With vidcon having just happened i thought it would be a good time to talk about how we're running the channel and that stuff, especially with all of the latest drama going on with other youtubers. I just want to do my best to keep you guys informed and ready to watch each and every video

It's the opposite. If you don't get negative comments and critizm then you are doing something wrong. It's when there is silence that you have to start worrying, And you have to love yourself Boogie regardless if no one in the world loves you. Being concerned, worried, and altering your behavior due to that 10 percent negative crap may be a reflection of you being neglected by your mother. We carry our baggage from childhood into adulthood and deep down you may still be trying to get the attention you deserved but didn't get when you were a boy. Try to start to love and accept that boy. It's hard to do and I'm working on accepting me but it does take a lot of work.

he logically knows that because he is a smart man but the boy inside him wants acceptance and if he gets the trolls acceptance he can subconsciously gain his mother's acceptance that he never got. The human brain is ffffffd up and plays tricks on us all the time.

Boogie, after being subbed to you for years, I have fallen in love with this channel all over again during the last 6 months or so. For about a year prior I rarely watched your stuff anymore, I just wasn't interested. However, more and more channels and people being exposed for their own shady self-serving reasons, and it made me find a new respect for you. You're a genuinely good human being, and we begin to take that for granted, until you see all the nasty people in this community and it makes me realize how lucky we are to have you. It's so refreshing to be back enjoying your videos.

@Jack, because a lot of channels who do "product placement" &/or "advertise or show" a particular item to get extra money, they get a bunch of shit, are called "sell-outs" &/or lose subs!!! People are jealous & rude!!😐. Sad, but true.

Not intending this to be negative Boogie, but I want to explain a little my feeling on you putting more focus on Twitch than TH-cam.
You see, some of us (like me) just aren't really interested in video game streams. And they have a tendency to soak up a lot of quality TH-camrs who have discovered how easy it is to transplant your audience once you've established it. Obviously playing video games is more fun than making videos, so I don't blame you for going down that road if it earns you just as much money as producing TH-cam videos. But it's just like us losing yet another good TH-camr to Twitch streaming.

You do you boogie. You got where you are, because of what YOU did... not because of what someone told you to do. Honestly, I've never understood why someone changes their channel, because of what people say, or because of the numbers on youtube.
Try not to let the numbers drive your content. There are other variables, which could result in lower numbers. It could be because of a holiday, or sway in interest, or they just got lazy(or forgot), and didn't hit the like. Even if you're getting likes, it should still be worth doing, because someone in your audience is enjoying it.
I started watching, because of the positivity, and a bit about the social/gaming news. Keep that up, and I'll always be subscribed

Boogie, don't refuse money because you're afraid of negative backlash from the 10% that's always negative. This is your job, your source of income. If somebody working at McDonalds was told they could have $500 for standing outside advertising a new burger, you bet your sweet ass they'd do it. Personally i like all of the videos that show you as a true human being, you just being Steven Williams.
I am 54 and i had a very rough and violent childhood too. My body mass index ( 38.9) might not be as high as yours, but i know how it feels, when the urge of getting any kind of solace and satisfaction through eating is taking over.
When i saw your "Draw my life" video, loads of bad memories came up and i needed at least 2 packs of tissues. But i also felt with you and felt, that i am not alone in coping with my past. I thank you for that.

Though I don't watch your videos very often (Mostly because I have no time and a lot of subscriptions), you always come across as very genuine and kind.
Tailoring your content by what people don't like is the best way to sink your channel. I'm speaking experience. Many years ago I had a successful TH-cam channel that was beginning to make me good money. And of course, with popularity comes fame. Annd, with fame came the hate. 6 months into my TH-cam channel I had to quit because it began to affect me personally because of how indescribably rude and hurtful people can be.
Your "State of the Channel" has really inspired me to try giving it another shot, but this time ignoring and filtering out the hate. So, thank you for that! :) And, good video as always :)

Your distinction about "news" vs "drama" is well made. What gets lost far too often in the social media sphere is the simple point that it's _your_ channel and your judgement of the lines on that sort of thing is ultimately the one that should matter most to you.

Your mind and your consciousness are separate. Simple breathing meditations, where you focus on your breathing and will eventually silence the mind and embrace your spirit/consciousness.

Man I love your channel, I love your set decoration, I love your input on topics and your lighting setup. About the only thing I don't like is the color of the paint on the walls, but hell that would be a stupid reason not to keep watching your videos. People are too negative about everything. I think its an over saturation of available content. It makes people expect too much, and it makes people demanding, as if they have any bearing on how you or anyone else makes their content. I'm not going anywhere, I'm going to keep watching so long as you keep posting, and I'm going to keep slapping the thumbs up button because I want your videos to be seen by as many people as possible.

I don't watch much of your videos (although I still watch more of this channel than anyone else's), but I can tell you right now I hate drama. It definitely sucks and puts me in a bad mood 99% of the time. Drama is usually bad I feel, because it can very easily be delivered in a depressing way. But you are the exception. You bring a very lighthearted, open-minded and just pleasant view to almost anything I'd consider drama.
To put it another way, when you disagree with someone there is a gauge of how tough it is to continue respecting them as a person. Generally you can do it, but there is a level of effort that ends up taking a piece out of the connection you had with the person. You are one of, if not the most, easily respectable person I've come across, even if I were to disagree with you.
I hope things work out for the best. As for ads, couldn't care less about them if it means a more comfortable life for you and your family. Just a stranger on the internet and what not, but I hope it can mean something :D

How the fuck can ANYONE not like boogie?
I don't comment on videos often, but I feel this is nessecary. Boogie I don't always absolutely love, and adore the topics you put out, but whst I do love is your personality. The personality we get to see in your videos is why I watch you. You don't seem to play it up at all except for maybe your tone. You seem genuine as some can be in a well edited video. One where you point isn't lost, and you don't lose who you are in them. I just hope you keep doing what you want, and not as much as what other people want. I will most likely never know how bad is for you sometimes. Just know that one more person likes you, and doesn't care what you make. When you messed up I saw how I always, and still react to my own mistakes. So never feel bad for your mistakes, because everone makes bad decisions in the eyes of the people.

In addition to being funny, you simply have gifts related to oration and critical thinking. You're great at explaining complex issues with clarity, without sacrificing objectivity, or your own opinion. I would listen to your podcast if you chose to produce one. If you do decided to do more Francis Videos, could you try to add some new characters or bring back the old characters you've used before because I think that would prevent people from getting sickened of your Francis videos. Not to mention that as you said, this channel here is a channel of variety and it would be good to have variety with the characters.

I think even 10% negative is being generous. It's more like less than 2%. I mean look at this video. At the time of writing, over 34,300 likes as against 630 dislikes. It's simply down to the fact that, as you say, negative people can be vocal, and lets be honest, people do focus on negativity sometimes. Look at reviews of anything you like on the Internet, on Amazon wherever. There'll be a disproportionate number of negative reviews as compared to the ratio of people who loved whatever it is to those who didn't. It's just the people who liked it are just quietly enjoying it whereas those who don't are frothing at the mouth to the degree required to stab out a vicious comment. That's all it is. You're awesome Boog, keep doing what you're doing. You can't avoid the negative comments on the internet. Even if there's genuinely nothing to complain about, someone will, even if only because they're bored and have nothing better to do. Don't let them get you down. :)

Dude this is your business. this is how you make your living for your family. any flight or game you pay for, and anything you pay for out of pocket yourself should be documented and written off for taxes. get a good account for one. I do think you are doing a great thing by telling your subscribers when you are sponsored by someone or something. but you don't have to say much else. I know you may feel obligated to do so at this time, but only sponsored videos need to be acknowledged by you and passed on to your subscribers. you also need a lot more write off's from just the videos I've seen this year. buy more video equipment, a new computer, laptop, a backup laptop, like 3 go pro's, extra cords and batteries. you can write off all that for taxes and get it back a the end of the year. only trying to help. like your videos.

Boogie, make the videos that you want to make. You should enjoy work and not avoid content that 10% of viewers don't like. You cannot please everyone, and in fact some people just get joy from being negative with others. I try to watch everything you put out, am I into everything, no but I always give a thumbs up because you took the time to put together high quality content. I even find myself enjoying the Magic unboxings and I don't even play... Why? Because the joy and excitement really comes through in the content that you're making.
