When I was a kid, the story that we all told was that Vicki won a Carol Burnett lookalike contest....LOL....now I know the whole story! They're both great!!!
Amazing how Vicki and Carol sound so similar in voice, accent, inflection... especially since they're from different regions of the country. If either lady had anything bad to say about the other, I never heard it.
Carol Burnett with VL, HK,& TC was Saturday night. And, yes we all thought they were sisters. I just could never get past "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia". PS: I think there was a Mr Porter Waggoner in there but that might just be the old brain box playing tricks on mer.
There are not any coincidences in this world, those two were fated to share the same stage, successfully so. I really miss seeing those characters on the box; I rather doubt that show could succeed in today's world. No matter, we all have our memories of them.
