I learned "Father Charles Goes Down And End Battle" which kind of works both ways ("Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles' Father") and can be useful for the flats 😉
Omg. Circle of fifths on the 5th day! 🤯
This is a very good explanation of how that Circle of Fifths is getting built. Thank you for such a clear explanation and that acronym Fat Cows Go Down And Eat Bread
You make learning so accessible. Im so thankful to have your resources. Thank you!
I finally understand. Thanks Bernadette ❤❤❤ Noone ever explained why it's called the circle of fifths 😮😮😮
Best music theory instructors in the West and East respectively: You & Gracie Terzian. She literally has a circle of fifths clock available.
I love Gracie!!! I met her 5 years ago in a ukulele fest and saw her again this year :) She's incredible

Thanks, Bernadette! I joined your Patreon account and your printouts are very very helpful!
Awwww!!!! Thank you so so much!! ❤️🥰
That’s the reason the Circle of Fifths is helpful, lol
Another great instructor Gracie Terzian has the Circle of Fifth clocks for sale.
This is so cool 😎 ❤
Interesting - I learned my Circle of Fifths in Band which starts with Bb scale - we would start there, drop to the minor (Gminor) then drop again to the next major scale (Eb), drop to Cminor, then continue adding a flat each time (Ab next with 3 flats), then coming round the bend and dropping sharps until we get back to Bb!
so I know that string instruments and Orchestras play with sharps, concert bands play with flats, so maybe that is why I learned the way I did. We did by memorizing - but today I finally learned why it was called Circle of 5ths!
Thanks!
Love you lesson just don’t know how it fits into playing the ukulele?
I'm trying to learn but how do I know what is an F 'sharp' on the white board (or the piano?) and what is just a plain F. What does the F or F sharp stand for?
When I look at the table in column (table day 5) I see E# and B# .. I'm confused (maybe I missed domething) ....... do E# and B# exist
Why does the F on the circle of 5ths have 6 sharps? TIA
Paid for pdfs from music theory but cannot find my download?
