I heard from Myriam at Myriam's Nature that if you paint the tops of the lids of the inks with a drop of white paint, and then put the color of ink on top of the white, you can always get the right cap on the right bottle. Thank you for the video . . . make some more!
Love what you have done with the ceramic tile. I have painted on ceramic tiles using alcohol inks. Love the beauty, and with brush, and Q tip, no dryer was necessary! This is beautiful 😍 Thank you for sharing.
Wish you had talked while you were painting! What is the bottle of fluid to the right that you used on the background? What was in the small pot that you used to remove the ink and make the trees?
I thought (from playing with the alcohol inks) that they were WAAAAY too uncontrollable so this vid has been a revelation. In another vid could you show how you did the leaves?
Hi Andrea, i you look at my channel there are a few more recent videos and the one with Autumn trees shows the leaves pretty well th-cam.com/video/dviqWU_DXJU/w-d-xo.html
I'm kinda a noob too. havent played a lot with my alcohol ink..but I use yupo and I have pulled all the color off I believe what she did...Used straight 90 %+alcohol ..no ink. and almost anti-painted...painted them with the alcohol..wiping all the ink off the brush or even a qtip would probably work for removing the ink in the tree shape. I hope you managed to figure it out...have fun
What do you recommend for sealing alcohol ink work just for protecting and to prevent fading? I have seen some mention of varnishes, but I am guessing some are better for alochol inks than others?
Hi ! Spraying with a fixative that won't disturb the inks is so important- I use Kamar Varnish Aerosol Spray and let dry for 24 hours and then a Gallery Series UV Archival Varnish spray - both are on Amazon
Welcome to video land! I can see you're right handed, you might wish to set your camera up on the left. I couldn't really tell what you did at all to the birch tree details. At the end of the video, you may wish to hold your piece a bit closer so the details can be viewed. Out side of the helpful hints, your ending piece of art looked great! Best wishes with your future videos, I look forward to them! 😁 👍 ❤️
looks like fun! how long did you wait for the bkgd to dry before you added the details? I've never used alcohol inks before. Your tile turned out so pretty.
Sorry for all the comments lol! Seriously you need to do at least one video a week! That tile you did is gorgeous! Are you on the Alcohol Ink Art Community Facebook group?? You could create 10 or so videos off the bat and release one per week. During those weeks you can take your time and shoot more!
yes i like it when the videos are not sped up because even tho they might be a little longer than some people like, its better to see how you actually do it in real time. I don't watch videos that are sped up. If its too long for you don't watch it. Move to a sped up one. there are thousands of same techniques.
It is a beautiful tile but the video was too fast. You explained how you did the foreground and sky, and colours and did not explain how you drew the trees and video too fast to follow. Disappointing.

Loved your workshop at Bonita Arts…you’ve inspired me to keep on trying…thank you so much, Connie

Thank you Liz
This was so fun to find! Just showed up on my feed! Hope you are well! 🤗
Thank you! You too!

love your work! looking forward to see more
I'm such a newbie that I don't know how you put the trees in. I've got to find a more "beginner's" demonstration. Thanks for posting.

@@JulieTibus Thanks! How long do you wait before applying the varnish?
@@lindar7284 I would wait a minimum of 4-5 hours- but I usually wait until the next day : )
Lovely tile. I do wish I could attend one of your courses but it’s a little too far from where I live…
Thank you. I teach in Michigan and Florida- where are you located?
@@JulieTibus Northern Italy!!! 🤣🥰
@@Richiedei50 Oh I would love to do a class there!!! Maybe someday 😀
@@JulieTibus Wishful thinking 🤣🥰
would love to know if that was a glazed ceramic tile
Hi Judy- Yes a Large glossy ceramic tile
Love it. The birch trees. Can we do on Yupo.. but it dries quickly. .. 💕
WOW!! I love it.
Hey could you please do some more landscape videos please? I am getting into doing that now! Thanks!
Amazing!!!!
Thanks!!
Is the medium to clear the inks away, is that blending solution? 🤗
It could also be the isopropyl alcohol
Thank You 🙏
excellent video.

Thanks Ann, Yes new to this and hoping to get better, very open to any suggestions. my best, Julie
Awesome 😎
wondering if anyone tried this on yupo?I've pulled ink from it before

Because it is alcohol based the back ground dries within minutes!

Beautiful:)
organized chaos. that's what I call my space. it's like a Chinese puzzle box of Cluster..but I know where EVERYTHING is
Really pretty. Too bad you don’t explain how you achieved the greenery.

The title of the video tutorial is "Alcohol Biirch Trees", not alcohol tree leaves.
If you are referring to leaves, she uses a brush and I believe the same green as in the background.
.

Hi Bonnie- This was my very first video and I have learned a lot since. Maybe you'd like a more recent one.
She did explain in the beginning, alcohol and a qtip for the tree branches, then inks for the leaves. 🤷♀️
@@JulieTibus
Sorry I missed this. As I love the birch bark tile any more recent ones you'd have I'd view happily!. Thanks.
Fyi...it's pronounced Koh-peck 😉.
