You should try TF, because if the small difference between his e cooldown and the eye showing up, he can e off cooldown between each eye and still hit every eye, which gives more dps and heavily reduces er requirements.

@grimoire weiss fan ikr? It's like they all want "yelan", Bennett, xingqiu, fischl only when that's not realistic. Like.. at all. You can find a suitable team even as a f2p. Like I main kokomi and Nahida because I play supports yet kokomi mains got attacked with "kys" and such. I only recently mailed tighnari which is rare for me to main dps and will be maining cyno as well. I can easily fit cyno into my team comps and I don't even have a 3rd of the 5 stars or some of the 4 stars full cons.
It's pretty ridiculous to deal with the genshin community who think everything has to be "game breaking only"

Tbh most people ive seen who do say these type of characters aren’t good don’t really tell you to not pull them. In fact everyone is like pull for whoever you want.

It’s so pleasing to see people who appreciate Cyno! He is my favorite character and I think his hyperbloom team is one of the best in game. And no doubt only Cyno can provide that good electro application in this team. Also Aggravate Cyno is a nice option
well technically Kuki, Raiden, and even Razor can also apply the same amounts of electro 😅

I didn't regret I pulled him even as an F2P. His playstyle is unique and to find the right timing on his elemental skills is so satisfying.
he needs some battery though, that's a problem unless we have a weapon that gives er based on em of character

@@tanker4820 it is worth trying to prioritise energy recharge on some of his substats. I have a crit circlet, electro dmg bonus, and the rest is em, but I tried to get all the artifacts to have energy recharge since I have not seen a er main stat artifact in forever My cyno will charge himself to full energy by the time his burst is complete if I get every skill time correct. He has no downtime this way and I don't really have a battery (currently using Yaoyao, traveller and kuki, so no battery)... Idk if it's better to just have one er main stat artifacts over each artifact having a little but it is possible for him to self battery like Raiden

@@beKind_always Hi! Yes, Yaoyao is my only Dendro and I run Cyno without Nahida since I got him in the release. Since she can both apply Dendro and heal, it opens the slots for other characters. My current Aggravate Cyno Has him, Kazuha, Yaoyao and Beidou and he does pretty fine without Nahida. Ofc she'll be his best Dendro Application but she's not necessary. Dendro MC works fine too.

@@rii2448 most abysses nowadays literally have 2-3 bosses in chamber 12 and a couple elite enemies that come in waves of 2-3, so idk what you mean when you say 'niche'. Obviously hes bad if you are playing against like 50 mushrooms or smth, but even then kazuha fixes that pretty easily. He really doesn't have many er issues with tf either, and with an electro battery and/or fav 120 er is adequate. If you really wanted to use him in wave content just him in double dendro with dmc and yao yao.
@@yayeet4250 the abyss rotates every now and then so it doesnt really matter if he’s good this specific abyss. The main issue with with him is his field time is too long about 18s I think. Most support skills last for about 10 seconds like fischl oz (xingqiu is like 18 but you cast his burst first so when its cyno turn, it has about 10s left). His damage is really good the first 10s but starting to fall off after the support skills ran out
@@renimious switch him out then its not that big of a deal you can even use that time to battery him and setup your supports again. People be hating on him as if xiangling does not need to be batteried by bennet too. Also, have yall ever tried hyperbloom on aoe? Its still far from bad wdym?

@@rii2448 other than "lack of stagger resistance" the other problem you listed here isn't that impactful in the actual play tbh, ER issue?, he's electro and mostly paired with another electro so you got extra particle from resonance, it's not that hard to burst every rotation with around 120 ER, even less with TF set, multiple waves?, Just go unga bunga for a bit more until you got your another a4 proc and start over, i get it, he's mid and his pull vallue isn't that high either, but people tend to think that he's worse than he actually is since he's been called a worse keqing which is true but only in aggravate since in quickbloom cyno is still better than her, but keqing herself is a decent unit nowadays, i will pick cyno over abysmal wanderer any day any time

Go for it. Cyno is great if you like him. EM, Crit, ATK. Try to get enough ER on his artefacts. Add some dendro + hydro in his party and go nuts :)

His banner came with the desert and farming for the scarabs was just pain. Now it’ll be much easier :)
As an added detail I love his footstep sound. Especially in the desert ruins, bare feet on the ancient stone floor. Adorable. (Oh, he’d be so furious to hear someone call him that 😅)

Cyno is honestly really fun to play as. Plus his Hyperbloom teams are really good. Also, unlike the Raiden Shogun, *Cyno can use Beidou's burst with his.*

And raiden increase her burst dmg too and provides sufficient ER

I don’t know why people stay hung up on ei not working with beidou when even in practice ei by herself is going to kill everything fast enough to make beidou ult worthless
many people say that cyno is bad and they regret pulling for him. He is amazingly perform the best in hyperbloom and aggravate. When you pair him with xingqiu or yelan (if you have her), he could destroy one chunky enemy in one burst. I test my uncrowned cyno with xingqiu, nahida and kuki on the algorithm semi matrix cube thingy and i can wipe it out with one rotation before it enters the invisibility state. This is what i proud of being cyno main and this achievement is something that can't achieved with my other character despite how chunky and bulky the hp that cube has

You should see him in the new abyss. A guy was using charge attacks to reposition and avoid the bird+scorpion. Fastest and safest clear I've seen on that floor.
no one ever said he was bad, Cyno's biggest downside is simply he's burst reliant. so overworld players will often take longer than necessary to fight a hilichurl camp to save his burst, which can get annoying. and for Abyss players, there's simply better options. he's very similar to Keqing (especially in aggravate teams) and most players have a Keqing laying around from losing the 50/50. so the question is if he's worth your hard-earned primogems. but he can 36* with no problem

A lot of people do say he's "bad" that mentality started when people found out Cyno performed underwhelming on aggravate team comp, and then people found that keqing was better (so why waste time, right? If majority of people already have keqing laying around). Although even after his release it was noted he worked better with a quickbloom team comp, yet the damage was already done.

I pulled cyno for his lore, suffered for weeks in making him lv85, got nahida to make him stronger, ended up playing nahida kokomi kazu kuki hyperbloom most of the time XD

2pc glad 2pc wanderer's waves at you bro. Almost all my dps characters use hybrid 2pc and they're strong af. Most likely you already have glad/wanderer pieces with great substats
Swap out kazuha kuki with dori cyno and you’ll easily beat any opponent in game😂, and you get to have kazuha helping other teams

I think people who say "Cyno bad" don't like his rythm based playstyle... Cause as far as playable character goes, he is the first who have actual QTE mechanic... He is fun, but takes time to get used to his playstyle...
It's not only the gameplay, it's also about how that gameplay affects you and the field. His endsears ungroup enemies, he's very punishing if you mess up even a little bit, he has no resistance to interuption so getting staggered is common. Which makes him "bad" in comparison to characters who don't have that problem while dishing out more damage.
if you use razor as main like me, you'll easy to adapt
@user-dm3if7iw4e he has resistance on interruption, 1 heavy hit wouldn't be enough to him but 2-3 heavy hits in just 1-2s would interrupt him

Cyno isn't bad its just that Keqing at similar investment levels does comparable dmg. He's also a little like Yoimiya in the sense that he lacks enough resistance to interruption. In most teams, he desperately needs a shielder or he's going to get staggered. And with his long on-field duration and how timed Cyno's playstyle is, its a huge dps loss when you miss your E bc you were either busy dodging or you got hit and were sent flying.
He used to be the one and only dps in my team until I got raiden. As a beginner, his game play was a little complicated to me, and he easily dies during burst (I don't have zhongli btw), but thanks to him I survived in every game story although I didn't build him well. Now is the show time for raiden, nahida and alhaitham lol.

You can play any character you like, tho this video proved further that he is really bad since you gave up a support unit to improve damages and his damages are still low.

Honestly I don’t understand why people don’t like him , despite having well built meta characters I wasn’t able to get all the stars in the abyss until cyno joined my party and since then he became my first option in almost any situation
Not surprised. Dendro and electro have been really enjoying the 3 dmg source meta. Soup isn't optimal, and sukokomon is hard to perform effectively consistently. On the other hand, having hydro, dendro and electro doing dps all at once is very easy thanks to dendro meta. Dendro character is spreading and helping form seed, electro is aggravating and hyper blooming the seeds, hydro is enabling and just doing a ton of damage. That's why these teams are so strong.
Without Nahida, you can't consistently trigger aggregate dmg throughout his entire burst rotation.
most people dislike him, because he costs you 14.400 primogems and he's basically a small upgrade from Keqing, which most players have laying around from losing the 50/50
it's not that he's bad, but he's just not a huge upgrade for your account

@@thesalvertos I love, love Cyno but honestly I will say he is a cooler Keqing that does more damage and can be more fun, but totally useless in exploration and dailies. It's like Keqing with some upgrades and downgrades. Kinda like, Yoimiya and Hutao, or Ayato and Childe.
Put enough time/money into them, any character is good. The game is specifically designed to be that way. Anyone so concerned with the meta to the point of deeming a character “bad” is wasting their time. There’s not a single piece of content in this game that requires that level of meta gaming. This is not an MMO or a fighting game, it’s a single player rpg
Cyno simply has a low ceiling and requires the maximum amount of investment to get to that ceiling. It doesn’t mean he’s bad but you do have to invest and accept that you have to use more strat when trying to clear Abyss with him.
Cyno’s kit is crazy fun, it’s only his damage that sucks. He’s “bad” for people who want easier Abyss clears and monsters in the over world to go away faster. He’s still a fun unit to use.
But also like, one tick of my Xiao skill can get rid of the weaker overworld enemies and I can explore in peace, plus I get energy. With Cyno, exploration takes way longer until I fully commit to investing in him. Again it doesn’t mean he’s “bad” but it’s likely why some ppl regret the pull
Idk if u consider abyss, but mostly when meta is being talked abt, abyss is what they're usually pointing. And in abyss, not all characters can be good even with enough investment.
@@marcelusjarabe4057 Abyss is definitely a stat check for a lot of people but it's still not really endgame. Genshin is still largely a single-player game, including the Abyss. There's no real requirement to play optimally or to pick the most optimal characters since you're the only one affected by those decisions and there's no reward or reason to keep doing Abyss after 36 stars.
MMOs not only require players to work together to beat the content, there are rewards for completing said content multiple times. These games have far greater reason for meta gaming to exist, including how your choices and gameplay could affect your teammates.
Fighting games and other competitive PvP games revolve around meta gaming in order to get a competitive edge over your opponent. Knowing a character's frame data and optimal combos could be what gets you into the next rank.
Meta gaming in Genshin just feels unnecessary and likely only exists because players have nothing to do while they're waiting for their resin to refresh.

Cyno is like a miracle to my account. I was trying to get c2 Kuki Shinobu in his banner, but I got c2 Cyno within 70 pulls, and that's right after I got Venti ! Since then, even if he's absolutely useless in exploration I still love him a lot bc of his satisfying playstyle. He carried me through the abyss too, I plan to get Nahida, Yelen and his weapon to do him justice.

I first played the game when Cyno's banner came out and he was my first 10 pull wish and I actually got him. And I do not regret ever getting him in the slightest.
I also have Nahida and am planning on getting Yelan in the next banner but I dont have Fischl. I may use another Electro character since I have planty

@@zixsparrow7654 Collei is a bad unit overall, Can Barbara provide constant off field dmg and ramping dmg buff? Not to mention Traveler's burst cant keep up with the high uptime of Cyno's burst which leads to awkward rotation.
@@miftachulrahman2511 my cyno gets hit alot and gets interupted so I use barbara to heal/extend the dendro traveler burst range. I recently used beidou to make up for the high er needs of cyno as well. beidou shield aint bad too cuz hes resistance to interrupt is barerly there

I believe if you had got nahuda on the EM build, cyno wouldve dished out way more damage since he scales off EM as well especially with his signature weapon.

I really hope he reruns again soon I only have lisa for electro and I’m really wanting some new electros especially a good damage dealer and I love his burst it feels like a devil trigger form the dmc games and the timing gimmick with the eye is super super cool to me

when I got him by accident I immediately built him even with the white tassel. he's doing great, will get his weapon on his rerun ☠️✊
Having just Nahida and Yelan is all you need I just replaced Fischl for Zhongli and I see my Cyno still doing around 23000 damage with just using a white tassel.

I used to hate Cyno but I found out I was just using him in the wrong team, now I use the same team as yours but with Kuki instead of Fischl and it's really enjoyable

As a f2p i can't afford 2 5 star supports just to support another 5 star dps , my cyno with mt f2p team and weapon can't clear abyss f12. My keqing easily clears the same floor with the same team and cyno's artifacts.
If you have a c2+ collei, xingqiu and a kokomior Barbara you might beable to.
He is too bad in only agravattes xd and keching destroy only with that, he need hydro to do some hyperblooms or his dmg will be too low xD
He only needs nahida, the rest can be 4 stars, if you play him on purely aggravate team you’re playing wrong btw

i think the main argument for all of this is how expensive cyno is. most parties you have with him are four or three 5 stars, so yeah, cyno is not "bad" he is just not f2p friendly.

Originally my team was Cyno, Fischl Nahida and Kokomi. After I pulled Ei I switched her in for Fischl. But exploring kinda sucks without an archer, so I swiched her back in for Cyno. I really like him but outside of the Abyss I can't seem to get much use out of him.
It takes a incredibly smart individual person to just play who they want to play despite the sheep saying otherwise, good on you mate!!!

I like cyno and his playstyle, but he IS bad in dps and that is a FACT proven multiple times. Play whoever you like just don't exaggerate their powerlevel. Genshin is an easy game :)

Cyno isn't bad, he is niche but he is good in his own niche. He is just stuck and needs to be played with dendro and the only character that can match him currently is Nahida, dendro MC works but the burst and dendro application isn't consistent. I'd say he is an expensive character to own like you MUST have Nahida for him.

@@Kam1_9 As they should, knowing that the EN playerbase worry so much over "meta" which in the end doesn't matter that much since the game is fairly easy to play and doesn't need you to play 24/7 just farming. Like they aint gonna enjoy the game at all if all they care about is big numbers and invalidating any releasing characters esp Kokomi, Kazuha, Nahida.etc.
