If the hair is synthetic the best way to condition it is with the conditioner in the color kit with fabric softener. Let it soak in a bowl or sink for about 2 hours and it really make the hair nice a soft. Also the reason you had to color it two times is because you did not let the color stay on long enough. You cannot go by the times on the box, that time is for real hair. Synthetic hair takes longer to color than real hair. I used the same brand and I let the color stay on for almost two hours.

Melody it contains a “lighter”, I’m pretty sure it is bleach
