Don’t play the games just react to season 2 from a perspective of a person that hasn’t played the game to get a better reaction without knowing the story
For sure, but depending on how they structure it. I honestly have a feeling they’re gonna split the “Day 1” onwards structure (iykyk) to flip more regularly instead of halves
Dont play the 2nd game pls, you can play the first one since you already watch the first season. And also try to avoid spoilers for season two if possible 😂
play both first. I really dont know how theyre going to be able to adapt the second game with how the story is told. You'll get more out of it if you play everything first.
@@CatDuckChu it is. Possibly 3. But everything I’ve seen in this trailer is from the first half of the game with a couple glaring exceptions that make me question how they plan on telling the story.
@@CornOffTheCobb well this is only the first actual trailer so i assume i might get another one sometime maybe that shows a bit more detail closer to the time
@@Dark__Thoughts no Ellie’s 18 the start of the game is only a few months after they arrived with Joel telling Tommy what happened. Then it jumps 4 years and we play as Ellie at 18 years old. The flashbacks take place over the 4 years.
Yeah. At least if you take your time to fully explore and make sure you don't skip any dialogs / catch all the optional dialogs. There's a lot more bonding time with Joel & Ellie in the game that the show did not really have the time for.
If you haven't play the games you need to be careful with the comments, some asshole is going to spoil it, they always do it. And I think you should play both games first. The first season changed enough to make it original and added some really good scenes and changes, and this season will do the same, and I think it's better to appreciate the games first and then watch the TV show. And the infected are not zombies; the infected are people alive being controlled by the cordyceps; the cordyceps can't infect dead people; they need the host alive. Zombies are undead, walking corpses, either by science or magic, and you can only kill them by destroying the brain; for the infected, you can kill them by shooting at any part of the body (obviously it will take longer), fire, strangulation, stabbing, etc. So don’t make the mistake of calling the infected zombies, they aren’t. I got full-body goosebumps. I love this franchise so much. This season is going to destroy me, just like the game. The trailer looks so close to the game, one of my favorite games of all time, one of the hardest experiences in any media, and this will be no different. That Stalker! I can't wait to see how they use the Stalker's and the Scar's. This is going to be so freaking good, just like the game.
I WILL LITERALLY GIVE YOU FIVE DOLLARS TO FREAKIN PLAY THIS GAME!!!! It’s truly an emotional roller coaster that hits way different from the show!! I was 15 when I played, I’m now 24 and still can’t find one as heartfelt as The Last Of Us✨✨✨
Im not ready 😭 I loved both games but for some reason 2 is just my fave as I love a raw emotional story, this season is gonna break me like prime walking dead would
Play both games before. The game experience is better. Dont get me wrong, the show is great, but playing feels different because you're controlling the characters. So it would be way better playing it without knowing what's gonna happen.
don’t play the game until after season 2. id love to be able to watch the show not knowing what’s going to happen, but you’ll also have the experience of getting to know what’s gonna happen in season 3.
Season 2 will be 2-3 seasons, so either do it before or somehow avoid even more spoilers for even more years to come. lol There's a high chance you'll get spoiled even in the comments here btw, as the haters are already out in force again to try to bring everyone else down to their miserable level. If you play both games before season 2, I'd highly recommend watching the trailer again afterwards, because it is full of "if you know you know" scenes.
First season you could definitely do the game or show first & still get the same experience. But Season 2, we don't know how the story is going to unfold for TV format since we will likely get a Season 3. Knowing how the creators of the show crafted such PEAK television.....whew! You're gonna want to be one of the people to experience it for the first time in real-time.
I recommend playing the games before season 2 drops; they're incredible and such an unique and intense gaming experience especially since both games got remastered for the PS5 and now you can play the first game on Playstation+ without purchasing the game
I would say since you haven’t yet. Play part one if you want but wait for part two until after you watch. So u can be on a different spectrum as others. Gives you a fresh mind going into the second.
Either play both 1 and 2 after season 2 or play 1 before season 2 and play 2 after season 2. It would be more interesting to see your reaction to the show without you knowing what will happen
Just so you know, I’m pretty sure they said the second game is gonna be split into multiple seasons. They wanna spend either 2 or 3 seasons adapting the second game.
I decided to play the second game just recently and I'm now excited to see it adapted to television. I went into season one blind and loved every episode.
The second game will be divided into 3 seasons. Play both games first, don't risk running into major spoilers. The Last of us Part II is one of the most heartbreaking stories ever told in a video game, continually putting you in conflict and pushing you to reflect. Treat yourself to play both TLOU as soon as possible
Play the first game, Watch Season 2 first before you play TLOU2 because the creator of the series made some daring choices with the second game and writing choices that didn’t work with most people, however he has the opportunity to perfect those mistakes with the second season on HBO and show a better presented story while keeping everything that was good of the 2nd game.
Don’t play the games just react to season 2 from a perspective of a person that hasn’t played the game to get a better reaction without knowing the story
Don't play the game, it's great but going in blind is a privilege the game players can't experience
Internet gonna go CRAZY this season
Play the second game after S2...the second game will be divided into S2 & S3
For sure, but depending on how they structure it. I honestly have a feeling they’re gonna split the “Day 1” onwards structure (iykyk) to flip more regularly instead of halves
As someone who has played the games this was a good trailer they gave us some good stuff but didn’t spoil anything major.
play the second game after season 2
Yes go into the show blind
Dont play the 2nd game pls, you can play the first one since you already watch the first season. And also try to avoid spoilers for season two if possible 😂
Play the games, it makes such a difference being a fan and seeing the fan service that this series has delivered.
play the first game first
play both first. I really dont know how theyre going to be able to adapt the second game with how the story is told. You'll get more out of it if you play everything first.
i think the second game will be covered in 2 seasons

bro play the games before this pls
You can play the first game but do not I repeat do not play the second game before season 2 because there’s a massive thing that happens.
I’ve actually never met someone who didn’t give up on walking dead by season 8 or before.
We dont know what month but we assume it will be in the first half of the year, my guess is February or March
you should definitely play the games first before watching season 2
@@09.ineffable i want him to react to season 2 without playing the games to get a better reaction without him knowing the story.
The 2nd game logistically is pretty hard to adapt, they're gonna have to change/move around a lot.
That's really the thing that scares me most. Otherwise the trailer made me very hopeful for a faithful adaptation though.
Heres hoping that its better than Part 2. It does look like that they are expanding and changing a few things.
in the game it’s a 5 year time skip but idk how many years it’ll be for the show. joe does look a lot older.
The show confirmed in the synopsis it's five years as well. You can see Ellie both younger in flashbacks and older.
4 year time jump
@@ryans413 5. The intro is roughly 1 year in and then it jumps another 4. Ellie is 14 in the first game and 19 in the second.

I think the game is the better media, so play both :D
2:17 the BGM was same as 😟😭
*muffled voices*
this season is going to hurt alot i just know it 💔
Play the games, as much as people loved season 1 of TLOU it does not do justice, the game’s story is so much better and is already cinematic.

I head theyre splitting this season into 2 parts
finally a real villian abby come
and its copy to the game like season 1

I think particularly for season 2 you have to play the game 1st, it has very unique way of telling the story its not as linear as the 1st game
