While all other SUVs of the big brands going full-e or V6 Plug-in hybrids, it's nice to see Porsche keeping the V8 alive.

I went for pre lci x5 18 months ago. But today if I have to chose between lci x5 and face lifted Cayenne I would definitely go for Porsche. Interior of the x5 is a disaster now.

@@DMCarReviews “annihilate”? That’s a strong word dude. What aspects are we comparing specifically? Keep in mind who the target is for both vehicles. …. Not saying it’s not overpriced (it IS Porsche 😉) cuz it is. But I think the X5 (especially the base model) “annihilating” the Cayenne is a bit of a stretch.
@@CM-nd7mx The 50e isn't a base model X5, but even the 40i is just as fast as this fancy "Touareg", for 40K less - while having much better infotainment, a more reliable engine, air suspension ride, and it's not a VW

I'm so grateful being able to make my dream come true buying a mid 2021 Cayenne GTS in June 2023 with all features I loved to have. The interior of the new Cayenne is not my cup of tea. Looks like a Tycan.

The worst interior finish ever for a Porsche. Just received my fourth Cayenne, a Hybrid with a price tag of 153.000 €. Customization is worthless, just an overflow of cheap plastic, the door handle is hollow and unfinished on the underside, lots of control buttons are just cheap plastic, utterly « NON” Porsche. The plastic ridden steering wheel makes me feel like I’m holding a microsoft simulator steering wheel. Look at the rear seats, just gutted when I compare these with the seats in my earlier models. the rear seats in my daughters 2017 VW Beetle are better….In all you feel like you are sitting in a Skoda…..

wow, amazing build up, but the launch was so meh! - A8- amazing video and production quality!
Save $20,000 - $50,000 and get an X5 M60i! Same performance, but with more standard features + better reliability/MPG. I also think the exterior looks better, the Cayenne sorta looks like a fish from the front. Then with your new X5, get a Porsche 911 Cabriolet or 718 Boxster to go along with it!

100% agree. i drove this cayenne s yesterday and it was not impressive at all. it felt like a regular suv even in Sport Plus. nice interior but its not engaging i was shocked

Mike you're Canadian and should be stating the Canadian price first and then give the USD equivalent; after all there are more than a few makes where the Canadian version has no direct US equivalent so you won't be able to start with US pricing. After all you ended up giving the options prices in Canadian.
And doesn't the hybrid version have the battery under the trunk floor so makes it a smaller capacity?

I laughed ... you want the option for analog gauges but you like the new shifter ... I'm the exact opposite ... I want an option for a "legacy" shifter but love the digital gauges. To each their own! 😊

As a German citizen, I would like to thank you for pronouncing the name "Porsche" correctly! :S Not every American or Brit really realized that there is a letter E at the end that should be pronounced out loud :D
Kumpel, es gibt ein paar Dinge, die an deiner Aussage falsch sind. Erstens ist es niemandem scheißegal wie man es ausspricht. Sagen sie den Leuten auch wie man Mercedes oder BMW oder Volkswagen ausspricht? Hören sie auf Nichtdeutschen zu Sagen, wie man deutche Dinge Ausspricht. Es ist auch nicht so, dass ihr Deutchen auf Englisch alles richtig ausspricht.

The more I look the more I still prefer the BMW X5
I prefer the look of the previous generation. I just dont like this new boxy taycan-y headlights.
The 2020+ gen V6TT Cayenne was clocked at 4.2 seconds to 60 by car and driver or motor trend.
The pre-facelift base cayenne did 4.9 according to car and driver, the S did 4.2 and the Gts (with 15hp less and 15lb-ft of torque more than the new S) did 3.9.
Perhaps the Sport Chrono makes a reasonable difference, but this is huge
@@PapiAndrey None of this is huge really, fractions of sections don't make much of a difference on the road compared to other important features such as ride and handling.

I think that the results on this channel might not be as good as magazines that have tons of testing equipment and know how to extract the best times in ideal conditions to fairly compare

Porsche just makes the best well rounded vehicles, and always excellent build quality. That said I like the looks of the BMW X5 M Comp better inside and out, and probably cheaper.
And better to use everyday.

I know this is not what people want but I think Xbox in 2024 should move xbox 1st party launches to GamePass Ultimate and then to the other "tiers" in like 8 months or so. It'll get more people in Ultimate and even more sales from other stores.
It's an assumption. Im not in marketing or done any marketing research. But, expand cloud gaming and more people will move to Ultimate. I never really have time to turn on my console infront of my tv and working from home means i don't want to game at my desk either.

The design hasn't even changed. The profit they make on this fancy "Touareg" is isnane. 100K+ for this is crazy. You aren't even getting your money's worth. A 5 sec 0-60 off launch? How fast is it off idle? Like 6 seconds? The BMW X5 is such a nicer car, with better mpg, faster acceleration, way better technology, and included maintenance. I'd personally get the X6 M60i for this price range. If you want to save money and get excellent efficiency get the 50e.
Sir i own both porsche and bmw. When i get in porsche its a feeling you dont get even tho bmw is sporty to drive porsche has it all
@@ryanowen3026 The feeling I get inside the Porsche is a VW vibe that I had in my VW Arteon. The gas pedals, the shifter, it's all the same. The wipers are straight from the S5 that I had. Look at the virtual cockpit. It's not even as good as Audi. it's VW quality. It's literally a Touareg for double the price. It's far from "sporty" with its curb. When you say has it all, you mean "have to get all the extra packages" just to get to the features of a base X5.
The car in this review didn't have launch control (comes with the sport chrono which was missing) so the figures are off idle.

I don't know. The engine is nice ofc, but then again a v6 was really just a shame. But I think I liked the previous front better. Same for the rear. Previous genration was perfect. Now it almost looks like a bit of a puffer fish in comparison. Kinda like that bloated knee after an accident or something. You now what it's supposed to look like, but it's thicker. In a not good way.
Not gonna consider any car without a shifter handle…where are you supposed to put your right hand when you are driving with 1 hand only?

The new Audi SQ8 is doing 0-60 in 4.0 with more horses and more torque in a V8 for cheaper. I have no idea who Porsche is trying to appeal to with this.
