People have a good argument for Haerin being the main dancer because her dancing is accurate, disciplined, and clean. These aspects make her dancing look very satisfying and catch people's eyes immediately. Therefore, she is a very good dancer. In Hanni's case, as I mentioned before, she adds her own style to each dance, which can sometimes make her moves look incorrect or clumsy. For example, if you watch her dance to Wadada, you can see that her moves are not exactly the same as the original. However, the subtle changes she makes to the dance make it look like it was tailor made for her, which is very fascinating. This makes her a great dancer. They may see her dancing as clumsy or uncoordinated because it does not conform to the traditional standards of K-pop dancing. Newjeans concept is based on the idea of having fun with friends. Her dancing style is perfectly suited for this concept because it is full of energy and personality. Just like Picasso said, it took him four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child. This video proves what I have been saying about the hanni haerin main dancer debate. Hanni dances like a "dance crew choreographer" and Haerin dances like a "kpop idol dancer" . At the end of the day like any art dancing is subjective too, so people will prefer a dancer over another dancer "based on their personal interpretation and understanding of Dance". Personally Hanni has always been my favourite dancer/performer since debut, she's one of my fav 4th gen performers to watch onstage in kpop.

You should check out 'Ruda's Dance Lab' on youtube - he is also a dancer that has broken down Hanni's (and other kpop idol's) dancing. She definitely seems to be a favorite amongst groovy dancers.

Hanni's definitely for people who love groovy dancing. She is the type who dances with her feeling. She sometimes change her movement a little and it really work, make her performance more interesting. She also use her expression very well. It's fun watching this girl's fancams.
I love all the girls the same but Hanni just does so many things well. She plays instruments, she sings well, she does martial arts, she dances well, she knows science and dinosaurs. When they do interviews, she and Dani will speak but I know it's because they speak bettaaah english....naaauuurrr

What stands out the most for me about Hanni’s dancing is that she is so effortless at making the moves rather than purposely making strong abrupt movements to be on the beat, the moves are always clean and precise and they’re literally part of her.
Finally! Pro dancers seeing how good of a dancer Hanni is. Actually, she is a total performer when on stage. I've been a kpop fan for almost 6 years now and I always admired idols that can sing live and have the skills to own the stage with their performance. Hanni is definitely one of those idols and i'm happy that people can see that she's more than just aegyo's, cute poses and visuals. She's a real all rounder idol.
When I 1st saw them I figured out immediately that Hanni is the main lead dancer for the group. She is definitely my bias due to her super chill style and her dancing.

@@lilijonas8015 if you look at their stage performances, esp on award shows, you can tell HYBE promotes Haerin as the main dancer and Hanni as the main vocalist. Haerin got the most major solo dance breaks. Hanni is also given dance breaks but they are not as explosive or as much of a main focus as Haerin’s. This along with Haerin’s footwork going viral (she definitely has the best footwork in NJ) makes people more compelled to think Haerin as main. Many of the comment sections under their dance practice videos are full of people saying Haerin being an ace and main at everything, esp dancing.
Finally someone said this out loud. Haerin’s footwork is so good it might be the best in NJ. However, I don’t know how a lot of stans forgot the many other choreos that show Hanni as the best dancer overall. Haerin got a clean and precise technique but she doesn’t apply much power to her moves + her upper area control isn’t as developed as Hanni’s + her torso can be stiff. Hanni got a great groove + good upper and great lower area control + controlled dynamics and applies power to her moves + dynamic facial expressions.
I think all girls are talented but I think hanni is a very good singer and dancer. She can go very high and low and she has a very good posture for dancing.
And to think that some are really underestimating hanni’s dancing skills. I even knew she was the potential main dancer even before I didn’t know them just by watching their cookie performance
hanni has groove AND fluidity, best arm control, can also do footworks well, litefeet, good torso control, isolations, can do pop, potential in locking, and most importantly not afraid to do bigger movements which reflects her spatial awareness. hanni also does not shortcut moves, keen to details, on top of all of that she has confidence and stage presence which greatly helps in her showing her dance skills.

Hanni stands out. When I first saw a new jeans video, Hanni stood out to me first. The rest of the girls are good to but they are all playing catch up to Hanni when it comes to dance. Singing wise she better than most of them but I’d say heyin is on Hannis level vocal wise. Especially in a few more years!
Finally there are someone to clarify this. I am not a professional dancer but believe me, I watch a lot of dance videos. Their comments are exactly what I thought. Hanni naturally has that groove in her body, but she knows how to control it without exaggerating. I watch her fancams and I wonder if her body has melody or something? Cause every move she does, it goes with the beat. Really on point. Her dance is dynamic, on time and clean also. Super Shy choreography highlights her dance a lot. And I also notice her hip movement. It’s so flexible, like they described “she waddle”. And her expression is good too. This girl really knows how to perform. Other members may have their strengths in dance, but Hanni own a lot of strengths that require for a dancer. She’s trully the best dancer. And you may forget, she’s among the best vocal also.
I also thought it's Hanni and she's good at singing too. Plus she also has a great personality. You can tell she is a really nice person. That's what kind of person you wanna be friends with.

first time i watched them when they debuted with attention i immediately picked hanni out as the best dancer, and then hype boy came along and cemented that fact for me.
Literally the first performance of New Jeans until now, I notice Hanni and Danielle really knows how to perform and enjoy it and they are consistent throughout the performances even when its not their part. Yes, they are all amazing dancers, but its actually harder to keep it natural like Hanni and Danielle. Not downplaying Minji, Hyein and Haerin but I wish Hanni and Danielle get the popularity they deserve because its really weird to me that they are not the most popular compared to the others.

I love all the girls as dancers, especially Haerin and Minji since I think they can also be main dancers, BUT with the way Hanni dances, how she makes every choreo her own (she loves adding small details in every choreo, and I'm so happy that they mention this part 5:03 that waddle part, like she's so extra and I love it), how fun and entertaining hanni is when I’m watching her perform (her fancams are SUPERB), and overall how she enjoys and has the best time of her life in every performance, I think that is what sets Hanni apart from other main dancers in kpop groups. Truly a gem in K-pop, so happy she debuted

That's my bias. She's the main dancer of the group as we all can see. She also have such a sweet, soft, angelic and beautiful voice. I totally love and adore New Jeans, they're all so talented, beautiful inside and out, has a good energy and always surprising with another hit song.
Hanni, the all rounder. Her stage performance charisma is fantastic, not only are her body lines and dancing skills nice, she understands what facial expressions to use when on stage and when facing a camera.
There's no need to be biased, any dancer would know even those who will see newjeans for the first time they'll notice who the main dancer is. Hanni's character, Expressions, execution, Power, sharpness cleanliness are so at the peak. The body orientation when she dance is so mastered she can easily do adlibs in the hardest part in the choreos.
Hanni make the dance look easy, but honestly her dance styles are the hardest to imitate. She dance so groovy, fluid, clean and I love she always look fun while dancing, her happiness is contagious!
Hanni is the one who has the most star quality in NewJeans. She’s the best vocalist, the best dancer, and has a cute bubbly charisma to her. She’s also Vietnamese Australian but perfectly speaks Korean. It makes perfect sense why Min Heejin chose her to be one of the members.
everyone in new jeans is so good and unique it's honestly hard to pick. I definitely agree that hanni has so much power and control, and yet she stays clean and energetic while looking like she's having fun effortlessly. I would love to see you all analyze some of the other members too! I think Haerin is also a top contender because her moves are super crisp even when relaxed.

i’ve actually never seen anyone like Hanni. i’ve seen newjeans live in one of their very first performances and meets and greets and Hanni was just something else. she was so lively and vibrant and engaged with the audience and like she’s been doing this all her life. min heejin really hit the jackbot with Hanni. she is exceptional.

Both their movements are unique in their own ways and both can be main dancers. But in terms of performance I prefer Hanni.

One of the unique things about this group is that NewJeans doesn’t have defined positions: no leader, no main positions. I truly feel all of them could be main dancers if they were in a more traditional group format
Hanni is such an ACE. The first time i stanned NewJeans i was so sure that she was a main vocalist but the longer i watched them i saw how clean and well her dances are. In both vocal and dance she's very detailed and never fails to execute each note/move perfectly.

I've been a kpop fan for almost 6 years now and I always admired idols that can sing live and have the skills to own the stage with their performance. Hanni is definitely one of those idols and i'm happy that people can see that she's more than just aegyo's, cute poses and visuals.

@@lilijonas8015 if you look at their stage performances, esp on award shows, you can tell HYBE promotes Haerin as the main dancer and Hanni as the main vocalist. Haerin got the most major solo dance breaks. Hanni is also given dance breaks but they are not as explosive or as much of a main focus as Haerin’s. This along with Haerin’s footwork going viral (she definitely has the best footwork in NJ) makes people more compelled to think Haerin as main. Many of the comment sections under their dance practice videos are full of people saying Haerin being an ace and main at everything, esp dancing.
Finally someone said this out loud. Haerin’s footwork is so good it might be the best in NJ. However, I don’t know how a lot of stans forgot the many other choreos that show Hanni as the best dancer overall. Haerin got a clean and precise technique but she doesn’t apply much power to her moves + her upper area control isn’t as developed as Hanni’s + her torso can be stiff. Hanni got a great groove + good upper and great lower area control + controlled dynamics and applies power to her moves + dynamic facial expressions.
I think all girls are talented but I think hanni is a very good singer and dancer. She can go very high and low and she has a very good posture for dancing.
And to think that some are really underestimating hanni’s dancing skills. I even knew she was the potential main dancer even before I didn’t know them just by watching their cookie performance

hanni has groove AND fluidity, best arm control, can also do footworks well, litefeet, good torso control, isolations, can do pop, potential in locking, and most importantly not afraid to do bigger movements which reflects her spatial awareness. hanni also does not shortcut moves, keen to details, on top of all of that she has confidence and stage presence which greatly helps in her showing her dance skills.

Hanni naturally has that groove in her body, but she knows how to control it without exaggerating. I watch her fancams and I wonder if her body has melody or something? Cause every move she does, it goes with the beat. Really on point. Her dance is dynamic, on time and clean also. Super Shy choreography highlights her dance a lot. And I also notice her hip movement. It’s so flexible, like they described “she waddle”.
And her expression is good too. This girl really knows how to perform. Other members may have their strengths in dance, but Hanni own a lot of strengths that require for a dancer. She’s trully the best dancer. And you may forget, she’s among the best vocal also.

Literally the first performance of New Jeans until now, I notice Hanni and Danielle really knows how to perform and enjoy it and they are consistent throughout the performances even when its not their part. Yes, they are all amazing dancers, but its actually harder to keep it natural like Hanni and Danielle. Not downplaying Minji, Hyein and Haerin but I wish Hanni and Danielle get the popularity they deserve because its really weird to me that they are not the most popular compared to the others.

I love all the girls as dancers, especially Haerin and Minji since I think they can also be main dancers, BUT with the way Hanni dances, how she makes every choreo her own (she loves adding small details in every choreo, and I'm so happy that they mention this part 5:03 that waddle part, like she's so extra and I love it), how fun and entertaining hanni is when I’m watching her perform (her fancams are SUPERB), and overall how she enjoys and has the best time of her life in every performance, I think that is what sets Hanni apart from other main dancers in kpop groups. Truly a gem in K-pop, so happy she debuted

Hanni is the one who has the most star quality in NewJeans. She’s the best vocalist, the best dancer, and has a cute bubbly charisma to her. She’s also Vietnamese Australian but perfectly speaks Korean. It makes perfect sense why Min Heejin chose her to be one of the members.
everyone in new jeans is so good and unique it's honestly hard to pick. I definitely agree that hanni has so much power and control, and yet she stays clean and energetic while looking like she's having fun effortlessly. I would love to see you all analyze some of the other members too! I think Haerin is also a top contender because her moves are super crisp even when relaxed.

Finally Hanni is getting recognized!!!! Everytime I see performances and dance practices my eyes are stuck on her because her moves are very clean and often she adds details and vibe that's different than the other members, and you can feel fhat she really enjoys every move and it doesn't look forced or ungenuine . She's born to perform!!!

Both their movements are unique in their own ways and both can be main dancers. But in terms of performance I prefer Hanni.
