    This bike is highly addictive , I own two, disc and rim version, and I have ridden many carbons. For some reason, I prefer the Allez sprint over anything else. While it is categorized as a crit, I have done several +100km rides , including climbs and flats, and it still feels comfy. Few points to increase comfort based on owning these bikes for the past three years and thousands of KM's, get a really good tubeless set up (28c and able to run 65psi), saddle (ti rails) and carbon bars with something like supacaz tapes. These combined provide excellent vibration absorption. One the drive train front, 1X rocks on these bikes, I run absolute black ovals and for SRAM AXS flattop chains, Garbaruk aero chain rings...suggestions that take this frame to a Dope-level.

      sick build!!!! yea I have a bunch of guys who only ride this bike form the moment they first rode it. They made it there daily and I have done a couple 100 mile rides with them while they were on there and they had 28c tires on there, and once riding for so long there bodies will obviously adapt to the bike and it wont be such a big deal once riding more and more...... but yes I agree with how nice they are :))

    • @ace_cwk
      @ace_cwk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed on the tyre setup, I'm running 26mm clincher on alloy training wheels at 100 psi (yikes) , on long rides you do feel like being hammered.

      Hi thereI ride a 2007 928L Bianchi myself. But I'm looking for a race geometry yet not to expensive all around bike. I do long group rides and planning to race again. Do you recommend me this Allez Sprint? I would use 2x . Thanks in advance

    • @chiefrocker12
      @chiefrocker12 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aldrinclementina4297 I would suggest using geometrygeeks to compare your current bike to the allez. This way you can align the geometry and know how much different Geo you are going to be dealing with. Then start the build. Spend the extra money on good carbon wheels and tires. If you are looking for an all round bike, stay in the 40-55mm run depth, tubeless, or at least latex inner tunes. (tubolitos if you want to splurge). Need any more ideas, ping me here. Good luck

    Funny I said the same thing when I bought mine. People that love the Allez, LOVE them! People that hate them...HATE them, in fact they go out of their way to hate them I feel. BUT I think they make a ton of sense, they're strong, aero, easily customizable and really fun to ride. I would agree that my Allez Sprint is the last bike I'll need to buy complete...I'll probably buy the same frame if I ever need to.

    I own a 58cm black Allez Sprint. Use it mainly for KOM-sniping and fast rides. Super stiff bike. The money I saved buying an Alu frame I put into 88mm clinchers. It makes an already good looking bike even prettier. Highly recommended if you are on a budget.

      thats a preference problem right there, depends on what makes you feel most comfortable and what you think rides better for you

      That is like asking which one is better, rim or disc. There are pros and cons of each grouppo.

      For a 1x, I prefer SRAM etap because shifting is balanced between both hands.
      With a Shimano 1x setup, your right-hand does all the shifting. #carpaltunnel

    Would ya'll buy a fully built Giant TCR Advanced 2021 for $3650 or buy a Allez frame and build it up from scratch? The giant bike im looking at isnt electronic shifting but ive only used mechanical since my first and only bike is a Giant Contend AR2.

    Looks sweet as a mothereffer. But did you really say the BB on this isn't threaded? The only reason pressfit is a thing because with carbon to have threads you need to have metal bits (and that creates many challenges). So they made a metal frame and turned it into crap... Those cats at Spesh must be high as fuck.

      yes this has been lke this since the beginning of the bike, I think maybe next year they are working on a newer model and im gona say I think they are going to make it threaded, and maybe integrated headset
