mama's family, 227, amen, growing pains, happy days, Laverne and Shirley mr.belvader etc etc ...were the LAST of its kind shows in the '80s about true clean classic family comedies you will never see again...in the '90s things started changing to reality shows little by little..now today its nothing but trash on tv...sad but true.
Well Roseanne, I mean the Conners' have been rebooted as well as Full House and Murphy Brown. Of course a Family Matters reboot would be nice and the cast has remained close and would love for it to happen!!

Not a TV show could ever compare to Mama’s Family. My daughter and I still watch it. We have never been able to get enough of it. Carol Brunette, was a much Older women, that I absolutely loved as a very young teen. I still love her, so that’s where I first started seeing Mama, I love Vicki so much. Those two are so Special to me, even now. This is wonderful to get to see them, that played all those funny parts, in real life. I’ve laughed so much with that TV show, until tears would roll down my face. My daughter and I still watch it every chance we get. I had my daughter later in life, she’s 23 now, so another one that absolutely loves this Classic TV show. I’m sure it will live on through our children, that love it as much as we do. I really did enjoy watching this.
I met both Allen Kayser and Dorothy Lyman at the Chiller Theater convention (Separate times) they were two of the nicest people! I took a photo with them.
I can’t believe someone thought they wouldn’t want Allan Kayser on the show! There would have been an inexplicable hole in my life if he wasn’t on the show! He was so good and perfect in that role, just wonderful. He made you just really love bubba. And now let’s not forget how unbelievably gorgeous he was! I couldn’t take my eyes off of him when he was on screen!
Bubba and Iola were inspired characters! They were very needed for the show to work. This cast was perfect while the cast from the first couple seasons sucked.

I was 8 years old when Mamas Family came on Fox 28 at 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. I had a small black and white TV in my room and I would sneak and watch it Monday thru Friday when I was supposed to be asleep. To this day I own the complete series on DVD and I listen to it in the car in my phone on the way to and from work. I have every episode from season 3 on memorized. I love the entire cast!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My favorite sitcom of all time. I watched Mama's family as a kid at my grandmother's house. Every time I sit down to watch it now it takes me right back to a simpler time when the world moved slower and everyone wasn't in such a hurry.

I love Mama! My family is from Western Virginia, Eastern Kentucky and I lived Mama's family. We had a Eunice and an Ellen. I just couldn't wait to leave them behind and go home. The series is so real to me and whenever I watch the series I feel that I am reliving my life. The humor is just so familiar to me. For me it's like smelling wood smoke in the autumn and I am transported back to the farm and having to deal with a whole cast of characters. Great job. I lived in Europe for 28 years and I have just discovered Mama's Family.
26, From eastern KY, and I’ve been watching Mama’s Family since it was on in the mornings on TBS. I think that’s why this show is so timeless, it reminds us of our own family. I personally know someone just like Mama. This show is a comfort for me. If I’m missing my own mama, I turn on mama and it’s like I’m transported to my childhood.
We were from Mississippi and could relate all too well to it. Plus they were second generation from Eastern Europe and I think that made it all the more relatable. They were Southern crazy and Slavic crazy at the same time.

Mama's family was so cheesy and it should have been awful, but it remains something that I can watch over and over again. I don't know if it's nostalgia from watching it with my grandma or if it is just how unrelentingly charming the cast is, but it can still make me laugh out loud
Part of the draw for me was that it was staged and designed like a cartoon. The living room was standard and ordinary, like a cartoon backdrop. Each character had a clothes color pallet, often exaggerated and the loud voices. It had a cartoon feel.

It is always a treat to see a cast that worked together years ago get together, and this shows that this cast really liked each other. It was a silly show, but it was fun.

RIP Ken Berry. He was so much older then the rest and I didn't know it. Mama's Family was one of my favorite shows. I have the whole series now but I use to watch it after school at 4:00-5:00. Then the changed it to 3:00-4:00 which I didn't like because I would miss the beginning of it. But then they went to 1:00-2:00. I hated that so I had to get a VCR. But then a fire stopped that. They went even earlier at 10:00-11:00. But it was everyday so at least I got to see Sunday and Saturday. I never imagined owning the series again. Until DVD.
Mama's Family was right up there, with I Love Lucky, to me. I loved Carol Burnett so, so much. When Mama's Family came on I was a young girl glued to those three shows, I love Lucy, Carol Burnett show, and Mama's Family. All three made me laugh so much. Classic, and classy.

i was surprised that she didn't remember the reunion on the Vicki show too. As far as I know that was the only time they all were together before this interview here. Dorothy and Allan seem to have the best recall -- especially Allan, who can still sing the words to "Raytown, Oh Raytown"

And just to confirm your posting, I follow Mama's Family very closely and I know for a fact that was the only time they ever reunited after the show, the one time. Vicki did reunite with the Carol Burnett Show a few times over the years but never Mama's Family clan other than on her show so as you said very surprising. Agreed that Dorothy and Allen seem to have the best recall.
I adored this show so much. My mom is from the south. I grew up in the big city and my mom likes Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Elvis, and the Mandrell sisters. And we'd watch HEE HAW, the Andy Griffith Show, and movies with country influences too, that randomly came on TV, we did not have Cable back then. Plus I spent more time getting to know my mom's brother and sister. That I could totally relate to Mama's Family. My dad's side is Hispanic and they did not visit enough to really get to know them to well. I'm so shy around them, even as an adult.

This 2nd run of the show was so much better with Bubba and Iola Boylan. These 5 actors had such GREAT chemistry and I loved this show.

I just love the Mama's family I really enjoy watching it over and over again I just sit sometimes it just watch the show now and then wish they would have continue the show but you all did a wonderful job

RIP Ken Berry. He was so much older then the rest and I didn't know it. Mama's Family was one of my favorite shows. I have the whole series now but I use to watch it after school at 4:00-5:00. Then the changed it to 3:00-4:00 which I didn't like because I would miss the beginning of it. But then they went to 1:00-2:00. I hated that so I had to get a VCR. But then a fire stopped that. They went even earlier at 10:00-11:00. But it was everyday so at least I got to see Sunday and Saturday. I never imagined owning the series again. Until DVD.

When Mama's Family came on I was a young girl glued to those three shows, I love Lucy, Carol Burnett show, and Mama's Family. All three made me laugh so much. Classic, and classy.

i was surprised that she didn't remember the reunion on the Vicki show too. As far as I know that was the only time they all were together before this interview here. Dorothy and Allan seem to have the best recall -- especially Allan, who can still sing the words to "Raytown, Oh Raytown"

And just to confirm your posting, I follow Mama's Family very closely and I know for a fact that was the only time they ever reunited after the show, the one time. Vicki did reunite with the Carol Burnett Show a few times over the years but never Mama's Family clan other than on her show so as you said very surprising. Agreed that Dorothy and Allen seem to have the best recall.

I adored this show so much. My mom is from the south. I grew up in the big city and my mom likes Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Elvis, and the Mandrell sisters. And we'd watch HEE HAW, the Andy Griffith Show, and movies with country influences too, that randomly came on TV, we did not have Cable back then. Plus I spent more time getting to know my mom's brother and sister. That I could totally relate to Mama's Family. My dad's side is Hispanic and they did not visit enough to really get to know them to well. I'm so shy around them, even as an adult.

I’m watching Mama’s Family today and loving it just like I did when it was on re-runs in the 90s this show brings me back in time it’s also very soothing and calm makes you forget about the pandemic 😷 for a little while 🙏🏻🥰❤️🙏🏻

It is crazy seeing Mama younger than everyone else!!! Wow, thank you so much for sharing this - Mama's Family was such a happy and joyous staple in my childhood and it was wonderful seeing this!
I will watch Mama's Family till I die. Gen x here, so this is just great classic tv. Vicki was great years later on a show called yes dear. Another classic tv for me as well. Great group of people right here.
