    Fire maple seems to be putting out decent, more budget friendly outdoor gear. Appreciate you sharing their stuff. Helps all of us see what's out there and how they actually hold up to testing. Thank you bro.

      I’ve been using their gear for well over 10 years. It holds up well. Being budget friendly is what made me buy it originally. Great gear at a great price. You’re welcome and thanks for watching

    Happy Sunday! I recently found myself a Camp Chief version of this one at the local goodwill- brand new with tags- for six bucks. It does not have the pot stand, but it has that jet power like this one.
    I like this one even better.
    No burns!….so far.
    Have a good one :)

      @AdventureswithSpackmann  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No burns indeed! Someone asked if the pot stand would fit the Camp Chief if they sold it separately, I don’t know but I told them to check their website. They did and they sell it separately. And it’s on sale lol. Maybe worth checking if you want one.
      Happy Sunday bro. Enjoy your week. Thanks for watching

    That leather sleeve on the tank probably hinders the boiling since it'll insulate the tank. As the gas expands the gas will cool, so the leather will keep it colder than otherwise

    I really like the stand on this version above the flame and at the base, I am still a fan of the old 2 burner flat camp stove for stability but if weight or size is an issue this would be perfect.

      I’ve been using their products for over 10 years. I’ve only had one issue with one stove after 100s of hours of use over years. My original heat exchange tea pot is over 10 years old and still works just fine. Little dented but that’s my fault lol. Thanks for watching

    The Jetboil Flash claims 2 minutes and 49 seconds to boil half a liter of water.
    Altitude and air temp will have the most impact on boil times. Most manufacturers times are based at sea level.

    • @AdventureswithSpackmann
      @AdventureswithSpackmann  หลายเดือนก่อน

      2 and 49secs huh. That’s fast too. We were up on a mountain lake so I’m sure that affected it. Thanks for watching

    • @gbpg2016
      @gbpg2016 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Higher elevation means the water will boil at a lower temp. That’s why you always have to cook stuff like pasta longer since the temp is lower at elevation compared to sea level. 👍🏽

    People prefer the comfortable handle on the older model.

    • @AdventureswithSpackmann
      @AdventureswithSpackmann  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can see that but to make it lighter some comfort was eliminated. I don’t think the x2 or other models are going away, this is just a pro version that’s lighter. Thanks for watching

    Personally I don't think these are worth the cost for something you can only really boil water in for a cup of coffee or backpacking meal. For much less you can get a $7 amazon burner and Stanley cup and do the same, or get the same $7 burner and the Chinese Stanley copy with stainless nesting cup for $13 (i actually have both burners and both cups). Even if you want to argue that these come with the adapter to use regular pans, the $7 burner already has the stand built in to do the same. Is it clout because it has a neoprene sleeve? Cuz you can cut the bottom of a beer coozie off and slide it onto the stainless cups and have the same 😂

    • @AdventureswithSpackmann
      @AdventureswithSpackmann  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s really for the person that want to save weight and fuel. Being able to boil in under 2 mins can be huge for fuel useable. Be able to go a week without restocking or leaving the trail. I get it though. Ain’t nothing wrong with a $7 stove with a Stanley cup! Thanks for watching
