You mentioned not putting grease on the thread for the castle nut, is loctite OK there? Looking to prevent seizing!

i personally wouldn't use anything. yes you dont want it to seize but you dont want it to come loose. ive never seen anyone use lock tight

Great video , do you use a specific tie rod removal tool for the mx5 mk1 or is a generic off the shelf tool ok or can you recommend one please?

there are many tie rod tools out there, this one is a little more expensive but i use it every day, it will do 90% of tie rods.
most tie rod tools that you can get off the shelf will do the mx5 tie rods

I will note here the power stearing and none power stearing racks for the mk1's do use difrent threads for where the tie rods attach to the rack make sure you get the correct ones everyone or will be alot of head scratching 😂😂
