I have been battling stage III colorectal cancer since 01-29-2024. I just had a major colostomy surgery two weeks ago (abdominoperineal resection). I have been shoving my emotions down and away all year, until I saw and heard this young woman sing and perform - it felt as though all darkness disappeared and such incredible hope reappeared for me which made every emotion swell up within out and out of my eyes. Said all of this to say to everyone - no matter what you are facing - thanks to Sydnie Christmas, her voice, her charisma, her character and her gift - The sun will come out tomorrow so stick out that chin and grin.
Thank you for writing exactly what I was thinking, and the "adult version" of the song, minus the curly-headed girl and obediently cute dog (which were fine for the musical) is a completely different experience. Sydnie made it so. When they enhanced the Golden Buzzer with "Over the Rainbow" I connected Sydnie to Judy Garland at 17 in _The Wizard of Oz_ Her performance allowed the viewer to think of the song as portraying a kid yearning to fulfill her dreams but also (and this became clear as Garland continued to sing the song to the end of her life) to hear the unsure questioning by an adult of whether reaching the end of the rainbow is actually possible. Similarly, Sydnie takes a rather simple and shallow anthem to sticktoitiveness on a child's level and turns it into thoughtful reflection on the trials that an adult facing some new challenge has already survived. There was also never a dull moment because of the control Simon mentioned. I never knew what to expect from her voice next but there was never anything static or mushy. Bravissima! So happy for her, her family and the audience.

I agree. She started off sotto voce (literally in Italian 'under the voice', but generally regarded as a quiet voice) and went through the gears and then back again at the end to sotto voce. I really like that song, one that I have known for around 40 years since I first watched the musical 'Annie' when I was a child. I have never heard a version like it. My wife and family have had the worst year of our collective lives. My wife of 56 years has been battling cancer. Just when we thought she could ring the bell, they found they didn’t get it all. More surgery, chemo etc. when I heard this I was so move I actually sobbed. Not just because of how beautifully she sang it but the meaningful way she stressed the lyrics. God bless you Sidney for lifting us up when every day seems to be filled with more disappointments. This will help us think about “Tomorrow”. Just beautiful !!! Now I can face tomorrow.
Hey Tim. I have watched this video twice now within 20 minutes after circling through all her BGT performances. Absolutely beautiful, and I am definitely experiencing your same reaction to this video. My Dad was recently diagnosed was cancer, and I can say that I was moved by her performance in a relatable way. This song is a sign of hope, and I wish your wife, your family, and you the best of luck through this battle. Stay strong. You all got this! Also, I would recommend watching her final performance of “Somewhere over the Rainbow,” if you haven’t yet. Her cover of “Tomorrow,” is also on streaming platforms.
I Love this Lady. I was smiling and crying at the same time. When life get tuff we hope tomorrow will bring peace, Love, and Happiness. Great performance ❤
Thank you, Sydnie. I'm going through a lot right now. I was assaulted and thrown off a 15ft balcony. I have 2 fractures in my foot and a L1 wedge compression fracture in my back. You have lifted my spirits and touched me to keep moving forward, that the sun will come out tomorrow. God bless you and thanks again! 🤗
Hang in there, and best wishes for your recovery. I have an inkling of what you are going through. I had bilateral femur fractures, fractures of the left tibia and fibula, and a pulmonary embolism.
I’m so sorry for what you’ve been thru. I hope that the idiot(s) who assaulted you are in prison. Sending you a virtual hug and wishing you a speedy recovery.❤️
And she couldn't believe the genuine reaction from the audience or what the judges were saying. I hope we see her a lot more after BGT ... on television, film, stage ... I also hope she has a successful recording career.
I totally agree... her amazing personality cannot be hidden it flows out freely for all to see ...she is genuinely a precious gem that needs to shine...I don't normally like show tunes but her rendition felt more like a world wide #1 hit!! The thing that gets me about this performance is that she makes all the right choices at every point. She gets the right tone, mood, rise, fall. It's not just technically perfect, it's a brilliant interpretation.
Most accurate comment here. She sang the greatest version of this song imo possible. There's not one thing, even subtle, that would make this song better imo.
Run and cling on to Jesus that's the only way to get rid of it. I was in the same boat, tried to end my life twice and the Lord saved and delivered me. Haven't struggled with it since. Depression is a demonic spirit that only the Lord can rid you off. Seek the Lord's face. I'm praying for you ❤

The kaleidoscope of emotions in her singing - you got the sense of her trying to be strong, trying to be optimistic and to keep hope, and at one point in the song it was like her heart broke and she let out the depths of pain of this character.....absolutely brilliant.
Overwhelmed with emotions and agreed with Amanda that this was the best version of this song. She took an overplayed song for most people and turned it into a masterpiece!
Wow! I heard this song for the first time in a movie and on my playlist but this version?🔥🔥🔥…. And Sydnie’s personality?🥺 lovable and so free spirited🥺❤️

Same. Everyone on TH-cam overhypes some singers if they're just good. But Sydnie Christmas really is amazing. She should never work in that gym again. I hope she finds really good management.
She reminded me the way that Judy Garland or Liza Minnelli used to sing. She putted her whole heart and soul to the song. There are lots of good voices, but not everybody can do something like that.
A star is born!!! She deserves the West End and Broadway! Absolutely amazing energy, personality, and pipes to match!! She’s a rare gem. Love her so much

I've watched this at least a dozen times over the last few months and I'm not exaggerating when I say it makes me literally sob with happiness from it's beauty. As soon as it popped up I said "oh no" aloud because I knew the tears were coming 😅
She's aware she's good, but the look at 5:21 when she steps back to see the reaction of the crowd just goes to show she doesn't know how good she really is. I love that look of surprised wonder. She was amazing!
She was also really nervous at first you could tell by her breathing and once she gets comfortable she takes a deep breathe and kills it from then on our.

@nebelland8355 my post was basically about bgt using the golden buzzer on a proffesional singer thats the 2nd time they done that. I dunno i used to like the show but it seems a bit fixed and fake now, shes a really good singer yes! It had tears to my eyes i loved the performance.
She has that old-style fuller range - she can really belt things out and make each note clear. Seemed like mature vocals. As if she's been breathing fresh alpine air all her life. She's wonderful.

I have a feeling The West End will be kicking down her door. That was the most beautiful version of 'Tomorrow" I have ever heard.
🤔 Nope
@thedesolateone8260 you've heard one better?
I believe she's performed on cruise ships before but she amazing!!
Why “nope”?
She’s already a musical theatre performer, she was in Starlight Express in Germany
😮Yes! There’s always 🎶 Tomorrow🎶! The SUN will come out!😊Bless you & your family more & more!❤❤❤
So sorry to hear this. Praying for you and your wife man.
I Love this Lady. I was smiling and crying at the same time. When life get tuff we hope tomorrow will bring peace, Love, and Happiness. Great performance ❤
Praying for you and your wife man, May God bless your family
Thank you, Sydnie. I'm going through a lot right now. I was assaulted and thrown off a 15ft balcony. I have 2 fractures in my foot and a L1 wedge compression fracture in my back. You have lifted my spirits and touched me to keep moving forward, that the sun will come out tomorrow. God bless you and thanks again! 🤗
Hang in there, and best wishes for your recovery. I have an inkling of what you are going through. I had bilateral femur fractures, fractures of the left tibia and fibula, and a pulmonary embolism.
I believe that too. It’s how you get up after a fall
I’m so sorry for what you’ve been thru. I hope that the idiot(s) who assaulted you are in prison. Sending you a virtual hug and wishing you a speedy recovery.❤️
Tomorrow will be better for those who believe
Womp womp
Her tone, technique, forward placement and control is absolutely stunning. A throughly deserved golden buzzer
"Thank you so much for screaming for me" what an absolute humble and genuine comment! Your a legend girl!
Yes, I found that comment so heartfelt and touching. It warmed my heart.
And she couldn't believe the genuine reaction from the audience or what the judges were saying. I hope we see her a lot more after BGT ... on television, film, stage ... I also hope she has a successful recording career.
ABSOLUTELY!
@genesis554 Let's ave it?
A rare personality - warm-hearted, humorous AND vocally ON TOP!
Isn't it wonderful what great beings this human race can produce?
THANK YOU SIDNEY!
Sydnie not Sidney... 😉
Not many people can sing with that kind of emotion. Beautiful
Emotion, control, clarity, note accuracy and those low notes.... oh my word. Just incredible vocals
She had me won over before she even started singing. Now, I'm absolutely excited to see her in the spotlight.
Me too! My first impression was "what a sweetheart!!!"
Absolutely!!
I agree one thousand and ten percent with you!
I totally agree... her amazing personality cannot be hidden it flows out freely for all to see ...she is genuinely a precious gem that needs to shine...I don't normally like show tunes but her rendition felt more like a world wide #1 hit!! I could listen to her all day long..may God Bless her on her musical journey thru life...Karl from Canada
The two lower notes were so perfect, pronunciation, technique, total vocalist....... fantastic. I will be following her career for sure!!!
Her disbelief of her getting that golden buzzer is what breaks me every time. Can watch it over and over again.
Same here. She is utterly astounding. Never has any singer on BGT or any talent show for that matter had such an impact on me.
Me too! Best of luck for her future bc she sure has one heck of a talent!!!!!!!
No shame, I cry every time.
I can’t stop watching either! 🥺🥺🥺
And the more brilliant part about it is.. she is just being herself. =)
She faked it thru the song like she didn't like the song. Took her 3 minutes to use her voice finally
She makes me angry bc she's so F'N amazing!
HAVING AN AD RIGHT BEFORE HER FINAL NOTE IS ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL
Tip of the day, put a hyphen between t and u in youtube and you rid it.

She has the most amazing charm and personality I've ever seen. She's so incredibly beautiful also.
As someone struggling with depression, this song hit differently as an adult. I recognizes things may be bad but tomorrow’s a new day. It’s hopeful ❤
Run and cling on to Jesus that's the only way to get rid of it. I was in the same boat, tried to end my life twice and the Lord saved and delivered me. Haven't struggled with it since. Depression is a demonic spirit that only the Lord can rid you off. Seek the Lord's face. I'm praying for you ❤
Amen

Much love and hugs sent to you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

She can literally be anything she wants to be! She can be a comedian, actress, singer, anything! She is amazing!!
Agreed! What a stunning person
Im a 60 year old highway worker. Just got off work and my wife sent this to me. What I'm trying to figure out is who's been cutting onions in my vehicle? Seriously, teared me up. This took me COMPLETELY off guard and I am so delighted to have experienced this diamond! 🇺🇸⚔️🇬🇪
Those damn onions!!!!🤣
Your wife sent you onions. That's so sweet of her. You gotta thank her. :D
I'm a 60 year old welding inspector, and I feel the same.
Yes , so much bull in music - she is rare . Praying that she stays strong without the bull … bless them
I will look out my window facing the moon reflection of light for Christmas
Stay safe your doing grand jobx
The kaleidoscope of emotions in her singing - you got the sense of her trying to be strong, trying to be optimistic and to keep hope, and at one point in the song it was like her heart broke and she let out the depths of pain of this character.....absolutely brilliant.
I’ve now watched this an unhealthy number of times. Absolutely stunning. Let’s have it!!!
It can't be unhealthy if you enjoy it that much - if it makes you feel good, watch it some more.
I'm on number 10 views
Many many times

Overwhelmed with emotions and agreed with Amanda that this was the best version of this song. She took an overplayed song for most people and turned it into a masterpiece!
Well said! Thank you for expressing that so accurately.
I agree, that's what I was trying to say lol xx
I've always hated Tomorrow. This rendition brought me to tears. It was just beyond moving.
100%
Wow! I heard this song for the first time in a movie and on my playlist but this version?🔥🔥🔥…. And Sydnie’s personality?🥺 lovable and so free spirited🥺❤️
OMG! I’m so glad I saw this! I was thinking that she’d make a funny comedian, but then she opened her mouth and sang… and she’s AMAZING! There are no words! 🙌🏼🤩
I could watch this a million times, and as soon as Sydnie collapses to her knees, I still cry like it's the first time I've seen it!
she was born for that, it's in her eyes.
Without a doubt the most beautiful rendition of Tomorrow that I’ve ever heard. What a star!
This is the first time I’ve been genuinely blown away by a performance in a long long time…
Hi
Right blown away..
Same. Everyone on TH-cam overhypes some singers if they're just good. But Sydnie Christmas really is amazing. She should never work in that gym again. I hope she finds really good management.
What a doll she is! ,and such an amazing singer . Love from the U.S Sydnie ,Congrats
She didn’t just sing that song, she performed it.
Exactly. I made a similar comment I needed to delete after reading this.
She LIVED it!!!!
She reminded me the way that Judy Garland or Liza Minnelli used to sing. She putted her whole heart and soul to the song. There are lots of good voices, but not everybody can do something like that.
It's like hearing the song for the first time
this is the most appropriate comment to this performance. this is the first time we're really hearing this song.
That's exactly how I felt! Chills!
It's like the original was a poor cover of this version.
@@avalerionbass to be fair the original was a stage version of a cartoon child character. Annie is not exactly a show with depth or subtlety.
This was one heck of an arrangement that changed the song. Wow!
A star is born!!! She deserves the West End and Broadway! Absolutely amazing energy, personality, and pipes to match!! She’s a rare gem. Love her so much
nice comment because you said the very things I was thinking about!
She certainly has a smashing voice!
What a gift... she is literally a walking, live pipes!
Well said 👍🏼
I've watched this at least a dozen times over the last few months and I'm not exaggerating when I say it makes me literally sob with happiness from it's beauty. As soon as it popped up I said "oh no" aloud because I knew the tears were coming 😅
Loved how,she picked a children's song to project that vulnerability anyone would feel in her place. Brilliant.
I love how she took a handful of the gold confetti.
I have watched this over & over again. The best ever. I cry every time. So happy for her!
She performed that song in such an original way it was hardly recognizable. It was beautiful, just incredible, perfect!
I would listen to anything she puts out. That was the best rendition of this song I've ever heard. She's a STAR!
Agree. So good it is like a different song.
@@brendar9363 Exactly why I liked it, a lot, she made it seem sooo unique and great.
The way she took some confetti as a souvenir 🥲
She probably has a scrapbook she is creating following her career path.
Everyone who got the golden buzzer does that.
Amanda gave her a box of it at the break.
At 3:03, I feel like this is the moment where she's teasing us like, "just wait, you're about to have your world rocked".
She's got me in floods of tears. I've never cried at a BGT act in a long long time. I thought she was going to be a comic when she came on, but caught me off guard. Well deserved, you girl, are going very VERY far. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Same here 😊❤
Same here, from across the pond!! ❤
Yeah I think that was healing. I was at the pool. That was an incredible version so perfectly done. It will inspire many others to recreate other classics. She is a game changer in the industry. ❤,👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Very very far, I agree! 👍🏾
It was like another Susan Boyle audition. Totally unexpected and a tear jerker!
I still cry when I watch Susan's audition, and I've probably watched it over a dozen times.
I hope this young lady gets her dream to star in a West End musical.
She really makes me believe that tomorrow could be better than today. And just to keep going at it.
❤❤❤
Perseverance furthers.
Finally we found one who really deserves the golden buzzer, so talented, perfect voice and star dust detected
Apart from she dont deserve the golden buzzer as shes professional and shes already made west end and shes on spotify. Her intro was a complete lie bgt is so fake 😂
@@Djbangerz74 really? I dnt really know about it. But she’s a great singer
@Djbangerz74 She probably doesn’t have an engagement at West End right now and does other jobs.
@nebelland8355 my post was basically about bgt using the golden buzzer on a proffesional singer thats the 2nd time they done that. I dunno i used to like the show but it seems a bit fixed and fake now, shes a really good singer yes! It had tears to my eyes i loved the performance.
@@Djbangerz74you do know literally everyone can upload to Spotify 🤡
You know you're good when you can make someone love a song that they hate ❤
She has that old-style fuller range - she can really belt things out and make each note clear. Seemed like mature vocals. As if she's been breathing fresh alpine air all her life. She's wonderful.
The way she sang it made me believe in the lyrics!
Yep,that’s what great singer make!
Am I the only one who's listened to this multiple times? I think I've listened about 10 times! The quality of her voice and the feeling she imbues it with is what makes this rendition so special.

Ive been struggling from depression since 2015 and last year was the toughest year of my life when I tried to end my life thrice. Thank you Sydney for this cathartic version of TOMORROW. Since 2015, depression deprived me of the ability to cry but for the first time after 8 years, I felt tears flowing down my cheeks. I felt human again. Thank you....God bless

Sydnie … NEVER change! You are a treasure!
I’ve watched this over and over. She brings such a depth of emotion to that song that it’s all but a brand new song. I love when she humbly says “Thank you for the opportunity.”
Sydnie Chritmas, what a superb performance! But, even more, what a beautiful personality and spirit! Absolutely love you! Thank you so much for giving your voice to the world. You make it a better place.

The way she sang it makes me believe there is still tomorrow where there are hopes and loves... 😊
With a voice like that, I think she could make you believe anything

I have never heard a more beautiful rendition of Tomorrow in my entire life, and my favorite singer has sung this song. Sort of embraced to say I've lost track of how many times I've watched this performance, and every time hits me in the emotional gut.
Since i first heard this like three or four days ago I've probably watched it 25 times. It's so uplifting to see someone so deserving have their dream come true. She lifts everyone that sees this video....a true gift from above

She is beautiful, Cool, Humorous. awesome personality. She did not nail it. She absolutely Killed it.
That was the first time I heard her sing, and there are few performances that leave me breathless…that was one of them.
I’m with Simon. I use to hate that song, but this version, I’ll listen to endlessly. Stunning!
The way she said "Away" at the end sounded like an "Amen" followed by that perfect, reverent silence. We were all in awe. Let's 'ave it!
She told a story that has been told a hundred times over but did it in a way that made it feel new and fresh! Not many performers can do that but that's a testament to this young womens talent.
One of the most deserving golden buzzers ever.
This girl pierced my heart with the last word...... "away". BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL.
Sydnie's voice is absolutely gorgeous....but I'm even more in love with her personality!! What an amazing young lady!!
I have watched this several times already, it's not just her incredible vocals but also her fantastic personality.
