Beautiful full-bloded racehorse! I have the 1.gen rimbrake version, and i simply cannot stop loving it - its so freaking agile, respons and fast! Tried many carbon aerobikes who didnt had the same spark to it. If you see someone at a race on an Allez Sprint, be worry - they can race for sure.
1. Loved the video. This Allez Sprint is crit ready... Maybe deeper wheels... 2. Anyone complaining about the weight doesn't know what they're talking about.
Cable routing through the BB and headset is a total PITA on this frame. Calming music and maybe some good editing work made this look much easier than when I did it :-)
I had and have neverending problems with noises near the bottom bracket. Tried everything, even expensive one piece BB. Besides nice and really stiff frame. But with noises appearing after a few hundred km no fun
Yea, to me it was just the same impression, a killer looking one! But the welds simply ruin it (at least in this light)! I have an aluminium welded frame made over 12 years ago and the welds are not polished as well, but they are barely noticeable (Corratec/Germany).
I mean maybe it’s just me but this is very similar to an allez sprint I’m thankful to own and the bike absolutely shreds. Why so rimstubborn? There are big scary hills where I live, brakes are good.
@@janemf my bike needs to meet my own needs only, the reason you choose the type of bike you ride is not my concern, even though it looks like bike manufacturers like to dictate what people are riding, that is when I simply choose another manufacturer if they no longer meet my needs. Capitalism.

This is a very high end build and the weight is impressive for this frame. I have this frame built with Rival AXS with a Force AXS crank and power meter, 50mm Farsports wheels and an aluminum Specialized bar and stem. It weighs almost a full kilo more.
wow, nice ride you got there 🤩 the weight difference is mostly coming from the wheels, ours are crazy light 😅 yours might be faster on the straights though 😉
7,4kg is absolutely insane for an alloy bike imho - I recently got hands onto the exact frameset, lets see how low I can get it with a SRAM red 1by setup and zipp wheels.
@@kristijansolev2485 bro, this is aluminium. Complaining about welds in aluminum is like complaining that the car has an engine or something, I don't know. It is simply needed, there is no other way to make a stiff and light aluminum frame without thick welds

Any comments or advice on the internal cabling from the bars to the headset? I noticed you didn't bother with a full integrated stem+cable solution. I see people 3d printing pieces to use the SL7 stem. I have a 2022 allez sprint comp and I'm thinking of getting these same roval bars

Question about the freehub body on the rear wheel with the Roval Alpinist CLX wheelset. Was it the XDR? When I search for the same wheelset, they are all provided with the Shimano HG 11-speed freehub body. If I want to use the SRAM Rival eTap 12-speed, I'll need the XDR freehub body. Therefore, was it supplied with the wheelset? Or was it changed out afterward? Or am I missing something here?
It really looks that way. As far as we know Specialized is offering the wheel set with the normal Shimano freehub body only. You could try at your local dealer, or just order one online and swap it afterwards yourself. It's the common DT Swiss XD freehub body and we had plenty of those lying around.
Both are made by Wera. If you're planning to get a 3/8-inch square drive torque wrench, make sure it can torque in both directions, not just clockwise.
En effet, ce cheminement permet au cycliste de changer lui-même une potence ou un guidon sans avoir à couper la durite de frein. Avec le guidon aérodynamique plus lourd et moins d'entretoises, les lignes sont en fait à peine perceptibles.
I'm shocked with the weight of the frame... 2022 and we still find framesets much heavier that many bikes from 20 years ago... and it's "only" some €1.300 for a hefty base for your build. Anyway...
Roughly €6500 for frame, groupset, wheels and cockpit. Add another €750 for saddle, bar tape, tires, sealant, stuff like that. So for all I estimate €7000 - €7500 excluding labor, LOL!
Simply cannot warm myself for disc brakes. When I see people friggin' around with fluids, pumps, squeezers, special tool sets etc. my skin crawls up. My bike is 6years old, in top shape, weighs 6.8kg's without the complexity, failure rate, weight and cost of disc brakes. Your milage may vary.
@@XxxxTxTxxxX you must be riding pretty aggressively if you feel rim brakes are not even safe for you. Maybe you should tone it a bit down Mr. speed demon ;)
Poor construction. The frame is only good for sunny days. Two big holes in the frame at the bottom bracket. Usually one puts a tiny hole for moisture relief. Specialized puts two big holes there and all the dirt flies into the frame. Same thing for the seat post. Also routing of the shift cable for the front derailleur is horrible. For me those are pretty big failures for such a company.

Hi should the front brake hose have been in the slot and not in a hole in the compression ring as you've done ?
Yes, it should've been in the slot.
I really cannot believe those welds really looks so cheap. Some alloy bikes you can hardly see the welds. Shame as its a pretty cool paint job
May I ask what bottom bracket do you use for this bike with SRAM groupset?
Lovely bike, I have the same frame but different color
SRAM's own BSA-threaded BB for DUB.
