When you buy a car, a used car with service history you are buying peace of mind that the car has been looked after. Obviously, you also get the sellers that say this anyway even if they are stretching the truth, or just don’t know.
We had been meaning to change the fuel filter out for a couple weeks so finally got around to sorting it only to find the date printed on it originates from the 90s!
So this video might not be strictly how to change the fuel filter on a early model e30 where the fuel pump sits in the bay but we also swapped out the leaking rocker gasket which is no doubt original to the car too!
What you will need:
Fuel Filter: Eurocarparts part number - 503440037
Gasket: Eurocarparts part number - 368110131
10mm Socket & Ratchet
Flat Head Screwdriver
Cleaner to remove old gasket & clean mounting surfaces
(Optional) - Fuel Line Jubilee Clips: amzn.to/2QspyEA
Torque Specs:
10nm for Valve Cover (This was only spec I could find, if I'm wrong do let me know but it doesn't take much to tighten this!)
