I am confused. The music and this video are like from different worlds. My first impression when the video opened was "Is this a parody of the singers who rely on 'extra-musical' values as opposed to actual music and singer performance?!" If that were the case, it is a poignant success. Otherwise, at this point I am glad the music can still be enjoyed without this video. As an artist, you of course have the undisputed freedom to portray your art in any way you consider most suitable to deliver the message you want to deliver. So I am not disparaging you for that choice. It is just that something from your personality is missing now, in my personal view. I absolutely loved - and still love! - the music and visuals of "Arcadia". This video is quite different style that I find discordant with your music. PS. Has anyone mentioned that you look hauntingly like the former Prime Minister of Finland, Miss Sanna Marin? Both equally beatiful ladies. :)
Hey, thank you for this comment, and for putting everything you feel about it so respectfully! I'm really glad to hear you like the song, even if the video isn't for you. I would just like to say one thing though in response which is that rather than there being anything missing from my personality in this video, in my view what I've actually done is I've just revealed another side to my personality that I haven't shown in my videos before. I knew it would take some of my fans, especially those who've been following my career for a long time now a bit by surprise, and probably some of them wouldn't like it, but I always make my music and my visuals with integrity and stay completely true to myself, so this video is just another example of this. We all grow and develop as human beings over the years, so my stance as a songwriter and artist is that it would be unnatural not to allow my music and my visuals to do the same. I'm significantly older and more mature now that when I made my debut album, Arcadia, so it follows that the art I'm making now has also evolved to a degree. I don't want to be an artist who just churns out album after album that all sound and look the same and don't show any artistic development as that wouldn't be a true reflection of myself as a human being, and I see my job as a songwriter and artist as being one where my whole raison d'être is to put my real life experiences into my art. Anyway, thank you for the compliment about my likeness to Miss Sanna Marin by the way, and no, nobody has ever said that to me before! As with all my albums, there's huge variety on this new album as well, so yes, there are a few other pop and rock (ish) style songs on there, but also there are songs like Carry Me and City Of The Dead and others that are unlike anything I've released before, so I'll be curious to see what you make of them all when they're released... It's like Arcadia's big grown up sister; similar sound overall but more mature, and lots of variety in the songs as is always the case with my albums, so there are songs like City Of The Dead and Carry Me on it as well as some more pop / rock orientated songs and some fantasy songs and one quite classical song, so a real mixture!!
After having to hear the song completely, it is wonderful indeed. Always you have an enchanting voice and cute dance. It's sad it cuts right at the end like that. My only bad opinion is and forgive me please 🙏 is that body suit, to me, it just doesn't match everything else going on, but still looks great, and the song was a masterpiece 🎉🎉❤. Can't wait to hear what you have planned for Halloween 🧡

Don't worry, the Eurielle of old is still here (if you prefer my older material - I'm guessing you do?)! You'll see and hear this in most of the rest of the songs on my new album as and when I release them. But I've matured as an artist and songwriter over the years, as well as on a personal level, hence showing some new things in my work now that people haven't seen before... I believe the job of an artist is to take one's personal life experiences and feelings and to express them through their art in the most honest way possible, and so that is what I'm doing. It would therefore be unnatural for me as an artist and songwriter to keep myself fixed (from a creative perspective) in the space I was in 10 years ago when I was making my debut album in order to continue only making songs and videos that look and sound like that album. It's also always been the case that there's massive stylistic variety on all my albums, so while this song and video may be quite different from anything I've made before, I'm sure you'll find that the majority of the rest of the songs and videos on my new album feel more familiar to you. I might've matured, yes, but I'm still the same person and artist at the centre of my creative soul as I always was 😊...

Sorry the video didn't resonate with you as much though, but I spent a lot of money on it and put a lot of effort into making it which I feel deserves some credit when I could've just done what you said and made a simple lyric video with some animations instead. Doing this would have been far cheaper and easier, and it's what most other artists do, especially independent artists like myself, but I always try to go the extra mile to make great art wherever possible for my fans. Regarding the ending of the video, I can only assume you're referring to the last few seconds where it goes fast at the beginning of the final shot and then suddenly slows down? If so, this was a deliberate effect the editor put on that shot there at my request in order to visually replicate what happens in the music right at the end of the song, so it was not an accident!

I'm sorry you feel this way but just to be clear, I didn't choose this outfit or make this video in order to try to be commercial or "successful". I've always been an artist who doesn't follow fashions or trends or conform to the usual pigeonholes of the music industry, and I certainly never feel any pressure to do so as doing the opposite and being true to myself has always served me well so far. So this song and video are simply an honest reflection of a facet of my character, the emphasis being on facet; it does not reflect the entirety of who I am. I'm sure you're aware that I'm a grown up woman, and I'm not a nun... so of course there's this side to me as well. If seeing it somehow spoils the impression of me that you used to have in your mind then I'm sad you feel that way, but I stand by my work because it was made with absolute integrity. I'd like you to know though that as is always the case with my albums, there's massive variety on my new album, so please don't assume that every video will be like this one because this is in fact the only video like this on this album. I think you'll find all the other videos I've made for this new album more to your previous expectations of my work...

@@EurielleMusic I feel very bad not having something nice to say, I was thinking about not saying anything (nothing is better that something that's not good?) but I've followed your music for years and I think you deserve an honest opinion from fans that had, understandibly, different expectations (not that you had to followed them, but we all like what we like, right?). I can see you wanted to do something different in here, the attempt is super clear. I am not a fan of the execution. I tried to process the whole thing in layers (the visuals, the instrumentals, and the voice) and the only thing I could almost, somehow, connect, was the music. Though in MY OPINION it's a far cray from amazing songs like City of the Dead. The video, and your choice of outfil and dance moves... I'm sorry, they are a no for me. If they were a yes for you, amazing. Then your voice was almost lost, too soft, too childish, and the lyrics lacked power. I will continue watching what you do, and I hope that as an artist there's place in your heart for self evaluation, and also for understanding and grace with fans that just don't like some of the things you do. I still believe, of course, you are amazing, I just feel this effort was a complicated, sometimes chaotic, unnatural mix of things, and not really what I would play for a repeat. Though in MY OPINION it's a far cray from amazing songs like City of the Dead.
The video, and your choice of outfil and dance moves... I'm sorry, they are a no for me. If they were a yes for you, amazing.
Then your voice was almost lost, too soft, too childish, and the lyrics lacked power.
I will continue watching what you do, and I hope that as an artist there's place in your heart for self evaluation, and also for understanding and grace with fans that just don't like some of the things you do. I still believe, of course, you are amazing, I just feel this effort was a complicated, sometimes chaotic, unnatural mix of things, and not really what I would play for a repeat.

I'm really glad you like the song, thank you! And no worries regarding the video; as I said to someone else, I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. If you prefer the style of some of my older work though then I'm pretty sure you'll like a lot of what I'll be releasing over the next few months, so I hope you'll come back for that. The next release will be on Halloween. It's a gothic style song a bit like City Of The Dead 😉...
