Just picked up my 1st RC car ever at 54 years of age on 12/18/2022. I have the same model and saw this mod on the TH-cams and instantly subscribed. I will be checking out your older videos
Welcome to the Hobby. It took me a while too but I haven't regretted a moment. I love it. Just got my first Traxxas TRX4 (my first top dollar crawler) and I see why people pay the extra money. ITS AMAZING. Fully waterproof. Locking/unlocking differentials. 2 speed transmission. It's great. I love my mini crawlers too!!!
@@RoadsideRC Thanks for the quick reply. I am new to all this RC stuff and have been doing a ton of research (which is how I found your channel). I just got the RC6GS because of its long range and just ordered the Everest 10 because of its price point and great reviews. This is all for an FPV project using a Wyze Cam V3. My Wyze camera works over Wifi and I have boosted the signal out to about 900 meters from my Starlink router. The ultimate goal is to have a long range RC crawler /rover that can also run autonomously.
Hi there! I had a Ridgerock for awhile as well. They are certainly fun trucks - but has some major drawbacks and limitations as well. They are also hard drawbacks to overcome without serious surgery on the truck...and the aftermarket companies have ignored it. Both of these trucks can be fun ways to start in RC crawling, and I am glad you are having fun with the Ridgerock.
I have the RadioLink RC6GS v3. Motor is the Hobbywing Fusion quickrun SE 1800kv. How do i setup a switch to control rear steering on the E10? I also saw a video and a guy put a small wheel on the VR knob on the radiolink would you know which wheel would fit?
The 1080 is a great ESC however imo the 1040 in the e10 is pretty smooth. I bound my radio to the 1040 and plugged the rear servo into channel3 on the factory radio.
Hey, great video. I was wondering if you could help me bind my transmitter with the Hobbywing Fusion quickrun SE 1800KV. I have the same radio that you got. I'm using a 2s 5100 mAh 70c 7.4v lipo. I have a 3s 5200 mAh 80c 11.1v on the way.
Good news - there isn't any binding between a controller and an ESC. The controller only binds to the receiver it came with. The ESC then needs to be calibrated to the controller so it knows what is idle, full throttle, and reverse. Have you got that part?
@@RoadsideRC that is what I need help with is setting up the transmitter to work with the Hobbywing Fusion quickrun SE. I am getting ready for bed. I will follow you and if you don't mind sometime tomorrow will you help me with that?
I have the Hobbywing installed and the transmitter is work but the settings in the remote need to be tweaked some and I don't know which ones to mess with. I'm running a 2s lipo 7.4v
I really enjoy my E10. I took the lower spring mounts off and let the springs ride on the axles. It is an inexpensive way to lower your rig. Looking forward to your future videos with mods on the E10. It is an under-rated little truck.
Ah the Everest 10. About equal to the Axial Ax10 I think. Pretty nice early gen crawler. What a great donation to the channel. I think it has found a great home.. ;) Big surprise know but I have the Ax10 and one thing that can be a little tricky is running wires so they dont get caught up in anything.. Looks good Troy. Thanks for sharing. She crawled pretty decent as well.. :)
If you want overdrive throw an element transmission in it. You’ll have to either drill new holes in the skid plate or get a Vader skid plate for about $20.
@@RoadsideRC I’ve had an E10 for about 3 years now. It was my second ever crawler and it’s definitely an under rated rig. If you have any questions about it let me know.
@@RoadsideRC tires would help alot I think . From the way it looked . I think there's options for those other axles in there . Not sure. I've put lead weight on inside of front wheels before . Helps . Glad that worked out .

Will the Radiolink RC6GS work with the stock ESC that comes with the Everest 10?
Yes it will!

Sounds like a crazy cool project!
But sorry to say I have had the Everest 10....the Danchee ridgerock totally beats it... And no modifying necessary

You can add rear steer with that controller in the same way I did in this video. I am not sure what knob can fit.

Both are good!
Hey Troy, are you running any wheel adapters or extension on this rig ? If so could you give me some information on that
I ran a large wheel hub offset - no hex adapter or extension - those tend to break things.
Do I need a new remote to install rear steering??? Will the stock remote work?
Yes, you will need a new remote to independently control it.
U got a sub. Don’t know why I like your stuff yet . We will see
Thanks!
So just buy another front axle to put on the rear to make 4 wheel steer?
You actually don't have to. It has almost all of the parts there already. Just need the linkage.
what an awesome upgrade my friend can see how useful 4 wheel steering is
*thumbs up👍Au😎the full watch👀*
It really is!

@M-vf7pn OK - in this video, I show a full setup. Hopefully your issue is in there.

@@RoadsideRCto be honest that video didn't say anything about programming the radio link RC6GS V3 to a Hobbywing Fusion quickrun SE.

Very cool Troy. Gotta love 4ws. Just got a 4ws capra.loving it.
Awesome! I bet that Capra is a blast!
I lowered my E10 also changed the tires, 4ws and various motors.....great inexpensive rig
Awesome! More to come on this one!

That is a nice way to get some height out of it. Thanks!
Man that crawler course is amazing man! Kudos to you brotha! Hope to have something that that soon
Go for it!
Just build it piece by piece!

More coming on this truck, and then I plan to give it away. Should be fun!
@@RoadsideRC THAT is a fantastic idea... :)
in my opinion the gt5 is the best 4 wheel steer controller there is it just works great
It probably is better than this Radiolink. I wanted to try this for some other reasons also.
cool 4 wheel steering and nice crawling
Thanks!

It is fun! Wait until I start modifying it!
Rich B gives, Rich D steals!
It works well that way!
Very cool ...! i learned something new about that radio .
Glad to help.
