I have a Redcat Everest 10 with all the upgrades I can do almost . 4 wheel steering works great . Cut the tires! makes a 100% difference . Cut every other tread on the sides off Also cut the treads on the middle of the tires off Every other one . The ones that look like a L shape . Cut all them off . Trim off the part that sticks out when you turn the wheels all the way . Look very close and you can see it . The part that hits the screw on the whole axle assembly . Trim off both on the front and both on the back . DON'T waist your money on new tires .
Nice work. Having rear steering really does make a huge difference. The mod looks simple enough and you did a great job showing us how to accomplish that. I have bought quite a few of the cheap servos off of Ebay and they seem to hold up well. Thanks for sharing this cool truck. Such a great value for the price.
I Just bought myself a everest 10 and I was curious of a 4 wheel steer upgrade. Thank you for such a good video of how to do it perfectly, gladly subscribed and I hope you post more videos of good stuff like this! 🤙🤙
Amazing video! Needs more view for sure, well done, good angles. Phenomonial, everything I needed thank you so much. On a side note: Do you by chance know if any of these parts are compatible with the Danchee Ridgerock?
Hey bro this is actually a really good crawler there first two hobby grade RC trucks I ever got years ago was this truck and the redcat volcano. I put super long wheel spacers on the Everest seems like it would go anywhere!
I ran a y cable and signal reverser. Then put the rear servo on a switch w/ lockout linkage for when it's off. I can swap between 2 and 4 wheel steer just reaching down to the truck. This way I didnt have to buy a 4 channel trans receiver setup.
I dont know. Not that I know of. Most budget controllers dont have extra functions. Look into something like a Flysky controller. Those are usually pretty cheap for what they are.
Hi, thanks for sharing,…can you advise if there are alternatives to less exp option for spectrum 5xc bundle that will have special switch to navigate rear wheel separately at transmitter ?
ive already ordered all the parts i need for both mine and my sons E10's. my question is, are both types of screw 3x10mm with one being countersunk and the other button top?
I dont know off the top of my head and I dont remember! I have a cat in my lap and he wont let me up. I should have covered it in the video. If I didn't, then you shouldnt need anything extra.
@@outsourcedrc no worries. Went out and purchased both types in 3×10mm and they worked for their intended purpose perfectly. My son was nice enough to let me borrow his lower front links and servo steering arm so I could make mine 4 wheel steering and he will get all the new parts when they come in.
@@outsourcedrc yeah. We are into it deep now. Lol. Bought 2 more crawlers since my last reply. An axial scx10 II and an enduro trailmaster with independent front suspension. May have also won a custom land rover d90 from rc4wd. My fleet is slowly but surely building up! Lol also found a local indoor crawling space. Look for Crawler Space RC here on TH-cam. He only has a few videos on here but it gives you an idea of the size of his facility. While not huge it does have multiple levels and all sorts of various types of terrain and bridges.
@@Harley73 Thats awesome! If you have a place to run them, crawlers are awesome trucks. Just think, I thought they would be my least favorite and they turned out to be some of my favorite RCs to drive.
Thats all it is. It stores power so that if there is a surge needed from the RC all of a sudden, it comes from what is saved up in the capacitor. Thats sorta whats going on.
@@outsourcedrc Do you have to factor in the amp demand of both servos before plugging them the RX? Planning to mount 2x 25kg 7v servos that draw a max of 3.5a each -- because my rig also has LED rear lights and an LED light bar, i'm worried the amp draw from both servos might add up to fry the BEC and ESC (Quicrun 1080 built-in BEC supplies 3a max at 7v). Or should I power both servos independently and directly from the 3S lipo (using 2x 5amp adjustable buck converters to knock the battery's 11v down to a steady 7v)....?
@@kkhalifah1019 I do not know. I havent added any lights or anything to mine. I've put many hours into it and I havent had a single issue. I'm not sure how it would do if you run the lights from the RX as well.
Outsourced RC lol I have a bit of an idea , just getting into it myself and editing can be a major process and I only have an iPhone to edit at the moment
Nice. The lower 4 link suspension arms are what you originally had on there. You replaced them with "high clearence suspension links. In the video you referred to the links as "these". Tom
Yeah but they were just labeled "side links." I tend to forget names of things as soon as I hit record lol. Some times I have to do like 5 takes because I forgot the name of something.
hey guys and gals, save $ 15 on 18084 part !!!!!! the rear side bars are the same length as front. Just use a hand held tube bender and put the bend in them to match the front and good to go. YOUR WELCOME.
You seem really familiar. Have you ever been to Chauncey Ga.? If so, hmu on messenger. I try to stay in touch with as many of those guys as I can. 🤫 If not my bad.

Very thorough video. I just ordered this truck today and it’s exactly the setup I wanted to do. Very detailed. Thanks!
Thats awesome!
Clear and concise, you should train other TH-camrs how to do instructional videos.
lol thanks. I'm not sure how well I do them sometimes. I just do the best I can.

Thanks! When I have time. I'm always super busy.
I received a E10 this morning and looking forward to this mod. Very cool video, thanks for sharing.
I just got this truck today ..great video u made it look easy...soon I'll do the same!! Thanks
I’ve always wanted a four way steering vehicle. It looks fun. Thx for the video.
I have a couple. They are neat. Sometimes hard to get the wheels aligned.
That crab walk thing was pretty cool. I never thought of that, allways just ran a y spliter. I may have to try that out.
yeah. That helps a lot when I am out crawling with it. I use a y splitter on my Clodbuster.
Nice video man thanks for the info I have the four wheel steering kit coming in a couple days for mine. Looking forward to trying it out.
Great job one of the best videos love it waiting for more mods..... TY 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

Great video Outsourced ,do you know if i can do this to my gen 7 sport
I dont know. I dont know much about that RC.

I steer the rear wheels while I'm crawling. It would be super inconvenient for me to do it your way.
TheOtherWhiteBread0 I’d go fs gt5 6 channel myself but yea that’s the proper way
Love the 4w steering change. Where did you find those parts? Love my E10 but hate the steering at stock.
I just got them online. Amazon or Ebay.
Post a video on how you set up the remote
Pleaseeeeee!
hello nice thorough.. are there any budget controllers you recommend that have the four wheel control, walk ,reverse, lock like yours? ?

what size screw is on the left rear? Trying to find a smaller size
I want permanent 4ws would I need a Y connector to use both servos on one channel
Yes
Can you give us some info on which glitch buster you used , where available?? Thanks
Its been so long I have forgotten. I got it from my local hobby shop.
front servo and rear servo using different channel or one channel? both running simultaneously or can be used only one?
Different channels. I have to use each by them selves
Nice whip great video
How has this truck held up? Im interested in getting one
Fine for me. I take it out every once in a while. I let a lot of new people drive it. It's very basic in it's design and that makes it pretty tough.
AWESOME video!!!
Thanks!
7:22 - What is a glitch buster? Looks like a capacitor. And what does it do? Will I need it on my Flysky FS-GT5 and FS-BS6 6-channel receiver set-up?

Will the four wheel steer work with the stock remote ?
If you have a gt3b you can mod it to support 4ws even with 3 channel receiver. Look up gt3b custom firmware.

What remote did you get to do this?
Around how much you think you spent to modify?

Clicka clicka clicka no good better tied into y harness
Can you please list everything you purchased with a link so I can purchase as well?
I agree and I want to know how to set that remote up
