Reminds me of the first aid kits . 200 pieces and 195 of them are individual band aids
Lmao for reals. I’m surprised they didn’t count the multi knife pieces individually lol. Thanks for watching
Eh just make your own kits most pre-made stuff is a scam like always
Like you said,"Plenty of open space". Add a folding saw. Some first aid. Water filter straw. Emergency blanket, and tent. More fire starting options. You can even add a 9mm and have a get home bag. Using your personal skills with most of these items would get the job done.
Absolutely could add a ton of stuff in there. Now that sounds like a much better kit! Thanks for watching
Not even one of those cheap mylar blankets, but 4 whistles?! Good God. Need to change their brand name to Oregon Trail cause it's a death sentence to rely on this. 😆
If they included a blanket I would have said it was worth the money. Kinda surprised they didn’t. Thanks for watching
The best thing I learned from the video (nothing to do with the video, just the kit) is that you are better off spending $10 on a case of the waxy fire gizmos and adding them to every self assembled kit you have.
That’s a great idea! Pick your own bag up on Amazon for $8 and fill it yourself. Thanks for watching
Definitely. A little bit of effort and you can make something far superior. Here is where the problem is. Lazy people think they can just buy themselves something to stash away. But should they ever need it, it will be too late for buyers remorse.😂
@@ReadyOrNot556 for sure and that’s why I say it’s funny. Cause someone will buy it and not look at it and if it’s needed, it’s too late. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann thank you for making the video. Most might not know if they weren’t informed by someone like yourself. 👍
@@ReadyOrNot556 No its mainstream shops doing cheap goods for profit.Consumer should be able to trust shops
Take that kit and toss in 2-5 survival blankets, crank flashlight, 2 extra pair of socks (a pair of Seal Skin water proof socks optional) Bic Lighter still in wrapper, mole skin, some basic first aid things, few cans of sardines, road flare, actual para cord 50ft, light sticks (but remember they expire), solar powered cell phone charger (optional), 2 life straws.
Great additions. What are light stocks? Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann DOH! Corrected.
@@RemoteCamper lol ohhh glow sticks duh on my end too.
I would have had to have this when i was 8.
Yeah I would have loved then too. Would have built a fort with it lol. Thanks for watching
I think it needs another whistle to provide you with warmth and shelter........
Warmth AND shelter, than it needs two more lol. Thanks for watching
I recognize half of the stuff in this kit from a SURVIVE HERO kit from Amazon that I received as a gift, particularly the assisted open knife and the flashlight.. I think it's just cheap mass produced aliexpress stuff lol
I have seen this knife in Amazon kits too. Yup, AliExpress/Alibaba lol. Thanks for watching
This feels like a grab bag of stuff in case you or your buddy whiffed on a "nice-to-have" item. Kind of neat the shovel/pick fit in the bag.
Yeah the folding shovels are neat for sure! I have one that takes different attachments like a pick, an axe, a saw, and the shovel. Thanks for watching
Way better than my expectations.
Really!!! Thanks for watching
Nice vid! I haven't gone camping but I see survival kits like this often at Walmart and other places. It's good to know what supplies are actually essential especially for people who don't have experience backpacking.
For sure! Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
woke my dog up with you blowin on the whistles 😂
Lmao my bad. Thanks for watching
My cat kept looking to see where the sound was coming from
It's just funny.all those whistles is hilarious 😂
lol hilarious indeed! Thanks for watching
No survival blanket?? It's just funny. Thanks always enjoy watching!
I was thinking the same thing. Couldn’t even throw in the $1 plastic blanket!!! Glad you enjoy bro! Thanks for watching
My first thought too. And that's not a bug net. That's your oversized reusable coffee filter! Just needs a whistle attached.
The survival blanket is in the other kit they released at about the same time. The two kits have some identical items and some different ones.
@rebeccaclementz3756 yeah the cheaper one I think is better
I showed the mosquitos at the woods that turns into a swamp for a good part of the season that mosquito net, they laughed and bit me on the nose while drinking the bugspray from the can. Jokes aside not a bad survival kit. Though I'll never understand the obsession with bottle openers, I usually need a can opener.
Ohhh you got the evolving skeeters! Thanks for watching
5:00 - 5:02 ; that crazy fast bird that passed a few feet behind you had me tripping for a second. cool little kit - I mean its Walmart so perpetually in the "not bad" range for gear. well, if you buy 3 kits you'll get six pocket knives, 3 sporks with knife, 3 collapsible shovels, and 3 bug head nets; cool!
I didn’t notice the bird lol. If you buy 3 you will get 12 whistles too. Thanks for watching
Excellent review and critique much like dollar tree items, cheaply made but some better than average quality 😊in a few items
For sure! Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann thank you keep up the good work
Happy Monday! Lots of whistles! I guess it’s a traffic cop/referee survival kit!
No burns? Dang it! Cheers.
Happy Tuesday bro. Lol I was kinda surprised I didn’t get burned when I was whacking the fire starter off the table lol.
I’m thinking for a referee, there should be atleast one bandaid lol. Thanks for watching
Credit card tool came in handy on having to disassemble a patio propane heater in the parking lot of Home Depot once.
I guess they do lol. Thanks for watching
on the shovel the " bottle opener" is a tent stake remover for really stuck ones in hard dirt
Ohhh great use for it! Thanks for watching
Good buddy of mine bought me one as a joke. He knows I build my own kits. Decidedly it's $30 "worth" of kit. But the quality is lacking on all sides.
Solution: great kit to buy as a training tool. Not something I would want to rely on.
For the record it is a great packing list as in my opinion it carries the bare minimum by item. Obviously, fill in where it is lacking.
Yeah there’s a few good things. And the bag. Thanks for watching
it might not be great but when it comes down to it . its better then nothing
That’s true. Thanks for watching
I would recommend adding:
5‘ x 7‘ tarp / pancho
Aluminum canteen / pot
folding saw
some type of water filtration
a few large first aid bandages
a couple of fishing hooks and line
None of that stuff is expensive.
Great additions! Thanks for watching
Of course it's just funny - these janky low-budget survival kits usually are! - but I still enjoy doing a little "let's pretend" for a few minutes with them.
This kit is a little surprising for what it DOESN'T include, rather than what it does include:
- There's not even a token pack of band-aids? That's weird!
- No ubiquitous space-blanket? That's also weird!
To my eye, the highlights of this kit appear to be these, which together might be just about worth the price of admission:
- The folding knife and Chinese Army Knife... sure, they're going to be flimsy, but might pass as back-ups or loaners.
- The folding shovel is kinda neat, I don't have one of those, I might buy one of these kits just for that.
- The mosquito net - I don't have one of those either, it kinda makes me smile.
- The fire-starting tinder and ferro-rod... again, maybe a bit flimsy, but seem to be serviceable!
- The flashlight - yeah, flimsy again, but enough to read a map by and maybe signal with by night, I bet.
- The paracord and line - both are handy to have around for a zillion little light-duty uses.
- At least one of the metal whistles (I'm sure the extra was a mistake, more than one or two in a kit is just silly though!)
- The glow-sticks.
- The bag this stuff comes in... flimsy again, but I've seen worse.
The worthless - remove these to free up weight and space:
- Give the survival bracelet to your kids, it's barely better than a toy!
- Give the mil-spec tactical survival safety scissors to your kids for school, but be sure to tell them not to run with them!
- The card-multitools are always hilarious!
- The tactical survival spork... just writing that phrase cracks me up!
- The wire saw - I'm pretty sure these things never actually holdup to use in the real world!
- The bottle-holder and carabiner, bot look flimsy and just seem to take up space and weight....
Stuff you might add to make this a bit less funny:
- At least a minimal pocket first-aid kit.
- A travel sewing kit and a little compact roll of duct tape... torn/broken gear or clothing can be Serious Business!
- A couple batteries for that light.
- A space-blanket and poncho - they're kinda silly, but cheap and barely add any weight or bulk, with all the air in the default kit.
- Maybe a pocket tent, if you can spare the room for it in the kit?
- A folding saw to replace the wire saw. (The saw on the shovel is comical.)
- A couple packets of survival water, maybe a filter straw or even purification tablets.
- A granola bar and/or packet of coffee candy (more as a morale booster than survival food!)
- Single-serve packets of bug repellent, sun-screen, and over-the-counter medicine for pain relief, "intestinal distress", antihistamine, or the like are nice to have in a little kit like this alongside the band-aids.
- A more serious compass and maybe a local map.
Seriously, I'm no expert, but I think that if you need a kit like this long enough that food, hunting, or fishing becomes an issue, then you're in more trouble than a cheap mini survival kit could possibly solve, but you probably should at least cover basics like fire, water, light, knife, light-duty shelter, and first aid and emergency repair "boo-boo" kits (to keep yourself and whatever gear you have in some minimal functional condition long enough to get out of trouble!)
Everytime you wrote “tactical survival” had me cracking up. Putting infront of spork was the best. I agree with just about all of this. But the bracelet. That has 4 items in one. Whistle(loud AF), cordage, compass and fire. I wouldn’t wear it but strap it somewhere or a great kids toy(I’ll agree with that)
For real, if there was 1 bandaid and a space blanket it would have been worth it in my book. Thanks for watching
The bug net could be used as a net for catching small bait fish if you build out the kit with actual stuff you need. Or a live well bag or used as a fish trap
It sure can! Great idea. Thanks for watching
Wow frenck press never see one that small love it easy for packing awesome ❤💯
It’s wicked cool right! Thanks for watching
I usually don't expect actual GOOD quality from Ozarks trail. Although I will admit that once in a blue moon you can find something somewhat useful made by them. But its not what I buy when I think I will need anything but occasional light use.
I have some wicked good OT gear. Great tables, tents and lights. I have some crap OT gear too lol. Thanks for watching
Yeah just build your own like Les Stroud reccomends. You may be able to incorporate some of these items into one you custom build but I would definitely buy individual high-quality items and build my own.
Totally agree! Thanks for watching
Bought the cheep tsa friendly med kid added a lot of stuff to it. Like a cheep tourniquet, scalpels, and quick clot, with more IB Prophen
Great ideas. Thanks for watching
Got to love those kits that'll have six of something in each individual thing counts as an item You gave me six cotton swabs so six pieces of the entire kit😢😢
It’s the best right! lol thanks for watching
What do you use for a cooking stove out in the woods. I am trying to find a good compact system to take out camping that is not too expensive.
My favorite cook stuff is from FireMaple. I have a discount code in the description of this video for your use. I’ve been using their gear for over 10years and it’s all still going strong. Thanks for watching
They should've at least included a BPA free water bottle. Love the bug net though.
A water container would be nice but I would like to see a shelter. Simple emergency blanket would do. Thanks for watching
Seems like a pretty decent piece of kit if for nothing else than to leave in the car, just in case. I guess it would be better at 20-25 bucks and if it lost the whistles and the dumb credit card thing. But the knife, fire starters, shovel, bug net and the pouch seem decent enough.
Yeah it’s a good starting point I’d say. Dumb card things indeed lol. Thanks for watching bro
@@AdventureswithSpackmann leaving those wax covered jute-like fire starters/tinder in your car will create a mess of melted wax. Not a lot of people think about that.
@@pierowmania2775 great point! Thanks for watching
I am not a survival guy, but I don’t think it is that bad. You pretty much got your essentials.
I feel like all they give you is a fire starter and whistle. Sure you could survive with that but I think for $30 you should get more. Thanks for watching
It would be a suitable kit for the car ,it may keep you alive in emergency ,w/ a wool blanket & some emergency food packs you could make it through the night
Definitely needs to be added to. You can make it worth the money. Thanks for watching
I'm gonna just go ahead and say it.... I like the intro talking about funny and money. Lololololol cheers!
So glad you like it! Thanks for watching cheers
I would keep one in my car. it might be small enough to fit inside the wheel well of my spare tire. It may not a "good 'survival kit, but imagine breaking down on a back road in the winter, or having a way to help someone get from "where they are", to safety. If you want a top class unit, buy a kit for a 5 to 10 person commercial shop, and BTW, take a first aid course or two.
I’m not sure this kit would help if you break down in the winter. A bic lighter in your pocket would be better. If it included a blanket then I’d say yes. Thanks for watching
Two Top Flight whistles. One for you and one for Craig!
Who’s Craig? Thanks for watching
The red paracord looks like “Fire Cord” …..open it up and expose the red string inside and light
I’ll check it out and respond back soon. Thanks for watching
Its not.
I love it man you’re funny guy keep it up good videos
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching
Just add anything else you might think you need. It's basically a starter kit. Not bad.
You definitely could add your own stuff. Thanks for watching
I suppose you could survive.... if your only going as far as your backyard lol. Good video as always.
Lmao I’ve almost died in my backyard a few times. I guess if you can make a big enough fire you can survive anywhere right? Thanks for watching
I agree, that is just funny.
Hilarious bro lol. Thanks for watching
love these vids keep grinding bro and u already know liked and been subscribed cheers fam
Cheers bro! So glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching
Wouldn't call it funny, it's just sad😢.
Sad is a good adjective to describe it lol. Thanks for watching
It's better than nothing. What sad is your life
@jayoutdoors1534 his life isn’t sad. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann tragically some people have no sense of humor . Gotta ask, which of us is he trying to insult?
It was sad... when it started in 2020... but enough feeling sorry for ourselves... we chose not to lockdown proper so .... game on.
Yeah I could see me getting hurt with that spork…….. oh another whistle! Those squirrels are getting frisky this time a year
Whistles for days! Yeah don’t spork your eye out lol. Thanks for watching
The second metal whistle is a typo. Thanks for testing the fire starter. You're the first reviewer I've seen test it.
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching
Its so funny how I was in walmart, in the camping isle looking at this and my phone goes off and I look at everything and there you are on the floor so I was like I guess im going to wait to buy it. Glad I didnt apprently the chinese think we drink so much we need 21 beer openers haha. Great video man keep it up!
21 beer openers and 4 whistles! So we can be found when drunk lol. Thanks for watching

In all fairness that pack, at least the condor version is about $20
Yeah that’s true. Thanks for watching
That was a useful fun review. I am most pleased to know that the bug net is coffee compatible. Strong work sir!
Glad you enjoyed it. It’s also beer compatible….fyi lol. Thanks for watching
I actually held one today. I have to be honest, embroider "mystery ranch" on the bag, and it would be worth the 30 bucks. Even has PALLS.
PALLS? The bag is nice. Thanks for watching
@AdventureswithSpackmann sorry, extra L. Pouch Attach Ladder System. It's like what every wannabe Rambo has all over their backpack.
@ronjones1414 ahhh gotcha. Thanks
The one thing to keep in mind is that the people that would buy this (other than testing) are people with limited outdoor skills. Those of us with real bushcrafting skill may look at this kit and laugh, but those without will look at it with awe and be happy with it. To me, it's a decent buy to get kids started with it. Then teach them what to do better in the kit. Like tossing that credit card thing and drop a Leatherman in. Or simply to make sure to have batteries in your pocket, lol.
No pre-packed kit will be perfect. Don't care who makes it, or how much it costs. There will be items in it that are redundant, unneeded, or just WTF is this in here. The difference is that bigger, more expensive kits, will have more stuff. That's it. If you really want a decent kit, you need to build it up yourself.
Agree it’s nice for a kid. My kids will have fun “playing” with it. But I think it’s still funny cause you know the people who buy it are gunna throw it somewhere and if they ever need it, it won’t help as much as they need. Thanks for watching
You could get a much better kit put together for around $100 or less. (depending on the kind of camping trip you are doing)
You sure could! Thanks for watching
This is my side kit to my main kit or bushcraft kit, Also where is the mag fire starter in it? mine did not come with it,
So you are saying they make even more mistakes than adding two identical whistles? Leaving out the fire steel is not good. Thanks for watching
@AdventureswithSpackmann mine had no magnesium in it, the fire steel is not magnesium, unless they subbed for the fire tender rope or said as my mom would say ,"screw that noise" to the magnesium
@@jyksedcandknives9666 oh ok yeah mine didn’t come with magnesium either
@@AdventureswithSpackmann They must have only meant to only put the tinder rope only
Did they include each ziplock bag as an 'item'?
No but I thought it was funny to say one of them was an item. Thanks for watching
30 bucks of cheap redundancy. The bracelet alone had a 3rd of what was in the kit😂
Fr though if someone made a higher quality version of the bracelet, I might buy it.
lol for real! You’re right just the bracelet had most of it. Thanks for watching
A decent gift for a kids gift. By kid, I mean scout of tweener. Could keep it in the car. Crap. Trying to think of some use for it.
Definitely needs to be added to but for $30 I think it’s a good starting point and for kids, heck yeah! Thanks for watching
Ahaha wow, cool coffee thing though
Right! Thanks for watching
I guess it would be better than nothing but not ideal.
That’s true. Thanks for watching

I have not! Now I want to. Thank you!
"Hello China... Yeah, I'm gonna need my money back". 🤣🤣
Seriously... great overview of that kit bro. I definitely have to side with you on the "It's just funny" aspect of this one man. Unless your primary survival skills involve opening bottles and blowing whistles that is 😉 haha. Thanks for the honest look and opinion as always my brother.
lol don’t be knocking my survival skills bro! Opening beers is important lmao. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann Never bro... never lol. Besides, opening beers is one of the most underrated survival skills that there is IMHO 🍺 Cheers buddy! 🍺
@@IntenseAngler lol
That flashlight is made for a rechargeable battery little larger than AA battery
Hmmm like a 1080(whatever) ?
With all the whistles and bottle openers, its more than funny. It's downright drole. The knives, head net, ferro rod and crappy shovel would probably cost that much if bought seperately. The kit seems like a raffle prize at a Scout event. Nice thought behind it but a disappointment in the end. Thanks for the video. Ordered a Firehike hot tent today after rewatching your review.
I agree it lacks so much that’s it’s more a starting point for a kid than anything. The small FireHiking tent? How much is it now if you mind me asking? Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann The 1-2 person one. With the double liner it is $170 Cdn. You can deduct $30 if you don't want the liner. I was leaning that way but I rewatched your video and you mentioned Remi dog. I always have a dog or 2 around so the light bulb went on and I bought with the liner. I'll see how my stove fits before going full titanium or not, Those roll up chimneys seem like a pain.
Half of the "can openers" are really bottle openers. Screw driver/can opener blade on knife is screw driver/bottle opener.
lol yeah. Thanks for watching
Talk about a cheap kit. You can make a bigger and better one with temu. Great video though! Always need reviews like these!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
It's a cheap kit but it's a start and can be added to for your own personal use for those who are on a tight budget. Not everyone can afford to pay for and build a good survival kit for long term use
This is true but I think there are much better starting points for just about the same amount of money. I’ll be showing some soon. Thanks for watching.
Saw the title and thought it was a kit to survive shopping at Walmart 😂. Would have bought a bunch of them. Of course if they were sold only at Walmart, I would have sent the wife for the first one😅.
lol target sells those, oh and Amazon lol. Thanks for watching
Why do chinese survival kits always have bottle openers? Because they learned about surviving the apocalypse from Fallout.
Cause when the world goes to sh!t we need to drink! Lol. Thanks for watching
They’re probably thinking ahead of the currency go down in the apocalypse.
@NisuKitsune1224 lol good point.
Yea, nah. That one is just a gimmick, but at $30 you've got a nice survival bracket, a few decent fire starters, a niceish knife and a decent looking pack to build up your own kit in. I love the way you describe those mini shovels though 😂😂😂
lol the shovel description is the first thing that popped in my head the first time. Yeah the bag is a good starting point. Thanks for watching bro
@@AdventureswithSpackmann yea, they basically are cause they aren't really good for anything they claim to be, couldn't ever dig a trench, break after the 1st or 5th dig most of them... Lol
that's i was thinking it's a good starting point for building a kit but no way in unholy hell would i depend on just what;s in it!!!

Yeah definitely something to add to. Thanks for watching

Oh really??? So it was a typo. Thanks for watching
The rulers are for map scale..
Ohhhh good to know. Thanks for watching
2 whistles and a kazoo
We’re getting the band back together! Thanks for watching
So the point of prepping camping survival is to know what to prep how to prep and the more important thing after knowledge is items and preparing them to be a vital tool.. i would buy this and add on to it just like any other of my kits... I buy little kits and then add in quick clot my own nice pair of scissors etc... you are given a grounding when buying ANY kit.. its up to you to customize it to be your own.. unless you got an emt bag you aint ever gonna be fully prepared for what could come.. and you cant tell me your rucking a whole bag of clothes for all seasons and enviroment on top of an emt bag food bag... Its a lot of shit because we outlive our supplies and unless your rich you aint got all of the money for this stuff and if you are rich youd buy yourself out to save you and your family... Im gonna keep saying it and we need to do something as citizens and thats staying united.. but instead all i see are people like this one spec ops dude that said he will kill everyone and anyone for any resources because my family id more important... The government did a damn good job of keeping us divided and we need to put a stop to it
Great point on adding to any kit. And if you’re rich then you can anything you want but my point is, you can spend $30 on better stuff than this kit. If you do buy it yes add to it but my suggestion is to buy something else. Thanks for watching. United we stand!
Yeah I like that French press lol Jesus Christ ya should have done a video on that
