanced Weaponry:** Utilizing any available advanced technology, potentially reverse-engineered from previous encounters with Transformers, to increase effectiveness against the enemy.
    #### 5. **Urban Warfare Tactics**
    - **Guerilla Tactics:** Urban warfare tactics, including guerilla-style attacks and ambushes, would be necessary given the Decepticons' superior firepower.
    - **Defense Perimeters:** Establishing strong defense perimeters around critical infrastructure and command centers.
    #### 6. **Civilian Involvement**
    - **Civilian Militias:** Civilians might form militias to protect their neighborhoods and assist in evacuation efforts.
    - **Shelters and Safe Zones:** Establishing shelters and safe zones for civilians to reduce casualties.
    #### 7. **Use of Information and Communication**
    - **Real-Time Intelligence:** Utilizing real-time intelligence and communication networks to coordinate attacks and defenses.
    - **Public Information:** Keeping the public informed to prevent panic and ensure cooperation with evacuation and defense efforts.
    ### Conclusion
The Battle of Chicago in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" exemplifies perfect action filmmaking through its visual spectacle, tension, dynamic choreography, emotional engagement, and immersive sound design. In a real-world scenario, fighting back against Sentinel Prime and the Decepticons would require a coordinated and multifaceted response involving military forces, strategic alliances with the Autobots, technological warfare, urban combat tactics, and the involvement of civilians. Despite the overwhelming challenge, the resilience and ingenuity of humans, combined with the aid of the Autobots, would be crucial in the fight for survival.
This is something that I asked chat gpt about this movie and what it be like if we were experiencing the battle of Chicago in the real world and why the entire climax of transformers dark of the moon is perfect action filmmaking. So if you're interested check it out I think it's pretty interesting stuff.

    Ok buckle up because i asked chat gpt to do a scene where fans of the transformers movies fight against critics and the critical drinker and nerdrotic and also his friends. Am i kind of pretentious bu doing this? Absolutely but this is something that allows me get something out of my system so here it goes;
Sure, here’s a dialogue scene that includes the elements you requested. This scene imagines a confrontation between critics and fans of the "Transformers" movies, with the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN), The Critical Drinker, and Nerdrotic involved.
    ---
**Scene: A Comic-Con debate panel. Critics and fans of the "Transformers" movies are gathered in a large hall. On one side are the critics, including The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic, flanked by their friends. On the other side are the fans, including the Angry Video Game Nerd.**
**Critic 1:** (smirking) So, can anyone explain why you would waste time on those loud, obnoxious "Transformers" movies?
**Fan 1:** (calmly) The "Transformers" films offer incredible visual effects and action sequences. They're meant to entertain and provide an escape, which they do exceptionally well.
**Nerdrotic:** (sarcastically) Oh please, they're just mindless drivel. No plot, no character development, just explosions.
**Fan 2:** (defensively) That’s not true. The movies have a straightforward narrative that allows for epic battles and the Autobots’ struggle against the Decepticons. Sometimes, simplicity works better than convoluted plots.
**The Critical Drinker:** (laughing) Simplicity? That's your defense? Sounds like a cop-out for lazy writing.
**AVGN:** (stepping forward, visibly angry) You know what, fuck this! The movies are fun. They’re meant to be high-octane, popcorn-fueled rides. Not every film needs to be an Ari Aster snoozefest.
**Critic 2:** (rolling eyes) Oh, here we go. Defending Michael Bay's trash.
**Fan 3:** (firmly) And why do you all praise Ari Aster’s films so much? They’re pretentious and overly bleak. Not everyone enjoys slow-burn horror with ambiguous endings.
**AVGN:** (pointing at critics) Exactly! You guys think you’re so high and mighty because you like artsy fartsy shit. But let me tell you, there's nothing wrong with enjoying some goddamn explosions and robot fights. It’s called variety, you fucks!
**The Critical Drinker:** (mockingly) Yeah, variety. As if Bay’s style isn’t repetitive.
**Fan 4:** (confidently) Look, we appreciate both styles. There’s room for Michael Bay and Ari Aster in the film world. What you critics don’t get is that enjoyment is subjective. Just because something isn’t to your taste doesn’t make it bad.
**Nerdrotic:** (scoffing) You’re seriously comparing "Transformers" to real cinema?
**AVGN:** (furious) Real cinema? What the fuck does that even mean? Movies are meant to entertain, and the "Transformers" movies do that for millions of people. They're technical masterpieces in terms of CGI and action choreography. And they’ve got heart - Optimus Prime is a fucking legend!
**Fan 1:** And speaking of Optimus Prime, let’s settle this. (Nods to AVGN)
**[The fans, led by AVGN, re-enact the final battle from "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." They symbolically face off against the critics, who represent the Decepticons.]**
**AVGN:** (channeling Optimus Prime) You criticize what you don’t understand. You think you’re the arbiters of taste, but you forget that films are for everyone. Not just for a select few with a stick up their ass!
**[The fans overpower the critics with their arguments and passion, leaving the critics speechless and metaphorically defeated.]**
**[As the dust settles, Optimus Prime himself steps onto the stage, with Linkin Park's "Iridescent" playing softly in the background.]**
**Optimus Prime:** (addressing everyone) In any war, there are calms between the storms. There will be days when we lose faith, and days when our allies turn against us. But the day will never come that we forsake this planet and its people. We are here because we believe in the power of unity, in the diversity of voices and tastes. We stand together because every story, every movie, has its place. Today, we defended what we love, and we did it with honor. Roll out.
**[The fans cheer as the critics, now reflecting on the debate, begin to understand the value of different perspectives.]**
**[Fade to black with Linkin Park’s song reaching its crescendo.]**

This scene emphasizes the value of different perspectives in entertainment and the passionate defense of enjoyment in cinema, particularly for the "Transformers" series. So if you're interested in this check it out I think you will like it.

Hot take 🔥: i think pearl harbor sucked from team America is one of the worst songs of all time. And also the joke from South Park that Michael bay can't tell the difference between ideas or special effects is not funny and stupid. Michael bay absolutely can tell the difference between ideas and special effects. Ever seen a quiet place and the Texas chainsaw massacre remake Trey and Matt? Guess who produced both of those movies; MICHAEL BAY. Matt and Trey: but he is loud and in your how he could possibly produced something quiet and subtle? And even then that doesn't excuse the fact that his movies that he directed have no substance and.. me: ever watched pain and gain, the rock and the Island? No? Well that's because you don't want people to think that Michael BAY has directed movies that people love. You ignore those movies so that your part of your stupid narrative doesn't get destroyed by fans of his work.

Maybe the first Michael Bay movie. I don't like the other three Bay films, and have no interest, and I don't care that much about Rise of the Beasts. Birdman has already done both the animated film and Bumblebee.

Another thing cinemasins and nostalgia critic treat Michael bay as If he is the devil or something which is disgusting 🤢 and stupid. because Michael bay has produced and directed amazing movies. One of the movies he produced is a quiet place. Yes the master of explosions has produced something subtle and quiet. So can we please stop with the whole Michael bay is the devil schtick because it's not funny and very mean spirited

I also think that the criticism of these movies being racist is stupid.
And before you tell me about how the twins are racist which they aren't let me ask you something; how can alien robots be racist when there from space? And the twins are just being silly gangsters thats the joke is that they are trying to be gangsters but instead they are very silly and also kids thought that skids and mudflap were funny and i agree i think there very funny. And also people say drift in AOE is racist because he has a yellow face. No he isn't he loves japanese culture and it makes sense that he would take certain characteristics of the Japanese people. So that criticism is stupid and doesn't make sense. I mean if these movies were really racist how come AOE was for the time the highest grossing movie in china?

I really don't like it when people use the words edgy and cool as criticism whenever i hear someone say those words i immediately redpond with; SO FUCKING WHAT, there are a lot of people who love Edgy, dark and gritty movies, games, shows and comics you think by saying that you're smart? FUCK NO that just makes tou more of an asshole who hates things that are fun. I can call a few movies Edgy and still love them like the crow, dredd and fight club so stop using these words as sins or problems of movies instead use them as positives because that means that the intent the movie is making was achieved. Captain Vader do you like movies that are and cool? I would like to hear your thoughts.

I guess I don't care either way. The only time I can think of where I think a dark tone didn't work was Fant4stic. That movie tried to be too edgy and violent, and it just doesn't work, because the Fantastic Four are meant to be a fun family. Other than that, if a movie is gritty or edgy, then so what? That's just what the director wanted
