And yes I was at this show in 1981! Front row to the left...! Damaged one ear there...it was so f....ng loud....! But a great show! We met the drummer Stefan K. after the show!!!
Excellent concert! The boys were full of energy! I have been a ACCEPT fan for nearly 33 years. First album I heard 'Restless & Wild'. I met Udo, Peter Baltes, Herman Frank and Gaby! Metal Rules!
When I was young my older brother had a poster wit 2 crossed flyin V guitars and superscription - Accept. There were a many tapes of accept. In that time Accept was the most popular, best and the most important HM band for as. Now when I'm 40 Accept is. still best and no 1 bandWhhich created ours minds. Thans from Poland from Tarnobrzeg and all the best for Germans !
Well, nice to see this here...! I've filmed this with a shitty VHS-Camera but HEY..!! I'ts a time document and I still like it. It was the very first ACCEPT concert in Switzerland
Crown Kocher great job and many many thanks for this amazing document ...I love breaker album in my opinion is the first record with their definitive sound they became the Accept we all love ( I really do) with breaker ...absolutely their best album with restless and wild im my opinion ...and let me say here in this amazing show with their amazing good sound..they were a terrific war machine ..mind blowing...amazing band and supernatural udo...they deserved way more than they get...
Accept kicks ass!! Always have and always will!! Even Udo's band Dirkschneider with his son Sven on drums is bringing back all the old Accept classics and doing a fine ass job of it!!

'Shitty VHS camera' my ass! Looks and sounds f*kking amazing for 1981! What a great band and show! I saw them the same year on an obscure pop festival in Baarle Nassau (or Baarle Hertog???). Herman Brood was headlining! Accept was my very first hard rock/metal show. Unforgetting!
Piece of history. Saw them in 1983 on Restless tour. Still the best live show I've ever seen. The energy was insane. Opened with fast as a shark. Seen them about 6 times since. They never dissapoint.
in 1991 i saw judas priest, alice cooper, motorhead, dangerous toys, and metal church, great outdoor show, that one probably came your way. saw armored saint in the 80s, they have some heavy tunes, saw helloween, in 1985 i saw accept, krokus, and rough cutt, it was supposed to be loudness instead of rough cutt, but they pulled out to go on tour with motley, my friend and i were not happy, but at least we saw loudness a few months before at the club. flotsam and jetsam was great also...
i saw alit if those bands in diff years older. saw krokus in 85 open for sammy hagar. maiden priest 82 in ny Dio in ny in dc in frederick many gigs tours, saw antheax in 87 balt metal church opened and so on.it was 100 degrees out august 3pm show.saw Trouble in balt 85 same deal 3 pm show.walked outa that 1 blasted on tequila
Superb capture, what a band. Remember them 'goose stepping' across the stage at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Great band, great songs and a great performance.
This,,,,, is INSANE!!! It's like seeing Van Halen on their first tour!! I mean, no one in the US ever saw UDO with long hair!!! Fucking Bitchin'! Awesome! Great!
This is a true Metal band, top notch. Them, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden with DiAnno ( both they're earlier stuff ) are among my favs. They ruled Metal then. Also add a few meaning Saxon, Def Leppard, and Motorhead of course.
Set List for this show.. Starlight Thunder and Lightning Do It Breaker Run If You Can Son Of A Bitch Midnight Highway Free Me Now W/Drum Solo Wolf Guitar Solo Sounds Of War I'm a Rebel Encore ------- Burning (Just Like Fire)
i saw the same thing, accept opening for kiss, i was just listening to budgie, the power supply album, some good stuff, and listened to samson shock tactics album, you must have that one, bruce dickinson's band before maiden, still one of my favorite albums, i saw cheap trick dream police tour, with the joe perry project opening up, always liked cheap trick, saw them again in 1981 with ufo and gamma opening, saw the firm in 1984, jimmy page and paul rodgers sounded great, the firm album was good
First of all Wolf Hoffmann played lead guitar (guitar) on all albums. Herman Frank on Balls, Jörg Fischer on Rebel, Breaker, Metal Heart and Russian Roulette .-)
venom is the band i have the most stuff, every venom was put aside for me at the store i mentioned, i got every venom the store got in, that was the best i could do, which was pretty well, maybe 50 different imports, picture discs, etc. i have the kiss comic book from 1977, i moved to south florida years ago, and left my records in my old room at moms house, they were to much to move at the time, one of these days i will drive them to florida, to heavy to ship, and i wouldn't trust shipping them
Guitars: Jorg and Wolf performed on 1-3, Restless is all Wolf (Herman is credited on the US/UK versions but didn't play), Herman contributed to Balls. Metal Heart and Russian is Wolf and Jorg again. Eat the Heat, Objection, Death Row, and Predator is all Wolf again. Drums: Besides Kaufmann: Frank only played on the debut album. Death Row and Access All Areas is 2x Stefans (both Kaufmann and Schwarzmann). Michael Cartilione (probably misspelled) on Predator.
WOW , thanks for sharing! at first, when I saw the title..I thought it would be some old audio boot. Nice video, of whole show. They were pretty big in Europe in 81 im sure..before they broke in the USA. I saw them on the Balls Tour 84, in a small club in Texas, that held about 500. They sound pretty tight here..great opener in Starlight.
OMG thank you for this upload.. UDO had hair!!!! lol love this era of their music.. wish they could release an official vid of this tour but I know it won't happen
i saw saxon denim and leather tour in february 1982, they opened for triumph at a two thousand seat theatre, fantastic, saw hanoi rocks in 1984, three months before razzle died in the car accident with vince, great gig at a small club. club shows were great! saw the vinnie vincent invation in 1988, Y&T was a great gig in 1987 i think, rainbow, scorpions, and riot in 1982, nice triple bill. nazareth in 1981, joe perry project a few times, always a good show, sword was fantastic, grim reaper yes
my local record store would save all the venom stuff for me and my friend, and when i went in the store, they had the venom albums behind the counter, so noone else could buy them. very small store with all the imports and bootlegs, it was beautiful. i have two witchfinder general picture discs, death penalty and friends of hell, a band i love but never came around. at the end of the 1984 fate show, king threw his black studded upside down cross gloves in the crowd and i caught one, thanks king.
on a lighter note, i saw bands like peter frampton in 1979, that was a cool show, saw the moody blues a couple times, i saw genesis and then there were three tour in 1978, that was a great show, i hate his solo stuff. the local radio station wbru was at the beach one day and was giving away genesis tickets, they said if anyone has a concert t-shirt we will give u the tickets, i went back to my blanket and got my alice cooper t-shirt and showed it to them and they gave me the tickets, good seats.
heavy metal is my favorite, but that didn't mean i didn't see some softer shows, that 1978 genesis show was fantastic, i saw supertramp in 1985 with stevie ray vaughan opening, great show, i saw jefferson starship modern times tour in 1982, another good one. phil collins solo stuff sucks, i have been a big robin trower fan for years, saw him in 1982, saw jeff beck as well, saw yngwie malmsteen a few times, he open for aerosmith in 1986 at sullivan staduim in foxboro, mass, nice afternoon show...

Excellent concert! The boys were full of energy! I have been a ACCEPT fan for nearly 33 years. First album I heard 'Restless & Wild'. I met Udo, Peter Baltes, Herman Frank and Gaby! Metal Rules!
Accept at their best. The music never gets old.
А эти самые дни я первый раз услышал ACCEPT. Было головокружение! Мне сейчас 50 и голова уже не болит!
This is one of the best shows ever. Period. These guys were ON FIRE.
Right, man!
大変貴重な映像です。真に感謝致します。
Почему сегодня не рождаются новые таланты, от современного металла плакать хочется
Потому что всё, что можно было в жанре сделать, уже сделано. Все идеи исхожены по 100 раз.
The song "Breaker"... that opening riff hit me so hard when I first heard it at age 13.... it still hits hard dammit
