That's very encouraging, Romney. However, you don't say how you managed to get great sales straight out of the gate. Was that simply with Amazon ads? Is the answer in 7 Steps which I have just downloaded?

I've found the launch strategy to be critical in gaining early reviews and consistent sales. Amazon Ads certainly helps and overtime, developing a 'launch team' of 15-20 customers that will help kick off the book sales and reviews. It does take time to build this team though but it is well worth it.

Not sure how you are getting $439 a month even at 4 books a day at $11.99 list price, you don't get the list price only get the royalty which is usually less than half the list price right? Just started doing this myself and books that I set a price of $7.99 the royalty (the actually amount you get when you sell a book) is usually little over 1$. so not sure if I'm doing something wrong :(

It all depends on your book size, page numbers etc on the author royalty. My book my be priced at $11.99 and I only have 30 pages however, you might have a book at 100 pages at the same price and in a 8.5 x 11inch size, therefore your royalty per book will be a lot less than mine.

For practicality wise, I would recommend the 8.5 x 11" trim size.
