Maybe Cameron thinks his feet are small because he's tall cause Kale said they have the same shoe size but Cameron's taller so maybe that's why. Honestly I don't think feet size really matters but just because i don't doesn't mean that it doesn't matter to other people really though i don't think he should stress it too much the eyes make up for it haha ;D

I HATE THE "I gave birth to you, I know you better than you know yourself" ARGUMENT. My problem is that my mom had very similar experiences to me as a teen, but for her it was mostly just a phase. My biggest fear about being trans is that I'll grow out of it and have to face my mom after everything. I've thought through it though, and me and my mom have had very similar experiences for very different reasons. My mom was raised in an incredibly religious family and went to a religious school, so her teenage experience was based in rebellion and being gender nonconforming in a unsupportive environment, while I just have gender dysphoria. For example, my mom cut her hair short because she wasn't supposed to, but she actually took me to shave my head and I had full support. It's still really frustrating though, that she sees so much of her teenage years in me when we had vastly different situations. Also, she approaches top surgery only knowing what it's like for cis woman with breast cancer and how terrible that is, so she's both not letting me get it until I'm 25, which is understandable, and she's convinced I'm not gonna want it by then. It's frustrating.
How the hell do people think they know someone more than the person themself ? That person has a mind , thoughts and feelings , are parents just gonna ignore that exists and think every interaction they had with their child is all they are ?
My experience is extremely similar. My mom is convinced that all trans men are just confused because its just a phase to her. She thinks her experience is everyones experience.
I would never say I know my trans son better than him but I definitely knew he would be different long before he did lol.

Trust your gut, thats the best piece of advice I can give, if it makes you happy and you arent hurting anyone then what does it matter. I have always told my son that no matter what as long as he is happy and safe that is what matters most, even if it meant disregarding his fathers comments. The first time my son shaved his head my ex was not happy. My son told me he didnt care what his dad said cuz he liked his hair and it made him happy.

when I came out to my mom, we were outside along with my brother who was talking to her about something personal, so I thought that this was my chance. I talked and she listen while nodding, when I was done speaking, the first words she said to me were "No matter what, we will always love you" that is also the same thing my dad said when I was in the ER, I told him and he looked me in the eyes and said "No matter what I still love you, we all still love you" I felt good about myself afterwards.

I came out to my my mum last night and she got really pissed and said “no, your my daughter, no one will accept you” and shit, I just cried so much and I didn’t even sleep. I want to try again or maybe tell my dad since he’s very supportive but I’m still scared. Anyone got any tips?

my daughter just came to me a few weeks ago and told me she wanted to be a boy. At first I said I didn't care you're my child as long as you're happy I'm happy. But I find myself not wanting to call the doctor or prepare for that process. She is 16. I know that she's probably ready to start the process. She finally had enough courage to tell me. And I can't seem to move past Step 1 and start helping. What can you say to me to help me understand? Help me stop being stuck.

Andrea Ijames First of all I'm so happy that you're supportive. Even though you don't feel like you're ready to call a doctor, you eventually have to. You could start with calling a gender therapist and start that process, who could talk to your kid but also help you understand more. Watch videos that other parents have posted and contact them. Maybe you could ask your kid about different kinds of resources. Let your kid express itself the way it wants in terms of clothes, hair, a binder, pronouns and a name. Start with the social transition. I hope you will continue to support your kid and maybe, when you understand all of this yourself, you could help other parents understand.

I recently came out to my best friend, and he totally supported me, he even gave me a hug the next day.. He was so supportive, and he still is. All my friends (who i came out to) told me they were gonna be there for me all the way through.. and i am so happy, one of my friends even asked me if i wanted to be called out with male pronounces.. and i couldn't stop smiling at that qeustion, but i said;
"no no, you can call me by my birth name for now.."
And she told me i needed to tell her once i wanted the male pronounces..
If i had a guy tell me that he is actually a FTM Trans guy.. i would jump into a hug attack and smile the next 48 hours.. 🙈 Sam you literally saved my life here, if i didn't find you.. i wouldn't have come out to all my friends, i would probably be miserable and going against me will for the rest of my life, but now that i came out to *almost* everyone.. i'm happy, i have faith.. and i seem to smile and also laugh more.. i can't wait untill i'm on Pre-T and T next.. 😇

I literally came out on the phone because my Mother lives three hours away from me and so I told her and she goes "you're my only girl..." and then the conversation went into awkwardness and she doesn't call me by the boy name I want to be called.... but IDGAF truthfully
My feet aren't small-small, but I'm at that weird in-between place where boys shoes won't fit and men's are hard to find in that small of a size; 6-7. If it were socially acceptable and not such a problem to businesses, I'd be barefoot all the time.

Honestly coming out to my mom couldn’t have went better. I was so scared. I told her we needed to talk about something and I say her down, then I panicked and said I changed my mind. After a minute of silence she said “is it LGBT related?” I said yes, and then she said “are you trans? Is that what you wanted to tell me” and I said yeah, she hugged me and I cried. I mean... with my Dad it went kinda bad but I’m glad my Moms such a huge supporter ♥️

Annoyingly, everyone calls me she/her and my real name (Poppy) and i hate it. I have come out once already to my parents and brother as queer and my parents told me to focus on my GCSEs and schoolwork and forget about how I’m feeling...which obviously i cant. My brother tells me i am a girl and will always be one and i guess he doesnt accept me.

My dad actually took it pretty well. My mom was upset at first, but the more the thought about it, the more it made sense because of things I’ve said and done in the past. My brother didn’t come around for three years and he’s still not there yet. Immediate family is the hardest. I was lucky enough to have a brand new job after I came out so I didn’t have to switch any pronouns to bosses or anything. Cost me a lot of interviews potential jobs, for sure. I owe Red Robin for giving me that start in life and giving me a chance to prove myself in a work environment.
