I am 56 and I woke up for work this morning with the highway song buzzing in my head from the night before, funny how music can do that, I think the most notable trait of these young guys and their music is their ability to rekindle a long dwindled adrenal rush music used to give me. Consider I lived through the British invasion and listened to the birth and development of the biggest bands ever to blaze trails into all our lives. What is cool is that Led Zeppelin rose to fame at a time when the world was ready for them and they were not hindered with familiarity and saturation of the genera they would eventually posses , in other words they were not hindered by some of the hurdles GVF has had to overcome , all this music has been done before and done to death for decades , the fact that these guys are catching on so quickly despite that, is testament to just how talented they are , the cohesiveness of their sound the lyrics melodies tempo timing beat inflections and blazing stunningly unique vocals by Josh are what make GVF able to bulldoze through a jaded audience deadened by decades of musical mediocrity and ignite the excitement in people garnishing reactions such as the ones on this blog, to simply say as some have that GVF is reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and that is their appeal is crushingly marginalizing , my God listen to the acoustic version of Black Smoke Rising, Edge of Darkness OMG these are genuinely masterful songwriters singers and musicians. These guys are on fire and I can’t wait to hear what comes next. I still remember how it felt when I got my first Zeppelin, Stones , Floyd LP and so many other monster talents, the only reason I can remember , and I am being completely sincere in saying this , is that after listening to this entire track , for the first time in decades I felt it again I want to have all my friends over and crank this cool new album buy this new band Greta Van Fleet in its unstoppable infancy and we will all play air guitar and get buzzed laugh and not give a fuck about anything because the music is doing the talking and pulled us all out of our heads to let us live in the moment, that's some serious spiritual currency . Positivity and confidence mean a lot! He seems happy to sing and he brings up the crowd and everybody has a good time at a Greta show! I like that! Now if you don’t like them then don’t watch or listen and go away! Go somewhere else! To make snarky or negative comments at this point is pointless and ridiculous. They have broken thru to the big time and are the hottest new band to come along in years! And they are only going to get better God willing! So Stop with the stupid comments and go listen to Busting Jiver your musical Idol! You deserve each other!

Great band period! People complain that they steal their sound from Led Zep I remember reading when LZ first came out that they stole their sound from Howling Wolf and other early blues giants. We are all standing on the shoulders of giants. This is a talented band with bright future!

From a town just 20 miles from me....just starting to follow them,,,,little behind the curve I am.....LOL.....they are good, what I see is a great band in the making....zepplin aside they are still trying to get there footing...they will figure it out.

They don't even sound like Led Zeppelin that much. Why do people keep saying that? I mean, I can kind of hear it. If you actually listen to Led Zeppelin and not just a few of their songs, you would not be saying that they sound just alike. This guys are unique and extremely talented.
If you can't close your eyes and listen to the bridge before the chorus being played on guitar and not see Jimmy Page, you know nothing of Led Zeppelin, because that bridge is straight out of the Zeppelin / Page playbook.
You're drunk if you don't hear the similarity. This wouldn't be out of place on any of Led Zeppelin's first five studio albums, especially the first two.
