      No it's actually true. What really happened is the dog was just exercising his jaw and the plaintiff kept inserting her arm and then thigh into the dogs mouth. Very irresponsible of her, and the dog is to be awarded 5gs for its emotional distress.

      Some owners of untrained German Shephard's will do the blame it on the victim instead of themselves, for they cannot fathom that they are at fault for having an untrained German Shephard running loose to attack innocent people. Next time it will be an elderly lady on her own porch or a neighborhood kid on a stroll. Defendant does not get it at all.

    Something tells me the defendants fiancee is seeing a side of her she didn't know she had. Her and her neighbor seemed to have a fairly nice friendship and then for this to not only happen but for her to smile about it is crazy. They had no issues til her and her dog came along. Her injuries were bad and it's obvious it's caused her some emotional distress.

      I think the fiancée was duped, too. I think she believed the dog was a good dog, because she believed the story that a prior bite was in self defence. She clearly works, and the defendant is looking after a child, so I'm guessing that she's under financial pressure to provide for them both -which is, most likely, why there is no insurance. Feels like she's being suckered by the defendant..
      I hope she runs for the hills - she deserves better.

    I’ve been bit by a dog. It was way more painful than the immediate appearance would lead you to believe. The swelling doesn’t appear for hours, and the bruising isn’t evident until days later.

      I guess her defense was she chose to come in/not wait by the car like she was told so plaintiff fault but jj clarified she was invited over, non trespassing and was bitten and therefore the owner of the house and dog were responsible.

    The look on her face was positively psychotic. In a snap, with a joker like grin and everything, and she couldn’t even wipe that crazy smile off her face although she was trying. That was more scary than the dog bite photos.

      The homeowner did not have insurance on the home, which normally has clauses for pet ownership and pets biting and hurting individuals. If the defendants significant other had homeowner's insurance, the plaintiff could have used the defendant's home insurance to cover her hospital bills from the dog bite. Since the defendant did not have insurance, the plaintiff had no other recourse but to take the defendant and her significant other to court to sue her for medical bills, pain/suffering etc.

    JJ saw through her like a ghost! The obvious trauma on the plaintiff's face as she reliving it over and over in her head. That broke my heart. I hope she can get some counseling to help her. The defendant is a gross human and if my "fiance" treated someone like that she'd be OUT! Monday breakfast with my neighbor back on.

    The defendant's statement at the very end disgusted me deep down inside, I can't believe someone can grow to a full-grown adult and not know that a wound doesn't look the same way later as it did when fresh, the bruising, redness, welling, and infection sets in afterwards, it's not instant!

    The defendant is a real piece of work. She states she's "taken aback" while the victim attacked by your dog, a dog who has bitten before, is crying right next to you as she show her injuries from your vicious dog. YOU'RE TAKEN ABACK!?     I hope the defendant doesn’t have children with this woman. The whole “she made the injuries worse” defense was the same one my daughter in law used when my oldest grandson was FINALLY removed and granted a no contact order. “Well, the bruises I left weren’t that bad; he made them worse on purpose”. Good God.

    The defendant is wrong on so many levels. To be so careless, and make all these excuses! But also to try to claim that the wounds were not actually there. She needs a lesson in human injuries as well as pet ownership! Some injuries just look red, or they're too swollen to show well, bruises aren't going to show until later, etc. And be in control of your freaking dog!

      I was thinking if the dog really had that big ass tumor and they didn't get it treated, it was probably in immense pain. That cab cause terrible behavioral shifts including biting that wasn't happening before- and underscores how bad of a pet owner she was if she didn't even seek treatment until after it bit TWO people.

    My broken hip and broken foot were missed by a team of 7 bone trauma surgeons for 2 weeks because they were focused on the more serious broken spine and shattered body.
    When some wounds are really bad it’s easy to not notice smaller but still serious wounds. It’s called triage. This neighbor who was mauled didn’t make her injuries worse for fun. These were the injuries! I hope the lovely home owner realizes what a poor choice she made in a partner before the marriage.

    I had my left ear ripped off by a dog when i was 7 so i don't mess with aggressive dogs. When i was about 20 a big dog can running onto my mom's yard barking and being aggressive. I hit him with a big bull whip i had! He didn't return....

    My grandfather owned German Shepards and they had known me since they were tiny puppies, and one day walking home from school one of them attacked me out of nowhere.. I am 30 years old now, and still to this day am terrified to even go near a german shepard
