The girls had been criticized by some in Mexico for singing in English and this was their answer. It basically is saying you don't know anything and we're not listening to you (na na na na na). This was the first performance of the song and you can tell by her delivery that Pau (the singer) was telling the critics to shut up. Great rockin' song and a great performance. The girls were 19, 17 and 14 at the time.

This song is a whole tackle box worth of hooks. This was the video that sold me on the band, and on Pau as such a force as an artist.

These sisters never cease to amaze! They really are not metaL They are a rock Power trio, but they blend many decades and genres of rock into one incredible package. Daniela, the guitarist is the oldest and lead singer most of the time. She is playing a custom guitar with an all aluminum neck called a Spearfish, by a luthier named Rick Toone. Alejandra, the Bass player is the youngest Spector Bass Artist ever (at 13yo) and now plays a 5-string USA Custom Spector made just for her. She is now 16 and Spector is releasing a new signature model bass in her honor. Paulina, the Drummer, is a Sabian cymbal artist. She is an absolute wonder, being able to sing and drum. All three are also classically trained o Piano, starting at ages 3-5. I am convinced they are actually 3 Unicorns from the planet Rocktopia.
Their viral cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman occurred when they were 14, 12, and 9 (!) years old. As others have said, try their newest, Evolve. Put on a seatbelt first!

Nice! The Warning is a visual experience. They are better live than in the studio. This performance was in 2019 and was the first time they played this song live, a rebuke of their critics.It was released as a single and will stay that way. They are three sisters from Monterrey and were 19, 17, and 14 during this concert. They have been playing as a band since December 2012. Dany's guitar in this concert was a Rick Toone Spearfish from a boutique luthier in NY. Try their latest single, Evolve - mind blowing!
Yes you chose the right one, this is the first time they played it publicly, so much power and attitude and that's why you don't mess with the Warning. This song was wrote in response of their critics calling them cultural traitors and the rest is kick a$$ rock history. If you want intensity I highly recommend their 2 new songs, Choke and Evolve, now those are intense. A little heads up, Choke is well over 800k views and Evolve is over 126k views in about 3 days, now it's your turn.
Both of those are solid, well written and performed hits, I can't wait to see them on tour.

The Warning will be opening for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City this coming November 10th, with a concert capacity of upwards 65,000 people. All I have to say about that is simply a “warning” to the Foo Fighter to prepare to be outclassed by their opening act! I fully expect these sisters to be headlining their own concerts in very short order. The world has been Warned!

This was June 14, 2019. I was there for my first ever trip to Mexico. What amazes me about this performance is that they were so tight, despite it being the first time they ever played it live. They had just spent 3 weeks on vacation in Canada, not picking up an instrument up the whole time. They had 2 days to get ready for this show, but one was consumed doing interviews and press. It was the day Narcisista was released. I love the song, and my entire Spanish vocabulary is a basic greeting, cerveza por favor and Narcisista.
You should react to The Warning performing at Teatro Metropolitan. Professionally shot, excellent sound, all worthwhile.
Great reaction! Yes, they started when they were very young! Ale, the bass player was about 8 years old when they gave their first performance. In this performance they were Dany (guitar) 19yrs, Pau (drums) 17 yrs, and Ale on bass was 14 yrs old- already very seasoned professionals! They were on the Ellen show when they were 15, 13, and 10 years old and had already given 2 Ted Talks by the time Ale was 12 years old!
You are misunderstanding the video. Others have explained what the song was about but at the end when Dany said "What Do You Think" she is asking the audience what they thought of the song scolding their Mexican critics- this was the premier of this song.

First started enjoying your reactions to Rush tunes a while ago! The cool Rush/Warning coincidences are that the drummer (more often than not) is also the lyricist, The Warning's second full length album "Queen of the Murder Scene" (which you reacted to "Dust to Dust") is a concept album, like so many early Rush albums, and lastly, The Warning's drummer Paulina (Pau) changes drumming patterns on each successive verse on many of their tunes (much like Neil Peart liked to do on many Rush tunes). The Warning are incredible young ladies, check their two newest tunes since signing with Lava/Republic, "Choke" & "Evolve" (just dropped last Friday).
At the end of 2022, they have now played shows with Pau out front singing this song: their show in Teatro Metropolitan 29 August 2022, with Beato Ramos playing drums th-cam.com/video/rfAOiCKie7o/w-d-xo.html ; and two shows in Tuscon with Arejay Hale playing drums (the second one is best, th-cam.com/video/H1P6xuMIcwY/w-d-xo.html).

Great reaction to The Warning NicknLex! Greetings from Fresno, California. I have watched quite a few (around 12-15) of your reactions (YES, Steely Dan, ELP, Jethro Tull, Joni Mitchell and a few others). I was so excited when you started sharing your reactions to my favorite band - The Warning. The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers who are truely grateful and endearing to all of their fans. Each one of their original songs is an absolute banger. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and psychosis and eventually suicide. It's a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood", is also very good and is packed with great songs. Their 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. We are all patiently awaiting their 3rd album release. They are just 21, 19 and 16 years old now, but they were only 19, 17 and 14 years old in the "Narcisista" video. They have got a lot of flack from Mexican critics for writing their songs in English and not Spanish; their mother language. In response, they wrote their first song in Spanish: Narcisista. In it, they reject all the criticism and basically dust their critics off as haters. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians; however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 5, 5 and 3 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. They just dropped their 2nd single "Evolve" off the 3rd album. You will have to get creative to get it past the TH-cam police. Make the screen to the music video smaller - 1/4 size of your screen (or not at all). Pause it a couple of times.

Yes, they are sisters. And, Yes, they have put in their 10,000 hours all before the oldest was 21. Everything they do is golden. 🤘😍🤘
They're the only musicians in their family. Their parents (Luis and Mony) are music buffs, particularly classic rock, and family nights were often spent in front of the TV watching videos of classic concerts. The girls attended summer camp with theater and music appreciation activities, and they all started (classical) piano lessons around age 5. There are videos of them playing classical music, both in recital and practice; there's one of Dany and Pau playing a sonatina by Diabelli four-hands on the piano, at the end of which Dany shows her budding stage presence.
When Dany was about 7 (give or take) their parents bought them Rock Band as a present. They (well, Dany and Pau at least; Ale was too young at the time) could not stop playing it, and their parents asked them if they'd like to try other real instruments, which they did and took to. The story I've heard about the name they picked was that when they were playing Rock Band they imagined themselves to be a band preparing to release their next album, which was going to be called The Warning. When they played in a talent show at school (the Liceo de Monterrey) they needed to come up with a name. Mony came up with...well, let's just say that it was something that wouldn't really be appropriate for a hard rock/metal band, but they didn't like it and one of them eventually remembered The Warning, so that's what they used.
One story I've heard is that they decided at some point that they wanted to do this professionally, and their parents told them that they would support them, but that it was a two way street; they had to put in the commitment to 2 hours of individual practice and an hour of band practice in addition to schoolwork and chores. Good way of sorting out whether something's a real interest or just a passing fad, but it's obvious what the answer to that question is.
They were playing covers, which Luis taped and posted to TH-cam so members of their extended family could watch the girls' progress. Enter Sandman somehow got picked up and went viral, which got them quite a lot of attention, including help from Ellen DeGeneres to attend the summer program at Berklee College of Music (right here in) Boston. Dany was the only one old enough (minimum age was 15, and that's how old she was), but they granted a waiver to Pau and Ale. It's a demanding program, and at one point Dany had a homework assignment to write a song, and she was drawing a blank. She felt very homesick, missing her friends, and out popped When I'm Alone.
They had received various record contract offers, but they all wanted the band to change their music (pop rather than rock) and how they dressed on stage (I don't know and probably don't want to). One executive asked them whether they'd rather play for 12 people or 12,000; they (apparently in the person of Pau) sent the hapless exec packing with "We'd rather do what we like playing for 12 people than doing something we don't for 12,000". They've since (as early as 2017) played for audiences of 20-30K at festivals, opened two shows for Def Leppard, opened for the Killers, and a lot more. Lava is reputed to a be a more artist-friendly label, and their CEO has said that he believes in trusting his artists, but it took 7 months to negotiate the deal (about a year ago) because they insisted on maintaining creative control and keeping their Patreon support. The sisters apparently insisted on reading the contract in detail themselves in addition to having the lawyers read it. Good due diligence. Their parents have been extremely supportive and have made a lot of sacrifices, but aren't "stage parents" who are pushing their children into doing something for their ego (if they were, I'm sure they would have been made to sign a deal much earlier). Dany, Pau, and Ale make the major decisions themselves; Luis is co-manager along with a friend (Rudy Joffroy) who has experience in this or a related area.
They are known to be very kind and generous people. I haven't met them myself (I'm relatively recent to this and have not yet had an opportunity to attend a concert), but they do a meet and greet with their Patreon supporters afterwards.

@@madsmty they have very few videos. The reason I even know about them is from an interview with Misa from Band Maid talked so highly about them in an interview. Apparently they did a few concerts with them. I have hunted for them on social media and have not find anything. There are a few live videos from a television program and a few MVs. I think that there might be an album. They are a more straight ahead hard rock band and not metal at all. I wonder if they are still together. It's a shame. They certainly looked very promising. They have an Ep called Fragmentos and I believe one self titled album:Ruido Rosa.

Their new EP May Day is really incredible. Please check out Evolve, Disciple and Choke but everything on that EP is great.
Pau, the drummer, not only drums and sings in these live shows, she also runs backing tracks and the screen. If you watch the very beginning where she's introducing the song, you will see her use her drum stick to hit a pad on her left the queues the screen and starts their click/backing tracks. She does SO much!

What's also so cool, The Warning performs this song in the United States to predominately English speaking crowds, and the crowds love it! I'm willing to bet that this song is the number one foreign language single with lyrics that are understood by English speaking fans around the world. I don't know of any other current Spanish song that has been translated and explained faithfully over and over and over again on TH-cam by The Warning Army!
The sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 16 as of July, 2021) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 19 as of July, 2021) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 21 as of July, 2021) 5. The single, "Narcisista" is scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. (They have recorded a second yet to be released Spanish language song (although they have played working versions of it live in South and Central America), "Martirio" for their upcoming third album)

Factoid: *Paulina (Pau = Pow) broke one of her drum sticks* during the guitar solo. Look carefully. A stage hand (who helps Alejandra (Ale = Al - leh) changes & tunes her bass) reaches in to retrieve the broke stick that Pau won't step on it.

I think I saw somewhere online that their new album will have at least one Spanish track.I know I think this one was awesome.
The first time I heard this song I thought there's trouble at home (México). I didn't know what was going on but the song was a middle finger at the haters. Later I found out there are some critics that didn't like them singing in English. Yeah, we have those kind of critics here too in the U.S.A. Critics are just full of themselves.
Unfortunately we do. Mexico has always had it difficult releasing rock and metal music. The record companies don't support them. The warning are 👍😎

Funny side story. The girls in past interviews talk about forgetting their Spanish grammar and when they wrote this song their mother had to go through and correct the grammar so it would make sense
That makes sense!! Spanish grammar is NO JOKE! I learned the hard way in middle school in Mexico after having done all elementary in the US. Graduated top of my class after the first year though :) Thanks for the trivia, Lex
