@@vahlanayruyou're not a real gamer if you don't lose your seamoth at least once. Of course, you lost it as soon as you got it. Do you have this much negligence for automobiles? 😅
It took me tens and tens of hour to figure this one out, on my first playthrough. At that point, I was on my 4th or 5th Seamoth already :( (fricking boney boys are the worst)
"This planet is under quarantine" Definitely rings some bells... I began to watch playthoughs of this game during Covid lockdowns. You didn't read the date you collected, yet you assembled the mission plan on your own. Noice. We'll make an underwater explorer of you yet !
You can make a Grav Trap to easily catch fish and never run out of food or water And also don't forget to check the inside of the wrecks. there are many blueprints inside
Sunbeam: *gets shot down* VanLanayru: I would like to speak to the aliens' manager! Also, definitely check your PDA more after scanning things or picking up PDAs. You'll miss a lot (including, often, your next step in the game) if you don't read them. I.e., things like a water source on the island that you could have used instead of panicking :)
What probably happened to your seamoth was that it wasn't stationary when you left it and it continued to drift dawn below the crush depth without you knowing it. I've lost a seamoth to that exact reason in that exact place, too... I did not have enough oxygen to reach the surface lol. 16:32 "What was that?" graphical loading glitch, I think. I've spent a looooong time trying to identify it... bugs me everytime I see it.
I'm so lucky I managed to get out of that situation. I just held W with my seaglide and I hoped for the best lmao. The loading glitch thing almost looks like it's on purpose, like some sort of underwater storm
Rip Seamoth if only i remembered i had a repair tool. happens to the best of us kudos on facing your thalassophobia. 😄 very smart scanning to get titanium a very useful thing to do. i would take some time and go back and read and listen to your pdas that you have picked up along the way and all of your scan data is avalible too its the book icon when you open your pda. bulbo trees are your friend
For some reason it just didn't click in my head to try that 😅 Reading all the entries from the PDA is next on the to do list, got some PDA catch up to do
Oddly enough i really like building my base where you can find keens pod, theres a good amount of reasources near by, even some rare materials in small quantities , also it pretty safe, if you dont stray too far...... Also those caves you saw that went deep with the purple shrooms have a possible solution for your water issue
@@vahlanayru it is but I set up my base just above it on the plateu next to one of the wrecks, nothing really dangerous spawns there so long as you don't venture to far out, in fact the only real danger are the spade fish when you run them over and they damage the sea moth . Plus while it is deeper than the shallows it's just bellow the edge of the kelp forest biom so your relatively close to your life pod and the safe shallows
5:26 I tend to leave the seamoth a 3 meter depth margin, so when the max is 200 I won’t get out below 197 incase it drifts a little bit or something bumps into it and moves it
Remember to scan everything and read the entries in your PDA. When you were running from the island because you were dying of thirst? You actually had nothing to worry about - you were surrounded by food and drinkable water.
0:03 Lol. That is the exact place in which I've build my permanent base today, on top of that tall pillar, and I'm using the smaller pillar to jump into the moonpool with the 'you-know-what'.
Not wanting to spoil your experience, but I see that you're ignoring most of the details on things that you scan. It's important to read the data for informations on whether it's exploitable or not. For example when you were running for water while if you had payed attention you would have no need to run all the way to a bladderfish bottle, I'll say no more, I simply love this game and I wish I could experience it again as a first timer.
I'll definitely be setting some time aside in the next episode to catch up with the PDA entries, I thought it would be more of a 'complete the collection' kinda deal but it seems they're way more informative than I though. Thanks for the heads up!
8:28 I only found this series today so you probably have figured this out by now but you cannot make a fridge, however in the second game, Subnautica Below Zero, that was added
If you are scared of monsters attacking you, click f1 to check the biome. Only the dunes, crash zone, bulb/koosh zone, blood kelp, mountains, grand reef, and void should have hostile leviathans/larger creatures. Also, only the front, back, and east sides of the aurora have reapers. The west side should have none unless a reaper moves there, but they don't go far from the place they belong.
Please!! More Yoinks and yeeepeees. I love your playthrough. Also ditch the extra oxygen tank, you'll never use it and can have more space in inventory. You seem to lose your thalassophobia once you focus on doing things, but you get back to it every time you look at that open blue space. Why don't you also play Breathedge or Astrometica, see if vacuum of space has the same effect. Also try Below Zero once you finish this one! You're too damn cute!
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it 🤗 And yes, you're right. As soon as my focus is elsewhere, I get a little comfier and I'm not as caught up in my fear. Noted your recommendations, maybe you'll see a video with them in the future! Thank you 💜
Just an FWI, u can change the color of your icons if u don't like the blue on blue and I would wait 2 build your base until you've explored the 2nd island
"I go from having all the titanium in the world to having none of it"
Average Subnautica base-building experience
It just vanishes, gonna have to go on a titanium grind
The loss of of your first seamoth is always an emotional moment...
(And the repair tool is your friend.)
Also - scan everything! And read the info!
Legit, I was so sad because of this. Didn't even get the chance to name it! Scan everything ✍️ Read the info ✍️ Got it!

I can't believe you lost your first Seamoth at a depth of 200m, at night, and still lived. I think I would've freaked out and reloaded a save.
I'm not gonna lie, I did go afk with my head in my hands for a couple mins before tryna leave. Scariest thing that's happened to be thus far

I Remember this is how I played the game at first. I had extreme thallasophobia at first, but playing through Subnautica helped me to lower it
It's so hard to think straight and pay attention to everything when all I can pay attention to is the MASSIVE amount of open water surrounding me 😂

Idk who they think they are 😅I've got a lot of reading to do for the next episode! Will definitely be catching up with bits I've missed from the PDA
Everyone looses a seamoth somehow to depth, creatures I lost one in a complex cave system after I got lost & died of thirst. Nice playthrough.

That GFX glitch sometimes happens when the game loads a wreck into the area.
I'm so lucky I managed to get out of that situation. I just held W with my seaglide and I hoped for the best lmao.

this is one of the best game ever

using the repair tool on your seamoth fixes it! also, making a grav trap will allow you to catch fish easier :)

Is Keens pod not like, 300m down? 😖 Idk if I'm brave enough to live there lmao. Going that deep into caves/water is defo going to be a problem for me

its funny cause from what ive heard people get thalassophobia from subnautica, ive just got a minor version like the minors i have in my baseme-
