Dead Space 3 and the Mass Effect N7 Armor: How to Get the N7 Suit in Dead Space 3 (PC Guide)

- How to get the N7 suit in Dead Space 3 guide: How to unlock the Mass Effect 3 armor in Dead Space 3. (ME 3 save files instructions included (on where to put them).)
Now the “You’ve to have Mass Effect 3 save files” is common knowledge. However, the couple of guides Google tossed my way don’t really explain how to redeem the N7 Mass Effect armor in Dead Space 3 if you’ve uninstalled Mass Effect 3 already. Even if you’ve the files, the directory path might be confusing for some or downright misleading. Case in point: A how to get the N7 Mass Effect armor in Dead Space 3 Reddit thread I’ve seen supplies the wrong path.
NOTES:
1. For new Dead Space 3 players, know that even after you've unlocked the N7 Mass Effect 3 armor, you've to get to a suit kiosk first before you can change out of your default one and into the N7 armor. Without spoiling anything, suffice to say it doesn't happen in the first few minutes-or even levels-of the game; it happens later.
2. You need to have Mass Effect 3 save files. You can:
a.) Google for them (there are lots on the internet) BUT MAKE SURE TO SCAN THEM FOR VIRUSES.
b.) or you can use mine: drive.google.c.... Download the archived files and use the instructions in the above video.
Happy gaming!
Puzzled how I got my Dead Space 3 looking crisper than most? Here's a guide: • Nvidia Control Panel B...
For Windows 10 users, try this: If you've left your OS settings at its default, create this directory path and put the Mass Effect 3 save files in the "Save" folder:
C:\Users\Windows 10\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\save
Some helpful comments from the gaming community:
"Hello, I tried it on Windows 10 but it didn't work for me (even with your instructions)! What I did is (I speak french, so the path will be in french): "Ce PC\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\save" And it worked!" - Pacificateur99

Any idea how to make this work on steam deck?
I'm sorry but I don't have that device RetroGameGod. :(
But if I'm not wrong, doesn't Steam deck have the capability to copy what you have (files, etc) in your PC and put it in its own file directory (if it has it)? If so (and I don't have experience with that handheld so I might be horribly wrong), this guide should still work?

hello i need some help on trying to get this to work im sorta confused about how you made it work in notepad
Soooo sorry for the very late reply; was buried in RL priorities; the dayjob mostly.
If you're confused about the whole Notepad thing, just create the directory I put up at the 3:09 mark. It's:
My Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 3/Save
Be mindful that I've put up a caveat: The "My Documents" is the Windows default "My Documents" and not something you've created.
So, phrased another way, go to your OS's My Documents then create this folder under it:
Bioware
Under this, create this folder:
Mass Effect 3
Under this, create this folder:
Save
then place your Mass Effect 3 files in that folder.
thank you so much...really helpful

hey i have dead space 3 Origin but can it be apply this save file ?
Good question! I actually have this on EA Origin, not Steam. :D So yes.
It can be done on 360 you just need to grab a save file from the 360 and extract it and upload it to your video description. I have done it before.
Thank you so much for the heads-up! I don't have a 360 so a question: Does it follow the same folder structure? If not, what should be the folder directory look like?
Imbacore Still working on it I will let you know soon.
No pressure! If you can copy-paste the directory here though, I'll add it to the description box and give you credit. (No links though. TH-cam is super strict these days. :( )
I created a folder on my local disk C and uploaded the game files into it and still no N7 suit. What am I doing wrong?
Have you gotten to the 2:16 mark of the video? I've outlined the correct path there. Also, which ME files are you using? Try mine to eliminate other variables (see the description box).
Imbacore Yes I have gotten to that point in the video and I used your files
@@Flammin1000 odd. Try the 3:16 mark in my video. That's the most common mistake people make. Also, what OS are you using?
I’m using windows 10 as my OS
Imbacore I’ll try doing it again and restart my computer
Hello, do I start a new game in ds3 to unlock the suite, or will I have it in the kiosk when I continue playing the game?
So sorry for the late reply. I've been busy with real life issues.
I haven't played the game in ages but watching my video again, I can see that I made this procedue late in the game already. Just the same though, MAKE SURE to back up your save files just in case something goes wrong. (Though you can see in my vid that nothing went awry and I was able to continue playing my campaign.)
I hope this helps?
thank u sir
No need for the "sir." ^_^
Thank you too IIIPoloski for leaving a comment verifying that this works.
does this work with the legendary edition version of Mass effect 3?
Hmm no I don't think so.
Worth a try though (but yeah I don't think so).
@@Imbacore01 Aww dang it
Hi im playing dead space 3 on windows 11 but it didn't show up. is it because I am playing it link to ea play? I bough the game on steam but the game requires me to use ea play launcher to play the game for some reason.
Hello!
Yes, Dead Space is an EA game so that should not be a problem. I myself have that game in my EA account and not in my Steam one.
About your problem, have you made certain that the directory you've set for your Mass Effect files is the correct one? There might have been something you missed in my video.
@@Imbacore01 Hi i think i follow exactly in the video not sure why it did not show up. Does ea play need to have the save file upload into my ea play account?
@@Imbacore01 Hi omg I got it to work. Basically since EA created new folders called Ea Games for old and new games, the game did not recognize that new folder so to have it recognize is to created a new folder BioWare in My Documents to make it actually work

is this allowed if you dont own ME3?
Hmm I'm not sure about the legalities of that but suffice to say:
- I bought and played ME3 BUT
- At the time I mad this guide, I didn't have ME3 installed
so I guess EA didn't check if I really own ME3 at the time I directed Dead Space 3 to my ME3 saved files folder?
Not sure though.
Dont working :(
Hmm you're the first person to have said this doesn't work. What directory path did you use?
@@Imbacore01 forget it it works it don't works with me3 save files from legendary edition 🙄
I'm having issues doing this on windows 11
this was my directory:
C:\Users\(name)\OneDrive\Documents\EA Games\Dead Space 2
This is for the game Dead Space 3 not Dead Space 2. Your directory path above is for Dead Space 2.
If you already have Dead Space 3 (or once you have it), please review the video above, specifically the 3:05 mark.
@@Imbacore01 Oh I'm sorry I copied the wrong one, that was for the planet cracker (which also did not work)
My main concern is the onedrive thingy, is that causing an issue?
@@lanternius3812 If you've watched the entirety of the video, you'd notice that I emphasized that you need to have the same directory path. So yes, that is causing the issue. Please watch the video.
@@Imbacore01 rewatched it a couple of time, the issue happens every time I try to make a folder in document, it's automatically in one drive, are there instructions on how to fix that? It always ends up like this
C:\Users\(name)\OneDrive\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\Save
@@lanternius3812 first time I've heard about that problem. It's clearly a Windows issue though. I googled some and found this:
support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/files-save-to-onedrive-by-default-in-windows-10-33da0077-770c-4bda-b61e-8c8e8ca70ac7
I hope that helps.
what about PS3?
I apologize but as the title states, this is for PC only. Not a "PC vs console" gamer mind you; if I had the cash, I'd buy all the consoles too. It's just that I've been struggling lately.
I googled some for you though and I found this:
"The N7 Suit, like the Planet Cracker Plasma Cutter, is a promotional item, rewarded to those who have a Mass Effect 3 save file[1] on their PC/PS3/Xbox360 hard drive."
(Source: deadspace.wikia.com/wiki/N7_Suit)
So I imagine the process is similar? The trick is finding a save file though but I dunno where one can get PS3 Mass Effect 3 save file.
I hope this helps.
does playing the demo counts?
Hmm not sure but I imagine it wouldn't.
Register in Dead Space PS3 forums (I'm sure there should be a couple) and ask around if you can get a Mass Effect 3 save file. I'm pretty sure a lot would help you out on that one (or at least point you in the right direction). WARNING: Scan whatever file you get. Also: Be careful that what you downloaded isn't an executable file. Save files aren't that.
ok understand
This guide is too confusing i dont understand what to copy and where or what to replace PLS HELP
There are notes I put on the description box of the video. If you're using Windows 10, I've also put the path where you should put the files.

This doesn't work for windows 10!
I'll try to help you out with this.
Know that Windows 10 uses a weird directory. When I transferred my Starcraft: Brood War from my main PC to my laptop (for some odd reason the cloud doesn't work with the singleplayer campaign; it's a known issue) I remember my laptop used a weird path.
I think it went something like \Windows 10\user or something like that. When I get home I'll check and then I'll get back to you regarding this.
In the meantime, try to see if you can get to where the OS stores your My Documents and then append the directory path I delineated in the video above.
Ah! Here! If you've left your OS settings at its default, create this directory path and put the Mass Effect 3 save files in the "Save" folder:
C:\Users\Windows 10\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\save
Let me know if it works.
I just tried it, and it doesn't seem to want to accept it, should I re-trace what's done in the video? (Thanks btw)
This is my save right now C:\Users\user\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\Save
Try to see if your PC has this directory: C:\Users\Windows 10\Documents.
Because my Starcraft saves were put in there so I suspect that's what Windows 10 treats as its default My Docs directory.
If it has append these folders: BioWare\Mass Effect 3\Save so the whole thing should then look like: C:\Users\Windows 10\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3\save
See if that works.
Thank you very much man!
