For those wondering, Jezza did get in the sled on one of the runs but the one you see on tape is with him at the back on his phone when they take off. He narrated his experience and they dubbed it over another run for some reason.
+Kellen Burns I imagine they recorded 2 runs, one was a practice, without Jeremy, and one with, but maybe the one with him in it only got the audio, just my guess.
I have done the Whistler track. With a Canadian expert driver and have to say it was one of the best experiences of speed i have had. I wanted to go again right there and then. If I could bob sled to work every day I'd be sooooo happy.
When I was in the Police force, we did several things for various charities. One of them being parachuting. We trained with the Armed services at the Joint Services Parachute Centre at Netheravon probably 28 years ago. I enjoyed it so much, I returned a couple of weeks later to jump again. The Instructors were pleased to see me and after jumping again, put me on a parachute packing course, which was great. I continued jumping there for a while until meeting my fiancé (now wife), who wasn't interested in joining me, so I gave up. However, I wanted to do other things and tried to get a group together so that we could do the Cresta Run for charity. We never did, but I look back on that time with amazement that I didn't have the fear that I do now!
I imagine they had to take multiple take for this. Its not impossible, and Jeremy doesnt seem like the dude to skimp out on something like this. How dangerous can it be
+Kristian Kumpula I rode a bobsled once, but it was on wheels in the summer in the 1980 winter oympicstrack, I think it got up to 60 mph, it's a lot of fun
I rode a bobsleigh at lake placid in the summertime. It was on roller blade wheels. We only reached a top speed of 55-60 mph, but we set the fastest time that day. The driver was a professional but the rest of the crew was comprised of myself, my sister, and my father. The entire time my sister kept hitting her head against mine due the g-forces being stronger than her neck. This turned what was an otherwise enjoyable ride into a painful one, and left me with a headache at the end.
+GODOFHELLFIRE3 I love Jeremy, but I wouldn't say he's the sweetest person alive, but I think this dude's analysis was either for the show or he had some vendetta against Jeremy. I wouldn't identify as a thrill-seeker, but I would have fun on a bobsled.

Maybe theres a scenario where an entire German regiment is marching up a bobsled ramp and the British army only has one bobsled, a bunch of swords and tape. Dont underestimate 4 dudes in a sliding bullet.
Another comment explained that they likely did several takes of rerunning the bobsled ride, but that the starting one where Clarkson was actually in the sled didn’t look good in every shot so they reshot subsequent runs with another person standing in for Jeremy because they either didn’t want to risk his untrained self on multiple attempts or because he didn’t want to do it again, so you have that awkward shot of him narrating that he’s on the sled while clearly not on it, but also shots of him actually being in the sled (likely mixed in with shots from subsequent takes where they have the “fake Jeremy” on the sled)
The doctor is so on point about everything he says. Jeremy's always been an anti social brat who grew up upper middle class and has shown little remorse for his co presenters throughout the show. Especially towards James.
I just cant help but think, since he's narrating, that he survives.
