I think this the whole theme has to do with The Story of Cupid and Psyche in Greek Mythology. If you read that and understand some of is than you get the over idea of what is going and apply modern day ideas to the concept and story of the EP. But also I think New Jeans are sort of the “fate” or “the song” or “hymns” of each music…..looks at “Super Shy” “Cool With You” and “ETA” they all are surrounded by some sort of love or something dealing with love or fate of some kind during and adding with song!
And why does ETA totally remind a little of “Hybe Boy” the party scene by the pool..

1:18 THANK YOU for ACKNOWLEDGING JERSEY CLUB MUSIC because I swear trying to explain to people that even though this is a new sound to kpop..this does not mean KPOP "invented" this type of sound ... Jersey club, House music, and Garage all seem to be the routes NWJNS are taking with their musicality (which is great) and it is def a fresh tune and sound and WAVE for kpop as a whole... but I need people to start CREDITING where actual tunes and sounds come from and how they ORIGINATED truly... so thank you tons for that gorgeous!

I feel like LYRE make excellent music. I don’t know why, but to me it feels like they would be a perfect fit for Hwasa. intelligent lyrics, that push the boundaries. powerful, confident and unapologetic. LYRE and HWASA feel like the perfect collab. Am I right?

I know you put this a long time ago but the real story (or theory?? idk saw it in a video) is that Eva(the girl) is actually imagining killing the boy. Its like a metaphor or something, it technically means shes letting him go because he cheated on her.(dont remember how the story went but thats all I can remember)

my only critique of this song is that i wish the outro lyrics were "don't need a boy on my arm". it might be that the perspective of the lyrics change from the girls telling their friend about the guy lying to the girl with the lying boyfriend, but i just hate hearing young women saying they need a man/boy. but other than that i love it!
its cs their whole vibe is kind off teenage girls crushing on boys, you can also see that in the first album..its more like a teen girl crush y know what i mean
Honestly, it’s not a big deal. There are enough materials out there right now with all the “don’t need a man, men suck” aesthetic. That’s what girl crush was all about. I feel like real feminism is supporting all women, whether they feel they “need” a boy on their arm or not. Plus it’s not serious considering the entire song is about her frds wanting her to dump her bf asap.
