This was the best lineup, the ORIGINAL
At this time 56 people came here and disliked this video. If you're looking up Motorhead live 1980 or whatever And you saw this and didn't like it... Why are you even here?
Anyone agree this 37 year old presentation is better than some bands in 2017? *puts hand up*
vntr2006 better than most
vntr2006 they wouldn't allow it today
Sad but true, Motörhead is timeless. New Bands fucking sucks...myself growing up with Lemmy, Philty and Eddie.
хаха,, what do you expect?!!!!,,THIS IS MOTORHEAD!!!,,not some pose wankers with guitars and shit painting faces!!!
Theres fuck of a market for rock and heavy bands these days..blame this fucking utube and google, fucking poker machines, overpopulation, fuck the voice and shows as such..thats fucking why.
All hail "Philthy Animal" Taylor! The king of the double bass drum!
This is the Theatre Royal in Nottingham and I’m somewhere in the audience. Happy days.
I was their too
Should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Eddie was the best Guitar Player for Motörhead !!!
Pure rock n roll right here. No big hair or make up or gimmicks. Just three sweaty dudes belting out some sick tunes.
No big hair? 😂😂😂😂

Na,ja musikalisch war Motörhead ich hab se 1982 gesehen nicht der Ohrenschmaus .Krawall nix für mich😅😅😅
Music with bullocks!
The proper line up, proper set list, the baddest band in the world. Saw them first time in 1980, last time in 2015. What the fuck are we supposed to do now, Lem?
You NEVER knew what loud was unless you were at a Motorhead show. NEVER.
What a killer performance 🔥🤘Fast &Loud and heavy
R.I.P. lemmy,eddie,phil
RIP Eddie. The entire original lineup passed away. Keep rockin' beyond this world!
This isn't the original line-up but it's generally accepted as the best line-up.
Rip ALL
Philthy animal at his prime was a BEAST
Indeed he was. His groove was totally original.
I saw this concert in 1980 and I have never forgotten it; still have little snippets of the songs in my head to this day. When it starts with Overkill no-one could quite believe it was so loud, like opening the door on a hurricane...awesome
If I could go back in time to a concert I would go back to see Motorhead and Waylon Jennings in 1980. I was only two when they played this.
Do you remember the support group called Tank. So much base the walks & seats were vibrating.
Bingley Hall Stafford OMG the speaker stacks were so loud nobody went near them!!!!
@tommyrotton9468 We sat right in the center of the balcony of a medium size venue one time. The reverb was so loud that it was making my stomach turn and I couldn't make out what song they were playing. Luckily I had some shooting ear plugs I brought for my wife. Must have been in that right spot for that to happen. Every Motorhead show we went to, at different venues, my ears would be ringing for days. So much fun at those shows!
@@Ruger44Redhawk It was Saxon who raped my eardrums like that. My first ever gig I ever went too. Good god my bloody ears!!!!
But at least back then you could afford to go to gigs even on a low income, now the prices are just taking the p***
NOTHING COMPARE TO THIS.....NOTHING!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Best loudest three piece ever. These three blokes made life great.
i cant believe theyre all dead
@@monkeyliver1986 Wurzel Taylor LEMMY Eddie all pass in 8years of each other. 😢😢 😢 FRIEND
@@monkeyliver1986 , tristemente así es, brother ! 😓🤟
Ces mecs auraient normalemen🎉du vivre au moins encore dix ans. On meurt souvent avant la limite chez les musiciens de rock.
Wish I had a time machine! Would love to witness this in the flesh! Pure badassery all the way around!! And a few beers...
You certainly would have done. I saw them many times in the early days in places like the Marquee, Mornington Crescent, Roundhouse, Lyceum etc - and we always put ourselves flat against the speakers which were stacked up pretty high. You got that ear drum-damaging tingle and I am fortunately not yet deaf. I see people at live gigs now wearing ear plugs sometimes, and it's not even Motorhead. How the world has changed.
Best rock'n'roll band ever!
I first heard Motörhead in 1980. Saw the video for The Chase is Better than the Catch. It was at that moment that my musical life changed forever for better.
Eddy and Phill were by far the right guys for Motorhead.
couldn't agree more
+Piranga I love Fast Eddie and Phil Taylor(RIP) as much as you, but you gotta admit Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee were both pretty damn right for the job also, considering Campbell's been in Motorhead for 30+ years and Fast Eddie only lasted 5 (albeit, great) years.
+razorfistforce1 That's true. However, the golden years are always Bomber, Overkill, Ace or Spades and No Sleep.
+Piranga "Iron Fist" is pretty good and "Another Perfect Day" was a little different, but was still pretty decent compared to most crappola out their today.
metalreign81 Agree.
1980, before there was 🤘🏻 and 📱 .
Fast Eddie and Philthy were the best Band around Lemmy. No Lineup could beat this classic three piece dirty combination... RIP Classic Motörhead...
"We are Motorhead, and we play Rock 'n' Roll!"
i like when Lem was saying it little different in 90's: "We are Motorhead, and we ARE Rock 'n' Roll!"
He said that shit until he died
@Jack - deff not my style. Why to 'pop/indie' for me.
I like this version of overkill more than the new version Motörhead play today.
28 minutes and 30seconds in , is the most Rock and roll thing ive ever seen in my life.
And an audience with no mobile phones just enjoying the hell out of it
Rip fast Eddie, the Best motorhead guitar player
Shoot You In The Back with Original plays, Original players ❤️❤️❤️
I loved Wurzel & Campbell but honestly people this 3 will for ever stand alone and I feel privileged to have been front stage seeing this
Motorhead perfected the perfect heavy metal image by 1980 - the .308 bullet belts, leather jackets, cowboy boots, Iron Crosses and Wehrmacht SS patches. Killer look. Wish I could go back in time to see Motorhead and Waylon Jennings in 1980. I was able to hang out with Lemmy around 2004/05 when I showed up to a Motorhead concert really early. Went to the bar to order a whiskey and Lemmy walks up after playing pin ball games and sits next to me. We just talked and drank whiskey for a while.
Opening with Overkill. Em's were the days !!!!!
Philthy Taylor...the most relentlessly rockin' drummer of his day, always nails it live! So good to see serious headbanging in 1980...
Classic early MOTORHEAD! ive been listening to the 79-81 years a lot lately. What a great band . RIP all three.
Pre - Ace of Spades Motorhead, just about, fantastic!!
Oh Lemmy is moving on stage and saying things between songs, that's rare these days.
Still can't believe that they all are gone...
Gracias y saludos cordiales desde Mallorca para ti también tommnook
This line up is one of the greatest bands in rock and roll history.
Fast Eddie Clarke, so much better than his so called peers at time.
Only heavy band that ever mattered and this is the original and best line up ! MAGIC
Lemmy's playing the bass line as fast as the guitar line. Classic Lemmy. But I still think his apex was "Born To Go" with Hawkwind where he chased Dave Brock all over the song and most of the time he played the lead line, very rare for a bassist.
I was born just one day before this show was recorded.Long live Motorhead!

Metropolis and Bomber at very best...simply awesome...great
Great set list! Only thing better would've been if they had included Ace of Spades into the set.., imo.
Thanks, I love Metropolis
@@fredcollins8919they hadn't written it yet. Surprised to see Jailbait on the list must have been trying it out....
Eddie on Step Down is fantastic!! - the BEST Motorhead lineup!! 🎸💪👍💥💥
😂 If he was full on singing and not be looking down at his guitar. Yeah with the right kind of lessons he would have pulled it off.
A very pure voice.
petty kick ass for 1980 and for 2015!
+drheim1 As if what? 1980 couldnt rock?
My favourite Motorhead line up. R.I.P. Lemmy Eddie & Phil!!!!!
As great as Mikkey Dee, Phil Campbell, Wurzel, Pete Gill and Brian Robson were in their time with Lemmy in Motorhead... this is the Motorhead line up i was brought up with and love the most ... A kick ass power trio at the top of their game ....Fast Eddie , Philthy and Lemmy ...thanks for the up load ... cheers ...Love it

@Peter Very well stated. I was fortunate enough to get to see Mötorhead five times, including on Ace Of Spades tour with this classic lineup. Also saw them when they were a four piece with Phil Campbell & Wurzel, as well as with the later lineup consisting of Lemmy, Phil & Mickey three times. They were great everytime I saw them but there was nothing like that first time with Philthy and Fast Eddie- simply a force of nature to be reckoned with. Rest in peace to those three legendary musicians, I doubt there will ever be anything remotely close to them.
Mikkey 'Dee'? Great? You're joking.
Lemmy WAS Motorhead! There is no band without him!
Best line up for me
This is the Motörhead I grew up on...... I dont care for that they might stare,,,I know I musn't step down!
It's so bloody sad that none of these chaps are around no more to spread music to us. My first bought record in the real heavy music genre when I was 15 was No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith in -82. I played that poor record over and over. RIP mr Kilmister, mr Clarke and mr Taylor, and thanks for all the music. And as Lemmy has told us, the music industry mightn't been perfect back then, but way more creative with smaller record companies before everything was bought up by huge industries (and this was way, way before internet pirating, napster and stuff).
I came here to compare the stadium MH show I had been watching with the original classic line up. No competition. As competent as Mickey and Phil were they simply cannot hold a candle to this fierce hungry performance. God bless you Phil, Eddie & Lem for some of the most exciting records of my youth.
HUNGRY is such a fitting description
1982 Motorheadin keikka Lappeenrannan raviradalla oli todella kova ja märkä! Vettä satoi melkein vaakatasossa ja volume nupit oli kaakossa!
The atmosphere of Overkill is crazy I can’t explain it
It literally sounds like artillery fire and bombing rolls. What I would give to have seen this live at this point!
Shame the guitar goes out of time but wicked song
@@marksoftime Yes, a little oops moment there, but It almost adds the chaotic charm.
@@marksoftime fast Eddie said that sometimes on stage his ears would shut off and all he could hear was a weird buzzing sound so he’d have to look at Phil Taylor’s hands to try figure out where they were in the song

Yes kids, this is your fathers Motörhead!!!

Aye,52 and still Motorhead mad!!
Right on RIP Little Philthy . Motorhead forever. See you at the Rainbow January 9
What a fucking rocking machine!!!!!!
Such a raw, powerful sound.... and they weren't doing anything really fast yet.
Seems like they were speeding up toward the end though :)
I miss these guy so badly. Gone too soon.
Best lineup
The golden era.🔥🤘
The one and only 3-piece heavy Rockband, where the guitar solos never smear off. Because there is some BASS ♠♠♠
...Classic lineup at the height of their powers....well oiled rock machine !!!!....One of these years Lemmy's mole is gonna get big enough to pop and when it does....Lord have mercy........Peace......
We are Motorhead, and we play Rock 'n' Roll
The best line up of motorhead for me. Cause I am rock n roll
Can't believe all 3 have now left us. Motorhead RIP....
Now they are together again. Thank you Fast Eddie. You are the man.
The drumming is insanely good. Phil really was an animal.
Cracking drumkit
Incredible stamina and his grooves were just so damned good.
Yew wannt yew tuch hees peanus eet hees skrowtum
All the later thrash metal drummers loved his style, he was about half a decade ahead of everyone. He had that great old school swing / swagger. His drumming on Jailbait is crazy
Yes and better feel for the music than Mikkey Dee, too rigid and no swing.
THEY ARE MOTORHEAD. AND THEY PLAY ROCK N ROLL!
Ровесник моего отца. Какие судьбы разные. Мой отец со мной месяц не разговаривал, когда узнал что я слушаю рокн ролл. Теперь мне пятьдесят. Я 1974го. Это очень круто. Поклон всем троим золотой состав!
This is a real good noise
R.I.P Lemmy.We ll miss you
Good ole days,having a headbang.
Best line up ever
What a band, Sadly missed
The orignal Motorhead........Class
God speed, MOTORHEAD! We didn't forget, and NEVER will!
Lemmy went to HELL.
Lemmy and Motorhead. Will you ever read or hear any bad word about them? Respected by nearly everyone. Lemmy had this rough image but was a philospher and gentleman, a personality that was rare to find in this harsh times.
This is the original and best line up....1980, Bomber and Overkill albums were in shops and Motorhead were really starting to get some traction, this is around the time the Beast was born....
All gone now, but what an amazing legacy to leave behind. RIP Eddie, Philthy and Lemmy.
Unfortunately, I've never seen them and I'm far too young for the classic line-up. But their music still lives on vinyl, CDs and the internet. I've been a fan since I was 10 years old (now I'm 35) and I always will be. There is no such music nowadays and I fear, there will never be such music in this softy and hypocritical society again. So take what is left, turn up volume, treble and bass and sing motorhead at home, in ye car or anywhere else, louder than hell allows!!!
What's nuts is the fact I saw motorhead about 2 years before lemmy died. And they hadn't changed a thing. They still rocked, lemmy still had a black button up shirt tucked in and half unbuttoned. And he never really looked at the crowd
Motorhead forever
RIP.. Lemmy.. Animal... Fast Eddie! But not Motorhead! The best fucking band ever!
This is the real Motörhead, nothing else!
rip my 3 friends
Step Down tune reminds me of a Ted Nugent song.
If you are not a bigger Motorhead fan after watching this video than I can't help any of you! Lemmys stage presence is Fuckin' Incredible!!
I was there. The best lineup in my opinion.
Saw this tour and 3 others. You knew it was Moterhead when your ears buzzed for 3 days!!! Best memories RIP guys
i have seen motorhead 5 or 6 times, and every time it's great! i saw an outdoor jam in 1991, which was judas priest, alice cooper, dangerous toys, motorhead and metal church!! now kids of today, that is how u spent a afternoon of fun in the early 90s!
Superb.
THE LOUDEST - DIRTIEST - FILTHIEST Band on EARTH ! THANKS FOR THE AWESOME MUSIC !! RIPower LEMMY -PHILTHY -EDDIE !!! LIVE TO WIN - BORN TO LOSE
SEE YOU IN VALHALLA ! !! MOTÖRHEAD FOREVER !
The original Line Up at their Peak around 1980/81.the three Amigos.they we're and are still unbeatable.classic stuff.this is the only Real deal.RIP all three legends.why is this Not official on DVD together with the 1982 concert from Montreal of the iron Fist Tour? This we're Motörhead s glorious days.
Bjr, sûrement que c'est plus rentable de produire du Justin Biebermerde ou des rappeurs de fromage. Et pardon, le fromage par contre, c'est bon!. J'assume, pas de souci.
It's cool to see Lemmy with all that energy!..Back in the day.bounding around the stage..neat..I think he was in his 30's
I love the camera shots of the crowd going NUTS! I mean, people, literally, sweating while "banging their heads" and/or playing "air guitar" and/or "punching their fists in the air," and/or "belting out the lyrics, themselves." I'm "in the dark" as to WHY rock/metal crowds, TODAY, DON'T "get into the music" or "lose themselves in the music." In my opinion, those people must not be "real" fans. Today, UNFORTUNATELY, it's PRETTY MUCH, if NOT COMPLETELY, "ignore the music and stand there and tape the concert with your (high tech) gadget" or "stand there and look at the stage like it's a fast food menu."
Philthy brought me here...RIP
+namuroisvantjaar And Lemmy brought me here... RIP.
+namuroisvantjaar I had never believed those two comments ever come together till now ... My God, Rest in Peace
+namuroisvantjaar I am so sad , the band that save me everyday from depression does not longer exist..
