Ammar asks why the state should open industries?
Why? because the state believes that the economy grows when they directly make money, not when its people make money.
They don’t understand mobilising capital because they don’t want citizens making money.

Biradar muluqs se kashkol main 20 billion dollar khairaati loan le lein. 10 billion dollar Gazza bhej dein. 10 billion dollar rakh lein papa johns ke pizze ki dukaanen kholne ke liye. It will be a Game Changer, just like CPEC & SIFC! No point wasting time for Growth. Strategic depth & jehad should be the focus! Use Dam Fund money for Bloody Civilians!

Very necessary that pension should move to a Contributory Pension regime. But to make it contributory you should have strong and reliable debt and equity markets which Pakistan does not have. Pension funds should generate returns to at least beat inflation. India’s NPS is slowly maturing

I believe the Government is actually waiting for absolute mayhem to bring real reforms. Desperate times require desperate measures, and here they are taking baby steps which will further crash what is left. They are still beating around the bush when they should be working on a war-footing. The new FM should have tried to do a Manmohan Singh, but for that to happen you should first have some like PMN Rao as PM. The blame should fall squarely on the PM and not on the FM

What mayhem? What reforms do you want? Manmohan was forced to do reforms by western countries. How long did India want to survive by exporting beef?

Having listened to Ammar on your podcast numerous times, I am truly convinced that if the State truly desires change, it has the capacity to achieve it. However, it appears that we are currently preoccupied with other priorities that may take precedence over this crucial matter.

Let's unpack that further. The State knows what the issues are and if it willed, it would course correct. The fact that it doesn't, despite the many sessions analysis provided by experts, is a deliberate, active choice. It is by design.

In Indian punjab, you get domestic electricity bill every two months, where 600 units are free, if u use electricity judiciously, u get zero bill at least 5 zero bill in a year, 6th may be u will have to pay when u use AC , STATE GOVT, PAY UR BILL AS THIS SUBSIDY IS BORNE , Although this is criticized by economists as this is non productive non growth expenditures

The annual data is put in the economic survey document which is on the finance ministry’s website
Monthly inflation data is published on the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics website
State Bank of Pak website publishes monetary policy statements which provide outlook for inflation as well.

Amazing podcast. However I disagree with Ammar regarding shifting all export oriented industry near the port. Most of Pakistan’s exports are based on cotton which is grown in South Punjab or Upper Sindh. Congesting the textile industry near the cotton-producing areas makes perfect sense. For all industries based on imported raw materials, I completely agree with Ammar.

Why they are not making it compulsory to pay online if transection is more than 5000
And why not demonetization of 5000,1000 and even 500 rupee currency bill
Uneducated poor man can pay with 100 rupee bill and big transections will be impossible to do and also foreign currency in cash form must be a criminal offense
