The song is a phantasmagoric sticking off their middle finger to the music industry. They have been criticized for singing almost exclusively in English, not their native tongue, so this was their response to say “screw you!” The lyrics are a powerful statement to say “we’ll take care of ourselves, thank you very much”

"The music industry" most likely didn't have any opinions about them singing in English, but some trolls here on TH-cam do. They even call them Malinchistas because of this despite the fact that Malinche was one of the first to speak Spanish ( _the language of the invaders_ ) in Mexico.

This was the live premiere of Narcicista (that’s what Pau is announcing at the beginning), so very few people in the crowd had heard it. As you often say, they’re just SO GOOD.
Also? Totally irrelevant fun fact: I appear at the end of the video 🙂. It was an honor and a joy to be there.
I'm southamerican but I cannot understand the criticism about that the ladies don't sing in spanish. It's simply stupid, everybody knows that the ladies are mexicans so...GROW UP GUYS!
hermann frez it is silly, to tell artists how they must express themselves. I agree with you entirely. Every one has a voice in today’s world, and when it is this special, you just sit back and enjoy every second of what they are saying.
The is from people in their own country. The interviews I have watch with the interviews politely criticizing them for English only songs, and them having defend themselves is down right criminal.
The band needs to continue to do what they want. Don't worry about pleasing the haters
It's so stupid. If you want to have international success you have to sing in English. There are only very few exceptions from that rule. Like Rammstein or Babymetal. It's so silly to blame them for that. And it's their decision. Nobody is forced to listen to them.
Their Narcissista song was a basic FU to we can sing in whatever language we choose. Just because we’re Mexican doesn’t mean we have to sing in Spanish so Pau wrote the song as a “here you go, we can do it” but never mind talk to the hand.
Pau is a talented drummer and a good singer so gorgeous ya 😊❤

I'm glad you two reacted to this version of Narcisista to get the full effect of the vocals and what they stand for. These young ladies have taken quite a bit of flak from their detractors that think they should only compose music in Spanish, so basically they're saying "OK, you want a song in Spanish? There wasn't any technical problems in the Vivo Latino show. It was recorded on the stage behind the event PA and therefore you can't hear what the crowd hears, you only hear the guitar amps and what ever monitors aren't run though their InEarz monitors and the raw drums. The video was meant to demonstrate the amazing crowd at the event for The Warning...

This was their answer to their at home critics. They did not like being criticized for singing in English.
I'm glad you are checking out a better audio version of this song but like I said before there was no technical difficulties in the first video. Rudy the manager was doing video with his cell phone. Its gonna sound funky when you are not in the crowd or tapped into the sound board. So the band had no technical difficulties, just difficulties in the recording method.
They actually said they were not able to hear themselves over the monitors or In-earz. Yes, the fact that it was on an iPhone onstage certainly didn't improve the audio on that one.

It almost felt like the "Na! Na! Na!" was almost a message to everyone that it doesn't matter what language their lyrics were in...that it didn't need to be in any language. I might have just been "Na! Na! Na!-sense" words...but it was still so so good nonetheless.

Just to think that a 17 year old girl refused to cower in front of the critics, wrote this song & passionately delivered it with appropriate theatrics to drive home her message while pounding the drums. Apparently Pau's mother had to tone down her 1st draft. 😱
And she was synchronizing the display with her left stick besides co-ordinating with Dany's pedal board.
