Hi, I was surrounded by music, n wanted 2 learn piano, violin but gave up due 2 lack of time n $, instead gave my daughter the opportunity, she plays piano ( drove me to nearly strangulation stage, as she didn't want 2 practice)😂 , guitar, drums
Anyway, now @ 68 I fell in love with the Uke and I'm determined to get my act together 😅
I ❤ ❤❤ yr video, it's simple, you get straight, into it , no BS. Thank you

I grew up playing classical violin but couldn’t grasp chords because it’s so different when you grow up reading sheet music. I practiced with you the last few days and I could hear the same chords in the music on radio it was almost like the ukulele was in the car 😂 great way to present the basics. I’m subscribed and on Patreon. I would love to do some Christmas music with my kids this December!

Hi Bernadette. I started your videos during covid and played every day but one for a year and a half. Then we got a puppy and my schedule was totally thrown off. (I know I shouldn't blame it on her, but it is her fault!) Anyway, I am happy to be back. I started with this video as a little review and I think it worked nicely. Thank you so much for being here. I've missed my ukulele practices and I plan to make sure I practice daily again. And luckily, my puppy thinks I'm awesome!

Absolutely GREAT SONG & GREAT LESSON
I have been playing for just turned one year. I can play all of it except the strum for the G7. So, I replace the strum on G7 with four quick D U as I saw on another tutorial.
Still sounds good. I wish I could get the chuck added in. But, I still can't chuck when I play a song, only sometimes in practice in isolation.

Ohhh I'm so glad you posted this!! Love all these. So many great songs in one video. Next summer, a camping group that I'm in is having a "glampout" and they picked the theme for the weekend. It is going to be luau/ island themed. Most of these songs would be perfect for the theme to play around the campfire. Or maybe even on the main stage they are setting up for live entertainment, if I feel confident enough.
Another simple song that uses these chords is "The tide is high" CCFG over and over again verse and chorus. Strum with the D DU pattern used in the tutorial.

9Apr2024 - Hi Bernadette, my cousin started teaching herself to play the ukulele the last few weeks and it reminded me I also had a ukulele I’ve never played before. Last night I pulled my ukulele out of its storage bag and spent a long while trying to tune it and then learnt 3 chords: C and G7 and F. This morning I googled how to play ukulele and came across your 1 hour video as well as this video and just finish watching it and so loved it. I can’t wait to go home and try some of these songs. I’ve never played ukulele before but this video has inspired me to practice and learn more. Watching from Australia. Thank you.

At last something I can use! Elderly lady in London England with severe arthritis in my hands. I have tuned my uke to an open c and am using a slide on the frets so can only play songs with major chords. Can’t press the strings individually with my fingers. I.e. Dreams is perfect for me. How can I print the words and chords for me to follow? Quite happy to pay. I also note you use a capo to make it higher. It’s a bit too high for me, how do I adapt it to make it lower for me (I’m a lower alto). Thanks in advance.
